There were a lot of complaining about bioware games DAI Oh, the complaints. Holy shit. All of the "I want my Hawke!", "I want my Warden!" It was just cacophonous on the old BSN. Glad I wasn't here for that. Oh, the complaints. Holy shit. All of the "I want my Hawke!", "I want my Warden!" It was just cacophonous on the old BSN. though playing as Hawke would have probably made the game that much better. I would have preferred my Warden to my Hawke if they were going to have a previous protagonist. But that's a personal thing.

What I loved about the game:
1) Combat was action packed 2) Class Flexibility 3) Banter! 4) Nomad 5) Game looks great/Plays well. 6) Companions (Drak, Pheebe, Jaal) 7) Craft System (a bit of a learning curve) but needed for hard difficulty. 8) Music 9) Architects 10)Puzzels 11) Shot Guns with Infinite ammo and Seeking bullets !

This game was absolute CRA.....*oh...uhm...ahem....positivitey*...... ........Well as i've mentioned countless times, you can't deny this games visuals.....I still stop and stare at the environments and the cutscenes that show the details of the armor are really well done. Furthermore one can just go to the "Good Looking Ryders" thread to see some hot looking Ryders.... :amirite: . I have the vanilla Ps4 and this games visuals are incredible, even without the added effect of mods from those pc master race bums!.... ..... ....agggh...positivitey....*ahem*...i mean those glorious pc master race folks*.... Lastly....i wasn't too fond of the squadmates, but i took Drack and Vetra out with me on every mission....those two were my favs in this one. Jaal was ok, but i only took him out when the game called for it or when i went to Veold or Harval....

I just genuinely enjoy a lot of aspects of the game. It's clear where the faults were -- though I missed the majority as I played it long after it was patched -- but on the whole, I simply found the experience really enjoyable. Primarily that many of my issues with DAI, like the lack of memorable NPCs, or meaningful quest were fixed. Yes, the game is still swimming with quests that are just there, and yes, it probably has 2 maps too many for the amount of content that's there, in addition to just generally being a bit too big for its own good. But I like the contrasts with the classic trilogy, especially aboard the Tempest itself. There's certainly a lack nuance with the characters, and that has a tendency to hurt. But on the other hand, I see a lot of it as another contrast to the original trilogy. Ryder isn't as close to his crew Shep was, at least not at first, and the new setting means that there's a lot that's trying to be packed in there. Put plainly, it's a game with faults, but a lot like how I view DA2, when the game's on, it's really good. And when it's off, it misses by quite a bit. That said, even the twist that were obvious, or when I knew a mission was going to go south, it still had me invested. A couple things I really enjoyed: the banter was handled much better than it has been in the last couple games. DAI had great banter, but it had a poor system for implementing it. Really liked the change in relationship via banter, both on the ship, and in the field. Taking new crew out after major sections to hear what they say was actually enjoyable The ending sequence was handled really well, from an emotional and in-game standpoint. Even if not so from a story standpoint. It's not ME2's suicide mission, but nothing else really is, probably my favorite ending sequence since Origins, just for the sheer amount of variables taken into account. I just genuinely enjoy the Ryder/SAM dynamic. And this extends to other characters as well -- still think the scene in the Cora romance is rather adorable. Game has a lot of issues. From the lore issues, to how certain aspects were handled, to the fact that, even if I feel like it improved on DAI's weakest aspects, those aspects are still too readily apparent in the game. But I also think that it's a better game than it's given credit for. Certainly not a masterpiece but I don't regret the purchase or the playtime, personally. I haven't seemed to encounter too many lore issues, which one's did you find? EDIT: Also, I see you like Black Lagoon. That's a good anime.

I like the characters. A lot.
A lot of the squad is a massive pile of flaws, but in ways I recognize (I've seen that guy! I've -cough- been that guy!). There wasn't any character who's smoothed over in an effort to make them perfect or excessively likable. ...Which was unusual, and I appreciated. They had some problems where they'd just TELL you in what way they're crazy instead of making you infer it, but I really found the squad very relatable and enjoyable, if not always likable.

I need some positivity... Loved the characters. As stated above^ I like that they were relatable and had flaws. I really enjoyed all of the banter on board the Tempest. It made it feel more alive on board. Love the jetpacks. Whenever I play DAI or the MET I keep trying to hit my spacebar to jump all around.. I loved driving the nomad when it was fully upgraded.. I think Kadara was probably my favorite planet.. I had fun there and I enjoyed the side quests.

I like Kadara too, especially the meeting at the bar with Drack "I don't need an army, I have a krogan" Speaking of this bar ... does anyone know how many drink you need to be drunk ? I stopped after 5 or 6 try, and my Ryder was still not drunk !

I liked the Nomad- AFTER all the upgrades that made it drive easier. I liked the Casual Sex Option with Liam. I felt like the only real scene with Drack was when he told his "I used to want to die" story. But it was a pretty epic scene, so I'll excuse the rest of his "old man" talk. I liked everyone coming back at the end.
I was so mad they conveniently got rid of my cure to the genophage from OT, that I handed the Krogans nukes as payback. So there.
Will come back to add more stuff later.

The shot gun with seeking bullets
Gotta admit, I liked the class flexibility because I started as an Infiltrator, learned that sniping is stupid in MEA, and switched to Engineer. Would have had to start over the game or deal with it otherwise.

I felt nothing but disgust for Alec Ryder's death scene when it was done from the POV of Ryder.
Then I saw it from the POV of Alec Ryder in the memories. That was effective. Good job.
Great graphics, but sadly, I can never play them max because of Windows wanting an updated driver that makes it crash.

I liked that doing stupid helper fetch quests actually fell into the job description of Pathfinder. Although I kinda hate the fact that that is only so because Pathfinder as a job is so ridiculously broad and non specific, giving an Angaran a free blow job could technically fall under the parameters. Similar to how in the first act of DA2, doing ANYTHING was in your job description because you were broke as hell, had a family to feed, and needed to get on that Quest. Wish the side quests had changed in flavor in Act 2/3

I liked being the older sister to a younger brother, even if we were twins.
speaking of, I liked directly changing the siblings appearance. That is one improvement over the Hawke family I can give a thumbs up to.

I liked that you can be friend with romancable characters, I have not seen that to that degree in previous games. I liked the banter between companions in the Nomad. Especially Cora/Drack (Drack respect Cora a lot) Cora/PeeBee (how PeeBee like to tease Cora) Drack/PeeBee I liked the banter between companions in the Tempest. I liked Cora after a while : it was only in my 3rd playthrough with a femryder. Previously my Ryder wanted to slap her face many times, but my Ryder is a patient girl

Really finding my love for combat in MEA. I just hunted down the Architect on Eos, and it's one hell of a battle on insanity. Epic encounters lasting for half an hour, that's what I'm talking about I've also really gotten into the crafting system. Thanks to the Architect, I managed to get Remnant cores for the Heleus Icon Armor. Now I'm in some Remnant ruins to secure Helium for the Initiative, and doing my best to scan Remnant shit to get research data for the Remnant Heritage Armor. Also, I'm starting to enjoy the company of Ryder almost as much as I enjoy playing with Hawke and Shepard. They've really hit a sweet spot with Ryder. There is just so much to discover and do in Andromeda. With the rather weird pacing of the main plot and its relative brevity, MEA is not quite the intensive story-experience like MET was, but the beauty of MEA is the way you can just slowly explore the galaxy and always find fun stuff to do. Great value for money. On balance, I'd maybe give MEA the score of 8.5/10 For reference, my scores for MET installments: ME1 7/10 ME2 9/10 ME3 9.5/10 So MEA holds its own rather well. Importantly, it is light years ahead of ME1, which for me is the relevant comparison. If MEA one day gets the sequels it needs, the Andromeda saga could really take off and perhaps even challenge the original trilogy. Would love to see and hear more of my Sara Ryder.
