Still an irrelevant aspect of this entire outrage. Play Verdun or Invasion 1944 for that not Battlefield or Call of Duty at this point. 

Expecting a degree of authenticity is not sexist. It seems the second gamers criticize this stuff it gets labeled as misogyny. If they want to make the franchise more goofy and less realistic, then explain that is your approach to the fanbase. That said, I'm assuming SP will receive its own trailer and will strive for a more authentic vibe.

You don't seem to understand though. Battlefield has never been a historically accurate game series since 1942. Everything you said above regarding 'fixing' it has no bearing on the game or enjoyment of it via mechanics. It's the cosmetics you object to because they 'don't fit.'

Demanding it to be one now, and being angry about the overt use of what is their marketing of player choice of cosmetics (so they can sell the combined arms mode and let's face it, offer microtransactions) is kind of silly. Especially since the claims of accuracy are going to be upon the burden of the War Stories I suspect, although if Battlefield 1 is any indication that's super fictionized so I doubt it.

What I did notice is that a lot of the cosmetics were period accurate from the 1940s and late-war tech, along with taking elements of historical documentation and twisting it to how they see fit for the sake of multiplayer. That is expected and nd you know they did their research since this is the first time I've heard a company say they will showcase Norway and Rotterdam.

We can use historical anecdotes all day to 'fix' a problem that doesn't exist. It's why I said play Verdun or Invasion 1944, there its the harrowing slog you expect it to be, played straight right down to the guns and ammo. I'm not looking for historical accuracy in a series that always took liberties in it, especially a series that has gone bonkers before with stuff like Bad Company and Heroes.

Is stated there will be monetization with cosmetic items, but according to the devs it's only for those. Guns and gear can only be acquired with in game money.

It remains to be seen if it's going to be true.

The interesting bit is that, in the interview AJ did to one of the devs, he said you can actually buy all cosmetic looks using in game money also. The only difference is that when it comes to cosmetics, you can 100% buy them with IRL money. This means that after buying the game, you can essentially earn 100% of the content cosmetic or otherwise just by playing.
Assuming this is true, it's pretty awesome imo.

Yeah, in Mass Effect, this is a different game. And there're many other games locking cosmetics behind paywalls, that's why I find this to be cool.
