That last bit though doesn't make any sense. How could "most of the stuff be accurate, but leave a lot out"? It's an oxymoron.   He tends to get a bit... shall we say emotional about things.

Pretty much what I wanted to say, but I wouldn't have been able to say it so eloquently passively aggressive.

I'm not sure which I find more amusing, the nick names for this douchebag dev that is Manveer Heir or the cult fascination a few have with some Kotaku article. 

No surprises there. It's was clear by the state of the game, and even before that because of its marketing, that Andromeda had a terrible development cycle.

Again, I've ripped HR for their lousy, ineffective handling of FOURTEEN leads and dozens of lower-level developers flashing middle fingers at BioWare, but this?!?

F*** DLC. Get rid of all those inept losers in HR. (I know, that's crazy talk. Right?)

I can hear a thousand EXCUSES, but to my trained ear... they're just excuses for not being competent or effective. It's all excuses and no backbone or spine. Even worse, did they even bother contacting EA legal eagles for help? If HR did and they didn't help... they're a waste of payroll as well. How can a GM operate under those conditions? Man... I wish I was EA CEO for a day. A lot of long faces and middle fingers would be raised at me especially coming from the hallways of HR, Marketing and Legal. 

I'm 45 and had my run-ins with HR (ya think?) and I have met a few (more than one, actually three because they failed to understand the scope of the job itself. One tried to suspend me on a technicality, now her and her boss are working somewhere else. Tomorrow could be number four because they still haven't gotten back to me on a simple request that the feds f***ing want.) that LOST their jobs because they tried to do the "old college way." Yeah, that works in college, not in the real world. EA should have people that understand Canadian and American employment practices in an out... like their legal department. Again, this is what I always suspected of what was wrong behind the scenes and every time Heir opens his stupid mouth he is telling me I'm right. Every time an ex-employee goes on a podcast, it reinforces my line of thought. Every time I read about a lead's departure... it reinforces my thoughts. Buying a half-dozen employees drinks off of 6th Street and they're spilling about signing performance reviews, cliques, CYA, back-stabbing, etc. That also reinforces my thought that half of them were bad hires in the first place and the other three were thankless hipsters. (ROARS IN FRUSTRATION)

EA, hire me. I will clean out the crap in 10 days or less. All those married couples that are causing HR issues... goodbye. I'm not against couples working at BioWare, but when one is failing and the other is essential... that's when you interview candidates and inform that couple that they're an ugly issue and it's time to cut ties. If BioWare is overrun with family, then wow... it's not HR's fault, but somehow... I can't stretch my imagination that far.

Also, this is speculation, but my speculation is hot. I'm also aware of the fact that maybe... just maybe... Maker willing... that those buffoons in HR, Legal and Marketing all have been shown the door already. It's possible, but this is EA. EA, Enthusiasm Annihilated. A few recent "wins" doesn't change a long-standing reputation.

You know what? I'm going to assume the problems are addressed or being addressed. Hudson's hiring is a good sign, but those heavyweights on payroll with HR, marketing and legal had also better be addressed or just gone. BioWare STILL looks like the hated pariah in gaming and development circles.



This is EA's solution to their image problem? This is marketing? This is where money is spent to experiment with an idea and see where it takes us bullcrap? How about defending the studio's integrity instead of all this other garbage. Let the product speak for itself... MORONS. How about reconnecting with the fan base? How about not using awful pricing schemes and cutting corners? How about not cutting up vanilla and stifling real expansions? 

BioWare, do better. You only have to look back at pre-EA history and see where it all went right.

EA is doing well, though? Last year alone they released two GOTYs, delayed MEA. You can't blame them for BioWare not having a functional product with no "Whoa!' factor to be displayed in the marketing push during the last weeks.
