Is ME: A your last Bioware game?

What were the main points of criticism regarding DAIMP in a nutshell? I virtually only played SP...

Why doesn't the times Bioware has fucked him count?

DAII, ME2s story being all over the place, ME3s ending, Andromeda... one dud you say?

There's plenty of reasons to distrust bioware before Andromeda was even a thing.

No, that doesn't count. For it to count he should've said

'fuck me'

instead of

'fuck 'em'

See how important letter order can be.

ME2 is actually praised as one of their best ME games, because of the branching paths and countless ways you can kill or save your teammates.  Is it perfect?  Of course not, but you'll find far more positive reviews than negative reviews.  Far from a dud.

ME3's ending was terrible.  Yet they listened to fans and extended the ending.  How many games can you name where they add more explanation to their ending, and even change some of the scenes people see?  The game itself up to that ending was still praised, but the bad ending is what the game is remembered for.  30+ hours and it's remembered for a bad 5 minutes, which they attempted to fix.

DA2 certainly had issues, but what did they do?  Follow it up with DA:I which was also widely praised.  So there is your dud from the Edmonton studio.  Because the team that worked on your 3 examples, is not the same team that did Andromeda.  Which is why I said people who understand the issues the game had, won't hold it against the main studio that didn't work on the game.

I'm well aware of Biowares multiple studios (including the one that made Andromeda getting shut down and merged with EA motive). I still classify them all as one group under the name bioware though as that's part of brand recognition. It's Biowares own fault giving their top ip to a studio that had omega DLC and multiplayer as it's only previous work for a resume.

a lot of my examples you're just sugar coating. Oh they tried to fix the ending, or that game was still praised overall. Doesn't change the fact that some will still hold those issues vs bioware.

want to know my own biggest issue with bioware? How they've gone away from actual RPGs to action shooters, about when ME2 became a thing and then dragon age became a hack and slash combat game.

Maybe that`s the mistake I made.

I didn`t check any prior information regarding MEA when I preordered it.
I just assumed both its SP & MP to be far superior than ME3. I also didn`t want to ruin the fun by getting any spoiler.


That said, Anthem looks really really good.

When I saw Anthem promo unveil video... it helped me understand why MEA really sucked.

MEA was the child only there to get free aid and food stamp. 
Anthem was destined one to be the star getting all the attention, education and support. Ultimately making the EA family rich.

You mean as long as JRandall plays the game, you'll buy it ?

In this case I have a pretty big backlog that I'm finally cracking so no more bioware games won't break me plus other better stuff is coming out.

Bioware game or EA Game? Because at this point it's pretty much EA, with Bioware only as a brand. If a game get's good (user) reviews and good support, while I like what I see in a LP I may consider buying a game (budget prefered). But with the recent behaviour towards loyal customers I highly doubt I will buy any EA product anytime soon.

Not to mention how they ruined a popular and profitable (!) brand such as Mass Effect in no time. Nope, other companies will do better. Next Serious Sam game is waiting, developed by a dedicated team that still pulls out patches for their games after up to 10 years. Solid singleplayer and polished both PvE and PvP multiplayer. Or Elex, an old school RPG done by Piranha Bytes, coming out in october.

There is also my list of unplayed but owned games aka pile of shame waiting...
