Doubtful, as not everyone will read the books or even download them. So is Titan Books lying when they say the novels will serve as sequels and answer many questions asked by fans? No, but they'll set up events around the questions fans are asking.

Yeah, none of this is true You are wrong. Well, considering Ryde neither contemptible nor has the breadth and depth of a doormat. Additionally, Ryder is not even peripherally responsible for any of Andromeda's so-called "mediocrity". The voice work is not flat nor is Ryder a doormat or loathsome character. Again, don't agree

I've been wondering for so long since i completed andromeda but before i continue i just wanna say i enjoyed Andromeda, i just didn't have the same connection to it as i had with the original.
I am curious to why BioWare meant for ME3 to be the last of Commander of Shepard. I know wanting to put an end to a main character's story only if they were gonna do it like Dragon Age, where it is a new protagonist each game. However with ME they had something truely extraordinary going. They were just beginning to dig deeper into the lore of the Mass Effect universe. Although Shepard's story is over, with his purpose of destroying the Reapers i just still don't understand why BioWare would throw something that good away... The atmosphere of the Milky Way, just the whole universe they had built within the Milky Way was just fantastic.
They had something great going for them, and they ended it. Did they simply not have more use for Shepard and his companions? I'm not complaining, don't get the wrong idea. I am just curious.. And sad that we might never see a Mass Effect game with the fun playstyle and beautiful graphics of MEA in the universe we know, which is the Milky Way which still had a lot more to explore.

smilesja same applies to the non-coming DLC, few people will buy it. Well, technically no one will buy it because it's not coming. That save the Quarians hastag should be changed to #SaveTheQuarters for the upcoming books. You'll be right about that one griffith82 Fact: SAM's mule is a terrible character.

Three books are slated and two books, so far that we know, are set prior to even leaving for Andromeda. It was always planned as a trilogy. They made the three games without thinking "what can we do after this?" Hence, trilogy finishes, EA eyes up more dollar, Bioware goes "ah, shit..." And we end up, for better or worse, in Andromeda. I've no doubt the series will return to the Milky Way at some point, once enough time has passed that no-one really gives a shit about those endings, and set far enough in the future that it doesn't really matter anyway.

Shepards story was conceived of as a trilogy from the beginning. That and it would have been very difficult to continue from ME 3.

samhain444 The statement is still valid despite your disagreement. Rydie is an amoeba, Australia is a continent, even if you disagree those a both true. smilesja I just realized more people will buy the books than no-DLC. It makes sense to continue the story through that medium. :smiles:

Eh, again I seem to remember people acting as if no news about the books was a sign that ME A failed. Now that the books are still going to be released and might tie up loose ends, it's another sign the game failed. Way to move the goalposts, people

I said [Manveer] Rydeir is an amoeba. All I got was "you're wrong." Emotional responses, of course. People outside these forums are indifferent to this character, at best. That amoeba fell flat which is amazing because amoebas as very flat to begin with. Although, a spade would be useful to bash Ryde in the head. colfoley Amoebas are actually real. Ryddr is fictional. Amoebas have more character than Rydwr. Anyways, apologies to M. Heir. Guy is more interesting than Rydet. Later my lovely friends.

Ah so what you meant to say is 'Ryder is like an amoeba' which is an opinion.
Curiously i find Ryder to be a more dynamic complicated Character then Shepard so if Ryder is 'like an amoeba', then what does that make Shepard?

You can spin it however you like - reads pretty black and white to me that the big lingering questions will be answered. I'm sure there'll be some people with odd questions, like whether or not Ryder ever graduated from high school, and yes, I could see those questions not being answered. All the big ones continuously bandied about on the forums, I think those will be answered - especially now that we know Mac is cowriting the last book.

No reason to phrase the announcement like that otherwise. Could see this being Mac trying to make right with the franchise, squeezing in as many answers as he can to appease those wanting DLC. He's probably been working on it non-stop since he quit twitter after essentially apologizing for the game.
