DA4 is getting mighty close to Duke Nukem 2.0 territory, if it isn't there yet. First Bioware fucks around for years with Anthem, and then they blueball fans for 3 years regarding DA4 content. At this point I'd rather Weekes just writers another TME style novel, or for fucks sake a text based CYOA. I don't want to believe that they've spent 3 years with their thumbs up their asses, but the marketer in me suspects that if they had anything to show at EA Play they wouldn't preemptively disclose that DA4 won't be the focus. It isn't anywhere close to Duke Nuken Forever, they scrapped the game and started over because it wasn't working. I remember vividly the complaining around the "cut content" around Dragon Age: Inquisition and all the whines and complaints about being misled about the game and how BioWare lied to inflate sales numbers. I rather not see anything from BioWare then have to sort through that dumpster fire again and frankly with what I have seen about the Switch recently it shows that the gaming community has only gotten worse since then since they can hype up a product by just reading rumors online.

Yes, it does suck for us to get almost nothing about the game for years. But it is probably most beneficial to Bioware to avoid giving information out about games until they're very close to release.
The issue is more that the development process took so long for them. We can only hope they pull together and come out with something that's worth it.

You can't blame this on Andromeda, different team. Development for Inquisition started up right after DA2 came out, like the month after, so why on earth did they sit on this franchise for so long after Inquisition so that we are polling about the year 2020? Especially since Inquisition was a financial success. Do they like missing out on money, or what? 1. Team was pulled to Anthem 2. DA4 was scrapped and rewritten TWICE 3. Team members retired or left 4. Multiplayer removed fiasco 5. Rumours there will still be some kind of MP Game is in development hell. |

Presumably, a good percentage of the team was already put to work on development long before that, especially since that trailer they made alone took up a good few man hours to fabricate.

EA mandate some form of MP in their games. Hopefully an Inquisition MP rip off to save cash. Not from a trusted source though. Was a youtuber. Might have been MrMattyPlays. I forget.
