Is MEA the worst failure EA experienced?

Shoot, I was really hoping they would eventually get back to Dead Space.  They still might, but who knows what it would be like now.

I probably would have gone apeshit over the ending, too, if I had been playing for the story, but I was mostly into the gameplay. If anything, I was already put off by how poorly Kai Leng was written. (See below)  The ending was hilariously bad, too. Not only was it a parody of the series (you get to make a choice that doesn't have any substantial consequences), but the big reveal behind the Reapers motivation was convoluted and nonsensical (also see below).

Alright, DAO was fine outside of some pacing issues (sometimes too much story/npc town chit chat). And yes, the BioWare magic was there too. Also must be the only one who loves it's graphics.

Failure? Maybe for gamers, probably not so much for EA. They have been making a lot of money from preorders, the overpriced superdeluxe editions and all the people who have been spending hundreds or sometimes even thousands of dollars for microtransactions. They are probably glad Amazon dropped the price and happy that they can finally add the game to EA Access because this means "hopefully more players will spend money ingame". The times when publishers made the majority of the money with full price sales are long gone... expensive DLC, microtransactions, lootcrate lottery and stuff like that is where the money's being made nowadays.

The price caught my attention only because I recently purchased Nier & Horizon for $40 each. I believe they came out before MEA.. and I`ve been hoping their prices drop further. Being good games as they are.. it didn`t happen though.. lol

Nah man, reinstall ME3 and play some MP. You won't have much trouble finding games (gold/plat) unless it's at very strange hours...

I did that already, played a couple games, but pugging isn't much fun anymore. I guess playing with people I know would be different! You might have ended up out of my friendlist because I had to rearrange it several times due to bugs in Origin (I know, I know... What a surprise). Haha I got busy playing Nier, Wolfenstein and now Gran Turismo..

When I finish it I will.. but I am in an unfortunate situation where I have to take care of some real life stuffs now.

One day I will play it and finish it...

I still have such a ridiculous backlog from spring of this year that MEA wrongfully diverted me from - persona 5 (80 hrs in, need to finish) nier, hzd, and I had just started blood and wine for witcher 3.

We'll I pre-ordered and got the deluxe edition and honestly I don't regret it, I'm still loving this game; just as much as the previous games.
This may not be the most popular opinion but it's mine. I don't think this game has failed, I don't think Bioware or Mass Effect are dead either.

True but It was financial success and gained a fanbase, that's success to me. 

There are multiple fan groups dedicated to the game and thousands of people who still play it on a regular basis (single player and multiplayer), it was considered the main contributor to EA's massive revenue boost this year and got 7's & 8's out of 10 in reviews, so overall if you look at it objectively i'd say in most people's terms it was a success.

Doesn't have to be game of year, get 10/10 across the board and have 3 years worth of DLC to not be a failure... but that's just my opinion
