Had fun times with a PC crew (including bweghost ) Friday night. Didn't have a Havoc unlocked on that manifest, so I colored and renamed my OG Turian Soldier accordingly and shot rockets on extraction. Then, as mordokai summarized, I went PUGing Gold yesterday and dropped into his lobby. Smiled when I saw him change to a Havoc, then knew I was in the presence of a BSNer when he messaged me "for corey" before we readied up. Was a good match, and I got stuck "Waiting for other players" afterwards, too. I'm editing the video this morning to grab highlights and set to music, so hopefully will have it up by later today, time depending. I'm running green and black camo. Might be a little too much green in hindsight... might change up to stripes today.

Me, DragonRacer , K_O_513 & firerider just did some runs for the homie Corey. There are 4 runs, so the vids will take a while to upload, but I'll make a playlist for anyone who wants to check them out later.

Seems I just missed out on PS3 shenaniganz, so I took my sentinel for a spin on my non-havoc alt, showed the rippaz what-for, and Corey must have had a word with the RNG gods

Tribute done too the day I heard this bad news, with a Havoc freezing, charging and punching enemies, as Corey imagined him I suppose.

Sad news indeed. Fired up ME3 for a few Havoc solos and realised just how much I've missed it.... Corey and the others made one of the most addictive and fun MP games I have ever played, and that is something I will be eternally grateful for. Thank you for everything Corey. May you rest in peace dude. Some dumb-assed clips from my solos....

For me it was very much a reminder of the heyday of ME3 MP. All of us are good players, so you don't have the classic "I died we wiped" syndrome, it wasn't taken too seriously, you can rely on your teammates to revive you and help during objectives. Basically it was relaxing escapist fun, something we really need in this world. I'm going to repeat myself, ME3 MP is something to be proud of .

So I finally got to do a havoc match with some buddies (Clyde and GKHand) instead of randoms and as mentioned in the highlights thread we had a blast. Batgloving havoc is fun! I tried to get a pic of all if us as Clyde was unable to record, but they wouldn't stay still long enough!

Good work to everyone in the thread, and I was glad to be a small part of this tribute. I was particularly pleased to see DragonRacer and mordokai hooking up - the former was pretty much the reason I came out of the woodwork on BSN, because of personal stuff, while the second is my main buddy online, thanks to the greatness of this game. I really need to hop back onto PS3 for a while.

Damn! I'm just reading this now... I... I'm not really good with words in these cases, and I sure as hell can't put my finger on one single memory from this game, but ME3MP has managed to capture my heart, and still holds on to a piece of it, and will continue to do so for the whole eternity. No other game has ever managed to do that in such a way. Corey... Is it possible that I remember him posting in the old bsn? I have vague reminiscences... Regardless, rest in peace my friend. Because anyone who helped giving birth to something that made me feel so incredibly many and deep emotions is my friend, and will always be. Sad news. RIP Corey. As a great Turian once said, "May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows you're dead." To those who knew him and may end up reading this thread, be assured he made a positive difference to many people's lives. The fact the MP section of BSN Prime was an entirely different environment from the rest of the forum speaks volumes about the part of the game Corey helped create, and to some extent those who play it. It was and is almost universally loved, and we are still holding the line here, sharing war stories and build advice and generally accepting that lightning was indeed captured in a bottle. It's not perfect, but it's pretty damn close. In a world where the bottom line appears to be the sole consideration for the corporate suits, and the cause of much wailing and gnashing of teeth among increasingly frustrated gamers, it's heartening to be reminded that Corey and the team he worked with actually loved what they were doing, and managed to create something of outstanding quality where profit appeared to be a secondary consideration. ME3 MP became much more than 'just a game' to me, it became a way of life. It still is, 3000+ hours on, something I seem incapable of tiring of. Particularly for someone like myself with bad health, time spent doing something you love can never be considered a waste of time. Genuine fun is priceless, vital nourishment for the soul. I've always believed that co-operation is better than competition, in all walks of life beyond individual sports, and gaming is no different for me. I was initially terrified of playing multiplayer, and was one of those who questioned its validity in a Mass Effect game. It took me a while for the penny to drop that all my Shepards naturally gravitated towards uniting the galaxy in its entirety against the Reaper threat, so my unwillingness to do so with other real life players was slightly paradoxical. I finally accepted that there was nothing wrong with the concept of the Galaxy at War rating, and that it might actually turn out to be fun to raise it to 100%, just as long as I didn't suck too much. My initial resistance was futile anyway as the attraction of playing as a Krogan eventually proved too strong, and before I knew it I was heavily addicted, making friends on BSN and from among the random pugs I would regularly exchange 'Good Game' messages with. The variety on offer and the attention to detail in crafting the individual species has brought me so much joy I wouldn't know where to start picking highlights, but I'll finish by saying I look forward to a new highlight every time I play, and that will continue when I take my green and black Havoc into battle and respectfully remember his creator. For Palaven, and for Corey. Dude... Did I ever tell you you have a way with words? I got a bit emotional reading this, as well as all the other tributes, and... Well. It really, really made me feel like downloading ME3 again and having a go at it. Not just to tribute Corey, although that is something I'll definitely do, but... Just to play it again. Which, now that I think of it, might actually be the best tribute there could possibly be for him. It must have been a year and a half for me. I... Miss it. I didn't realize it until now, but I miss all the fun. And I'm pretty sure I could go back at it and play it in a different way now... Having more fun, and less rage. Until Primes show up, of course. Too bad I'm going on holidays in a couple days and I don't have time to download it before then, I'm afraid... But I'll definitely be playing this game again in september

Like many others, I missed the glory days of BSN Prime, missed all the weekend challenges and many of the best memes, and was really only around for the decommissioning of BSN Prime a year ago. I beat ME3 SP on xbox and only really got into MP when I bought the PC version of ME3 to go with my new laptop and realized that I could play MP free of charge. I selected the Human Adept and was shortly dispatched by two geth troopers. But I realized the MP that I thought was just a trendy half-baked add on to ME3 was pretty good. Actually, it turned out to be awesome. Three years later I've come to appreciate ME3MP as one the best MP games I've ever played and one of the two games I've spent the most time on (the other was Street Fighter II on SNES). I am sorry to admit I had never heard of Corey Gaspur until this thread. However, the dedication he had to his work is evident in the excellence that is ME3MP. It would have been so easy to phone this job in, make a mediocre PvP shooter, and fly under the radar during the ME3 ending controversy. Instead, Corey and his colleagues put together a game that is more complete and enjoyable than ME3 itself. As so many have said above, his game had brought together a tightly knit and fun-loving community in the highly fractious and Mass Effect fan base. I've met many good friends at BSN Prime and here at Cyonan's place that have always been ready to pick up their weapon of choice and stomp some rippah scum. Thanks especially to those of you who showed me how to reload cancel the claymoar even though I forgot immediately. We all owe Corey a heck of a lot of enjoyment. Corey, my most sincere thanks to you and your team for the great fun and friendship you have brought to the ME community. Rest in peace and all the best to your family and friends. I've included a few Christian remarks hidden in the second spoiler for those who care to read them. May God in His infinite mercy look not on your sins but your righteous acts, and through the saving grace of His Son bring you into life eternal with the angels, saints, and all God's people. Amen. We'll miss you, Corey. Thanks for everything.
