Men and women find different things interesting.

I'm beginning to think that Bioware should just become a AAA dev for women. Seriously. No snark or irony. Give women what they want, and men can find what they want elsewhere.

What drives a lot of the anger is men feeling they are being told to like what women like. So, if everyone knows BW is a woman's dev, men can just move on.

Men don't rage against about Cosmo magazine. They just ignore it and read Maxim.

Well I like "baffles" - I poked it into the dictionary and it returns stuff like "Prallblech", "Vorformboden", "Trennplatte". That sounds pretty constructive to me.

Bioware turned Maxim (ME1-3) into Cosmo (MEA). Look at your cute huggy icon. That's Cosmo, not Maxim. That soft, touchy-feely tone doesn't appeal to most men. Hence the heightened perceived threat to "their games" and the resultant rage.

"Bioware is for women and gays now." Please don't misconstrue me. This is not my sentiment at all, but it's out there.

I'm suggesting Bioware can avoid all this nasty hatred by going all Cosmo, unapologetically. They could probably make a lot of money, too.

Obviously goes without saying this is not my Skyrim, as mine is completely vanilla and certainly doesn't include the Tera armour mod for Caliente's Body.

Many of the small numbers of people who took issue with the female characters in DAI were being asses about it.
BioWare correctly did what they wanted to do with female characters in MEA (who look fine to me).

The folk hating on BioWare for being 'SJW's weren't going to be satisfied anyway, the greater issue is that the animation issues provided meme ammunition.
