Will we still be in the "when we can, we will" stage by the end of the year? (sp dlc)

Depends on what they have planned, I suppose, regarding an expansion vs dlc. Irregardless, I can't see DLC being on everyone's mind at 9 months out from release, particularly with all the game releases coming out at that time.

My stance on DLC has always been if they release it I will buy it, but I am not going to hold my breath (and that is my stance for any game). If they feel my $15 isn't enough to cover the costs I don't have a problem with it, for that is their business decision and I can almost afford to go to a movie.

Na, there will be nothing to announce, tomorrow or in 2018.

Nah, don't think they'll keep saying when they can they will, I think that closer to a possible release date BW will start teasing us more & more & if there is no additional content in the future, we'll see the language change, as a definitive 'no' (if that is the case) will almost certainly see the game die & thus there would be very little revenue generated from MP.

Those that are playing MP will no doubt be aware of the datamined characters & this time around BW is releasing 1 per month & there are 4 characters left, this will take some form of support to the end of the year, so more SP content could be added in any of the forthcoming patches.

Lastly, other things could be delaying the potential release of any additional content, the merger with Motive, the heavy patching & the VA strike will have no doubt had an impact.
Yes plans could & should have been set into motion to allow for the studios merging & maybe the dlc was to be released after 5 months, depending on the size, but patchng has delayed & the original vocal cast could be still under contract, but, would new actors for characters added be on strike?

In short, I'm not sure what's happening, but the language coming out of Edmonton will change & be indicative of this game's future.

I thought yes for sure until this week. Then I realized that this whole thing reminded me of this one crappy relationship I had where the guy didn't want to break up with me because I was such a great girlfriend but wasn't into me enough to do more than just keep me around just in case. When I finally realized what was going on I left and never looked back. I'll never forget how shocked he was that I was no longer hanging around for him. Of course later, he realized the error of his ways and did cartwheels to get me back. Didn't work. His lack of respect for me was just too shitty. I feel like that is the relationship we MEA Fans have with BW right now. 

It's one thing to not say anything due to NDAs when there is no reason for fans to think otherwise, but when every damn gaming outlet is saying that nothing is coming and MEA is dead and they are cool with letting their fans believe it, then as far as I'm concerned that says how much or rather how little they care about their product that they are comfortable to let fans of it think there will be no more. And when even the people who are being moved from MEA to other things seem to look like they are almost thrilled to wash their hands of it, it's kind of disturbing. I'm sad too say that I'm feeling kind of done with BW.

They don't want to kill off enthusiasm for the IP because they still want to milk MP players.
