No lo se rick, podría funcionar. I hope the next BF will continue the BFBC2 line... there's hope, right? Being a guy who mostly just watched videos about Bad Company 2, what exactly people like so much about that game? Not saying it was bad, it clearly wasn't, but I'm curious. It seemed like it was very much less vehicle spammy? there were no jets either, and people seem to praise a lot map design. My main problem with games like BF4 was the absurd amount of vehicles everywhere, and how focused it was around vehicle combat rather than infantry combat, BF3 was much better balanced in that regard.

Well, Bad company was innovator with the destructive environments, the squad system and the types of soldiers (Medic, Chewbaka Sniper, Support and Engineer). Plus, it was set in South America (represented bad... Very bad). *Triggered Chilean* BF4 is fine, it adds more support vehicles to the mix (rocket launchers, boats, bombers, etc...), Now BF3, that was the stuff, but, the vehicles were lame there (get incap if your life is under 50%... such BS)

I remember a map called "Valparaiso" always thought "definitely spanish name" . My small gripe with BF4 was how fucking unbalanced everything was due to the stupid amount of gadgets and explosive shit. AC 130 on the air, 6 tanks on land dicking around, 4 helicopters raining fucks you every 10 meters, run to a shore and you get wrecked by boats. In the big maps I always felt like in a super absurd action movie (in the bad sense) shit blowing up all the time, plus the grenade spam... it was like Metro on steroids when they added the 6 grenade types and specs for MOAR NADES. Fucking hell... Still, I loved BF4, I just want less "cringy" combat for the next game.

Well, in BF4, if you have a decent team, you can easily counter any weapon, tank or aircraft. Ugh, now Metro was a MeatGrinder, the first team that captures B wins. (that or having a lot of dudes spamming smoke grenades to advance)

Ugh, now Metro was a MeatGrinder, the first team that captures B wins. (that or having a lot of dudes spamming smoke grenades to advance) Yeah in BF4 with some sort of coordination with teammates the game changes massively. But I've always played solo, stopped bothering to add people on Origin long ago. BF never was a game I felt I needed to have buddies to play with in order to get the full experience, it does change as I've said, but I make do with what I have. Plus the fact that over our Region (south america) we never really had stable servers, most servers are in Brazil, so rarely you could bother setting something like microphone coordination or anything. One of the reasons why I've never bothered replacing my mic.

That trailer sure left a nice first impression. But I'm sure this game will do justice to all the amputee british woman who fought in the frontlines during ww2

That was the total turn off for me. I mean: That is not WW2 In WW2: Women fighting - yes Serviceable prosthetics - yes Trench clubs - yes Common? No. Within the bounds of reality? Yes. Not really. Only the russian army allowed woman to fight in the frontlines. In all other cases woman worked in the army in non cambatant roles. And I get the feeling the same case was for amputee people. I don't expect works of fiction to have high ammounts of historical accuracy, but this just completely kills all suspension of disbelief. What an stepdown from battlefield 1.

Yes, but not in huge numbers. Having the chick at the frontlines with prothetics was a joke. Common? No. Within the bounds of reality? Yes. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. I've wanted a realistic WW2 shooter for quite some time now, and I was looking forward to this. What I saw was an attempt to take history and turn it into something edgy. Its me, I know, but I personally want something accurate. I've been into this already on another forum, and I've had my fill. This game won't see an ounce of attention from me going forward.

They clearly feel a WWII combat simulation will not be as successful as a 'heroic fun' WWII action game. If that's not your preference, that's a shame. That doesn't make the game bad, just different and not to your taste.

I play BF4 once in a while, mostly for the multiplayer when I'm in the mood for a fairly simple "run/drive around and blow things up" experience. I'm not the best when it comes to quick reactions and aiming, so I usually end up playing more of a supplemental role focused on setting traps, painting laser targets, and launching rockets at vehicles. I never really could get the hang of the aerial combat - any time I tried to use a plane or a helicopter, I ended up dead pretty quickly.
The one annoying thing about it, aside from the usual "trash talk" in the chat window, was that a match could just get ridiculously lopsided. The servers were sometimes slow to balance when one team had a lot more active players, and there was one map (maybe "Gulf of Oman"?) where one team starts on land and the other starts a fair distance out in the water, and the team starting on land would almost always win.

Reasoned critique aside, I think a lot of those tags were people talking about the wailing and crying. I saw more discussions mocking the complaints than the complaints themselves.

And I take people were talking positively about the game? I think there was a mixture of opinion. The trailer was flashy but didn't exactly inform. The press presentation where some hard details were shared went down much better (no premier pass, 4 person co-op, etc)

Was able to watch the trailer today, since yesterday I had to spend most of my day installing windows on a different drive since my fucking main HDD is near death all of a sudden, it seems. Aweseome. But I digress...
So, the trailer. Absolute trash, this is not what I expect from DICE and BF in terms of trailers Game could still be awesome, I sure as hell hope so since I skipped on BF1 and I haven't played a MP game for real since ME3 and BF4. Trailer went too much in the "Hollywood" scale of the balance, everything exploding and the character looking left and right, it was a sicknees motion simulator. Wary of the robot arm girl, I hope they haven't fall in the "diversity" shit that seems to be trend of late.
I don't have a problem with the setting being WWII, I'd love to fly some good old WWII planes, add the Japanese to the fray and things could be awesome indeed. Then, I find myself asking "what's the catch?" no premium, they said no P2W, but loot boxes sure are creeping one way or the other, and if there's one thing I despise in gaming...

Here's a compilation of all the supposed new and "we got rid of that" features coming up with V: Feel like reading? Click this Reddit post all videos are based on this anyways, it's fairly extensive (had to google it BTW, none of these dimwits felt like leaving it on the video description). Sounds cool, then again, I can also write lots of good shit and then use it as toilet paper.

I don't get all the whining, Most of them cries "Muh war simulator is ruined by DICE/EA's SJWs", Dude... it's a fucking game with a WWII setup, if you want something close to a war simulator, play ARMA III or join the Army. It looks amazing and from what joe says:
This promises a buttload of new stuff.
About the microtransactions, i'm expecting the same battlepacks that we've seen before, but the "No paid DLC" gets me nervous about the quantity and quality of the future "expansions" of the game.

Onna serious note - I'm gonna pass. I'd need a hardware upgrade anyway and their handling of persistent crashing problems in BF1 was real shitty. Maybe some other time when it's mechs again and dropships.
