"Hopefully very well... our marketing folks will start talking about it when it's time." I take this to mean that he hopes the fans will think the writers have dealt with it well but we will get an insight when they start marketing the game. Exactly, how does Patrick know we’ll get insight? Would Patrick think that marketing would discuss the Inquisitor’s involvement if, say, they were included in one mission like Hawke? What about a cameo? I don’t think so. Patrick probably knows that it’ll be marketed because the Inquistior’s role is integral to DA4’s story. Advisor? Faction leader? Killed or kidnapped? We can only guess, but they’re certainly up to something in DA4.

He *is* capable of turning entire armies into statues, though, which is really all he needs. It must be possible to protect against this power or why didn't he just turn all the Evanuris into statues? Well obviously there has to be or will be a way to counter it (or just as likely, the writers could simply never have Solas use the power ever again, and never mention it), it can probably be countered or cancelled out by the same things that already counter or cancel magic in general, but if he has half a brain, why would he give anyone time to figure it out? Solas is more powerful than anything we've previously been shown in the games by like the power of 10. Frankly, I think the game should just open with him already ruling the world.

I think what a lot of people forget about Solas is that he's not as capable as he seems. Remember that Solas's story is an entire cavalcade of him screwing up, particularly when it comes to other people. He *is* capable of turning entire armies into statues, though, which is really all he needs. You can take all the time you want when everyone who opposed you is now a garden ornament. We only saw this at the tail end of Inquisition. For all we know, it's not permanent or easily reversible. Don't jump the gun.

All I really want is to have my Inquisitior be there in a plot-relevant capacity.
My Inquisitior was friends with Solas, and wants to redeem him.
I want the choice of whether the Inquisition is disbanded or reformed to be the Divine's honor guard to show up in a story-relevant manner.
There are other parts, but I'll settle for those three.
