Two things I very much liked about MEA were Drack and Daddy Ryder. I would have liked playing with these two and maybe Jaal as a team. Agreed on Grandpa Drack, though I got some pretty heavy synthesis vibes from Alec Ryder. Also when it came to implant AI into your body to where you could die if it was removed made me think of surgically implanted bluetooth. But to each their own on whether people like Alec Ryder or not. The thing I liked about both Drack and Alec was the fact that they were both no BS warriors/butt kickers. Most of the other characters were to mamby pamby for me in comparison. I will say, that Bioware did a pretty good job on keeping the Krogan pretty much spot on in their overall demeanor through all four games.

I felt the other characters were fine. Like I said though, to each their own.

I really liked combat in this game, especially with the addition of the jetpack.
Also liked the Nomad, even though I didn't think I would at first.

Really? Interesting. Must have been one of the things they fixed by release because me and my fiancee went out of our ways to make this happen and we couldn't quite manage it. I sort of came close but that was only through a lot of manipulation of the controller.

I don't think I encountered this glitch. I did encounter the glitch where the legs were doing.....(Ok how do I describe it.) You know where the legs were doing that spazzing slow walking thing?

This was the harder one to pull off. All you had to do was walk diagonal then down to get the first gif to happen.

I've had that one happen because of collision with tiny variences in terrain height... 'tis quiote annoying. The one that i had happen pretty often day 1 was getting stuck in terrain due to the elevation difference. You want to talk about annoying...

I haven't played since before the first major patch. I had started another play through (ng+) on the off chance we got some dlc (...) but never noticed it happen anymore (not even one time).

The very first day I played the game, I visit operations and get stuck behind boxes and couldn't get out. Didn't even have to try for that one. Still, I've enjoyed the game and will still be playing it for a while. I'm finally going to do a Liam romance after I finish my current Scott playthrough.

colfoley addressed this pretty well in his list, but I really appreciated how well all of the content fit with the plot and purpose of the protagonist. We are the Pathfinder, trying to find new worlds and make them habitable. Pretty much anything that strengthens and supports our foothold in Heleus makes sense as a task for the Pathfinder. That being the case, I never felt like I was being asked to do anything totally out of place for a Pathfinder. I feel that there are essentially two conjoined plots in the game. We have the colonization plot, which involves all the many quests and tasks that drive viability. There is also the "defender" plot, that involves defending the Ai from the direct threat posed by the kett. Building our relationship with the angara straddles and binds these plots. The LMs, and some other content, is used to develop characters and bonds, and to round out the story. This game was definitely rushed, and has more facepalm, cringey moments than I'd prefer. The core of the writing, though, is really good. I really like how they picked our protagonist's role and built the game around that, or vice-versa. The Pathfinder really fit the story and game content, possibly moreso than any previous BioWare game.

Thanks to MEA, I've bonded with many players over my hatred of Liam Alex Ryder picks him to be part of the Pathfinder team (the tip of the spear of the initiative) but Liam is incompetent, impatient, and I personally dislike idealists, he's also a dick in the Nomad. I look at Peebee stunt and I felt that, despite the fact that PeeBee crossed the line, I felt Liam's stunt was sooooo much worse and all because he didn't have the patience for building relationships slowly.

Idealists tend to be rash and emotional (and annoying) but I think that's an important factor in an effective team. I think the difference between Liam and Peebee's stunts is someone with Liam's background should know better than to take those kind of risks, while Peebee is oblivious to all except her own impulses.
