You can do that for me. If I even post on this site anymore I was already planning on trolling Beerfish because I absolutely am done with them. Too many games out there and talented teams to be eating shit over and over. I really am done. As you wish. Uhhm... I never said I am done with their games. Not even once. I did say numerous times that I will stop supporting BW/EA games by purchasing new game at full price. I can still buy their game from eBay as used (at around $30-40) and it will give BW/EA $0 additional profit. I am fine with that.

Beerfish This time I'm serious. Shit, I should put myself on the list. OK here is my claim: * I will not pre-order. * I will wait for positive friends' worth of mouth. * IF I buy, I will wait for at least a month for the game to be out of paid beta test.

One thing Anthem has going for it is that it's a new IP and not another strictly by the number corporate churned milk entertainment product. LOL whut? Anthem looks *exactly* like the Destiny rip-off it is, which in turn is a Halo rip-off (understandably), which in turn is a generic space marine game that can trace its roots back every shooter ever made + the designers read Starship Troopers that one time (and maybe The Forever War too). Anthem is one of the most generic, corporate looking games I have seen in the last five years. Dude, it had 5 minutes of footage. 5 minutes of any Ubisoft trailer makes a game look like the greatest thing since soft toilet paper (Assassins Creed 1, Watch Dogs, The Division). I'd at least wait until there was a full gameplay demo with actual gamers...........not staged footage, before judging it. Imagine if Mass Effect showed Shepard running around the Citadel or entering the same generic bunker as their gameplay footage years ago? How generic would that have been portrayed as.

I'll make a wager right now that Athem will be EXACTLY the generic Destiny clone it looks like.
They could have made any footage they wanted to make. They CHOSE to make it look like Destiny with Iron Man suits.

Same deal with Kotor sadly, I don't mind older graphics, but to enjoy a game I must enjoy gameplay. If you can handle dated graphics for great gameplay, may I suggest Dragon's Dogma? It was originally released on PS3 and Xbox360, but has recently been released on PC as well. The story is a bit wacky, but it has a great CC, brilliant class system and builds, extensive loot/gear, and some of the best gameplay I've ever enjoyed. OT: I've currently no interest in Anthem - online only, MP only games just aren't my thing. Any other BioWare release (especially DA and ME franchises) I will consider and am likely to buy - possibly after patches and price drops. I didn't vote in the poll, since none of the available responses would express my position with any reasonable degree of accuracy.

I will play the next Dragon Age. That is a good franchise, they deserve another chance.
The rest of Bioware products though are not of my concern anymore.

I still enjoy MEA and have DEFINITELY gotten my money's worth 400 hours/$48 (BB gamers club)=8.3 cents per hour.
I wish support would continue as the game has become very promising. It's too bad launch was such a huge bust as the game is unfortunately dying...

You can do that for me. If I even post on this site anymore I was already planning on trolling Beerfish because I absolutely am done with them. Too many games out there and talented teams to be eating shit over and over. I really am done. Mass Effect was bad ass and ME2 will always be in my top 5, but that time has long passed. It's sad to see and I feel bad for the people who worked at the real Bioware back then and made those games, but it is what it is. Their new legacy lol. You mean really and truly for sure this time? The thing is with many people they do indeed dislike what bioware games have become but to have any beefing credibility they still buy the games and then they can validate the complaining. I have no issue with people abusing bioware, their games have been fading for a while for a number of reasons but the whole 'I am never buying' thing has been going on for years and some of the biggest serial beefers still buy the damn games and then lament that they bought them. I was never a ME3 hater like many. I agreed with much of their criticisms, but I loved that game as someone who prefers MP. I could surely see that the story was really downgraded. I've said it many times but to this day I still shake my head at what the big final game ending decision on ME2 turned into. We got yer hearts and we got your braaaains guys...which one you want? LMAO! The people who make the games are the ones that make them what they are. No just the writers, but all of them. Bioware left around that time. If there are some here who liked DA:I then that's all good. Everyone has their personal taste. To save time and space lets just say *massive rant here* That right there showed me Bioware had changed and it was really bad. They did a lot of shitty things at that time. Charging previous gen players full price just to drop support for them with no warning at all comes to mind. They were assholes, but man ME3 tho. I never said I wouldn't buy ME:A...I just said I wasn't going to support them aka buy used. I had every intention of doing so, but I am loyal. My friends wanted to game and were really missing that ME3MP and Amazon had the game for a really good price and release day delivery so I did buy it. It wasn't Dragon Age. It was Mass Effect! It was gonna be good!!!!! ME:A was the defining moment. I denied it after DA:I, but Bioware really is dead. The people who made that studio what it was and the games what they were are gone. Now we have this. I really don't like it and they really don't get it. It's all good, best of luck to them. I think we all know what their focus is these days in the reports we read about the dev, but that's a whole nother discussion and doesn't even matter to me. I care about the games. Ark is coming back at the end of this month (hopefully). I have my close friends who I play and talk with almost every night. I have Ragnarok on the way and the Alpha Tribe spot waiting on me. With Griffins to tame, Gigas to stockpile, and war Quetzs to build (ugh I don't even want to think about breeding) I have no time for whatever garbage Bioware is cooking up with their Co Op that won't even be balanced Bioware's parting gift to me was making me look like an ass. I talked one of my tribe members into getting ME:A and his response was "So, this is the game you used to play all the time?" Unless you all make Anthem sound like the freakin second coming or something then hell no and even then I doubt I would even buy it. Actually, I'll just fully commit. I refuse to buy whatever Bioware puts out. I finally learned my lesson and I'm such a stubborn prick I wouldn't buy it even if I did want it (which I won't). I'm not going to let someone tell me "I told you so." If the majority only supported top tier games when it comes to huge publishers and devs then that is what we would get. Devs like Ubisoft wouldn't exist with their $60 betas and their online portions that never work. The game will be as bland and uninspired as ME:A is. I hope to god they learned how to balance now, but I doubt that too. I would pay a lot of money to see Anthem offer PVP. To come here and go on reddit and read the rage that a Bioware PVP would offer and their horrible balancing abilities would be some grade A reading. Also look forward to what lies they feed to people and what they believe after this.

It's my last sight unseen preorder from BioWare. Won't even be a launch day purchase, probably. But, a couple weeks out and it's got amazing reviews and the fans are ecstatic? Sure, I'm on board.

I am forced to agree with you. Anyone who likes gameplay should play Dragon's Dogma if they haven't. GREAT game. Look forward to the sequel and Capcom can go to hell for making Dragons Dogma Online, but letting us play it! Dragon's Dogma is also being remastered for current gen consoles in the future. I will also be buying Monster Hunter World. I am forced to like you due to your excellent suggestions/taste in games despite you not appreciating exceptional and creative choices in polls We all have to be the bigger man sometimes. I will stomach this blasphemy. Speaking of......So many people buying those packs and no one picks that option? Grrrrr.

I don't really have an interest in Anthem or Dragon Age. Aside from that I make it a personal policy to not preorder things as I prefer to wait for reviews to see how the game is, though I did sorta break the rule by preordering ME:A, but that was like right before it was officially launched. I also did that with RE6 (Bought it without reading reviews), that was a mistake, ME:A? Not so much. I think if they do make a sequel to ME:A, they really need to look at what people had problems with, and if it does well, I'll buy it.

Funny thing, I bought Dragon's Dogma in June for a few bucks on GOG, and I started playing it last weekend, I'm about 12 hours into the game (level 25, about to switch from fighter to mystic knight) and I'm loving it. Sure it looks like a 2012 console game, but a good one, and some landscapes are gorgeous. And the combat is great, it demands some skill, but it's no Dark Souls. If Dragon Age had this kind of gameplay, I'd sure love it as much as Mass Effect.

I think I've played every Bioware game since Baldur's Gate and paid full price for them. But I was disappointed with DA:I and really disappointed with ME:A. I didn't finish the single player campaign in either and probably never will. I played the MP in DA:I for a few months. I quit ME:A MP as soon as something better comes along.
I'm not giving up on Bioware, but I'm done pre-ordering and I'm done paying full price. From now on I'll wait for reviews and if it's good buy at the first sale. If the reviews are bad I'll either skip it or wait until it's the bargain bin.

Yep, cause even when they produce a game lacking their best effort I manage to get 400-500 hours out of it...which is 40-50x more than I get out of most other game titles. Not sure what to make about Anthem...taking a wait and see approach, but I will not pay full price for a game and then a subscription fee atop it. It's one or the other. But as long as they continue to produce SP RPG's, I'll continue to support them.

Saying they have no interest at this time, based solely on two short trailers, does not mean that they're saying they can't be persuaded as more info comes out. Are you trying to troll? Yes? In a jokey way. But yes. Actually I am mostly interested in people getting angry and saying they're done with Bioware forever (not specifically based on Anthem trailers) so that INEVITABLY when some of those people end up playing Anthem anyway, I can point and laugh in a friendly-notfriendly way.
