Honest poll on whether Shepard should return in a future Mass Effect game

To be honest, I know this is not a popular opinion, but I want my FemRyder to come back way more (we need Andromeda's story to be finished!). I loved my FemShep, I really did, but her story is already done, even though I was a bit disappointed of the ending.

Did he, though? I'd love to know. Otherwise it's just headcanon. Jackfag as well, btw.

I don't see Jack settling down somewhere without her students and terribly loud music clubs readily available.

I vote "No" because unlike BW’s original executive personnel, EA’s EXECUTIVES (I blame them most) don't (apparently or currently) have the GAMER’S PASSION to make sure a truly meaningful ME game is made, let alone a plausible last game for Shepard. EA’s stock-holder’s demands to correct and continue the franchise doesn’t exist. I just don’t see any evidence that any future ME game could be produced successfully, so they shouldn't even try (for now).

Off-topic:

The Shepard storylines I would love to experience are Shepard's pre-ME1 back-stories for all three of Shepard's psychological profiles (military experiences): 1) As the Sole Survivor on Akuze; 2) The War Hero on Elysium during the Skyllian Blitz; and 3) The Ruthless soldier when Alliance forces laid siege to the Batarian slavers and criminals on Torfan, and end their evil scourge.

Yes, it is participating in a story where we already know the successful outcomes – if we are successful. What we gain (and can salivate over) as players are the experiences in HOW Shepard achieves these outcomes - from what he/she does. There’s some interesting and clever stories (and characters) to be discovered “in them thar hills!” Romance and Sexual orientation not an option (I hope), but developing good friendships and finding crucial intel should be a ‘must’ for survival and success. Be very careful whom you buddy-up to.

I think such a game can follow a 2nd Lt. Shepard’s advancement in rank, take orders and violate orders, demonstrate battle acumen, even lose a skirmish or two but live to fight the next one, fight on other planets (in the MW!), and fill in Shepard's advancement through the N-7 program. MP additions to these campaigns could allow players to add more combat scenarios, at least. Lot’s of hurdles to overcome. Wishful dreaming.


Edit: What could be possible (I hope, I truly hope) is a retrospective prequel novel explaining in great detail these three Shepard scenarios. Sort of a "Halo: Reach" kinda thing - times 3 in novel form (or three books!) Love it, love it, love it.  I don't see such a project happening at all. A SHEPARD PREQUEL NOVEL SHOULD BE DONE (well written, of course!).

To all the special snowflakes who wants to "create the characters fully" with no set names/titles: Bugger off, it's gonna result in shit like Skyrim or far worse. Quality writing/story comes with some railroading, get over it.
