Doesn't really matter if it's warranted rage at this point towards EA - I never disputed that it wasn't wholly necessary either, which some of you apparently neglect to understand - what matters is this sort of sickening opportunism that is frankly, disgusting on all fronts in our culture is now being celebrated.

The context of the tweet was a response to a video on youtube speculating on whether or not CDPR would implement the microtransactions and lootboxes currently plaguing the industry in Cyberpunk 2077, CDPR released a tweet in response saying that they do not want to do that and did not even mention EA by name, yet somehow this is considered "unprofessional bullshit"? What exactly did you expect them to do? Stay quiet and let rumours fester?

Forgive me if I don't follow your strain of logic here but I am not sure how this can be considered more sickeningly opportunistic than what EA is actually doing in trying to fleece it's consumer base with predatory microtransactions, people should call this stuff out and say that it is not acceptable.

Isn't that what they did? Please point out where they mention EA in their tweet specifically?

I mean we can play this sort of ridiculous blame game all day. Fact of the matter is that tweet was a dick move, regardless of context. As is the THQ Noridc one you posted (and seemingly ignored) as is the digs by Activision.

No, that would be courageous of them. Ballsy even. It would be the type of behaviour that would get you described as an arsehole, like say Fish. I would call it bitchy precisely because they used context to snipe at EA (obvious context) without having the nads to get into a direct confrontation. Just my 2c.
