My character is such a Grinch. Somehow she's managing not to romance anyone! fylimar Of course they're desperate. Shepard is the sexiest Specter to strut the Galaxy. Only I seem to be capable of scowling them away. Also, kindly allow me to dispense my sincere displeasure at a certain combat related occurrence. AGHHHHHHHHHH!!! GURR! OMGWHATTHEGALAXYBBQ! I died one million (or maybe about twenty times in a row) to some overgrown toaster that spits blue fireballs of doom. This battle has a looooong cut scene, which I cannot skip and waste SO much time re-watching it a hundred times over. Turned the difficulty down to easy and died anyway like eight more times. RUWR! ME 1 combat is diiiiicifult. ;-; I wish I have taken Kaidan and not Tali to this planet as he's stronger. btw CANNOT get off this planet either. I'm stuuuuck fighting it. You're probably way past this part, but it is possible to squeeze the Mako over that cranny so you don't have to abandon it. I do this successfully in all of my playthroughs (it takes awhile though) , so that boss fight with that toaster flashlight is fairly easy for me. ETA: To prevent from derailing this thread too much, this is my last post about tips/tricks about Mass Effect for awhile!

In order to keep the number of Venatori Cerberus agents hidden, the nighttime narrative will refer only to one agent that is currently acting. The other agent(s) is(are) in reserve.
Narrative to follow. I'll make an effort to keep them short this game so that I can write them faster.

Just reread the rules, I didn’t realize there’s potential for there to be more than two agents, unlike Skyhold. We’ve got our work cut out for us ya’ll.

Dragon You're making me paranoid by keeping that number a secret. I keep expecting to be jumped by four vanatori cerberuses any moment. Pela Really? I'd love to have a good blast at that nasty toaster with my Mako. Over which cranny on which side can the Mako be squeezed for the future reference? I don't think I want to watch that cut scene repeatedly in the future either. Hurray! I came back on a different day and killed that glorified toaster. It seems you need to fall left into cover as soon as the combat begins and then retreat again backwards to the set of crates away from the structure so those jumpy pests can't laser you either. This fight should be seriously saved for the middle or end of the game. It's too hard! I must have died thirty times. After I logged off the computer ninja switched me back into normal mode. At least I have a small consolation that I've done it without turning it down to lowest difficulty. tbh I haven't noticed much of a difference between easy and normal, so much for saving your bacon with easy if the fight turns too difficult. Space Someone's eager to have a go at those Cerberus agents.

A Cerberus agent crouched beside a window, beyond which the target dozed with their omnitool powered down on a side table. The agent smirked and raised a suppressed pistol. Do the deed. Get out.
Slow is smooth and smooth is fast.
Execute.
But as the agent pulled the trigger, the pistol exploded in blue sparks, overloaded. The agent cried out and the pistol flew as the agent was slammed into the ground.
------------------------------------------------
Shepard was pulled out of a dream (that totally didn't feature a creepy dead child, for once!) by the incessant trilling of his comm.
"What?!" he answered politely, pulling the blankets back up to his chin. Unless it was Anderson calling, Shepard refused to leave his cocoon. It was his week off, dammit.
"Shepard. I just intercepted an attack on one of your people."
Shepard threw off the blankets.
"Who? What happened?"
The caller relayed the events as Shepard tossed on his armor. "...I attempted to detain the agent," said the caller, "but he, or she, was rescued too quickly. I'm sorry, Shepard. That's all I know."
"Thanks. I'll call my team together. You should meet us here. I'll send the address to your omnitool."
The caller agreed and signed off. Shepard sighed and began typing out an encrypted message to his team. It would be Cerberus that interrupted his leave. Again.

Oh cool, I got to see the day/night switch before dozing off.
Someone correct me if they've read the night story differently. From what I understand, we have one of the new roles in play and they have used their ability to give someone a chance to defend themselves, which was applied with success.
It doesn't look to me like the resurrection tactic was used. Or did Mira use her role? It seems unlikely that someone would be able to guess a role correctly n1 to save another if it was Kat.

I noticed a huge difference between easy and normal, but I've already played through once, which let me get used to the combat and inventory system. That might be the difference. Are you equipping upgraded armor?

It doesn't look to me like the resurrection tactic was used. Not saying whether you are right or wrong, but the Cerberus agents wanted to contribute some to the narrative, and they went with "pistol" rather than "indoctrinator." (I think the agents and I just forgot, to be honest. Too used to Skyhold.) To avoid any more confusion, I will go back to indoctrinating devices of some sort in the next night round. In the previous round, the "resurrection" was more of a prevention rather than a true resurrection anyway. I left it vague on purpose, though There are some other clues as to what happened. For a hint, it's important to know that "overload" is activated via an omnitool.

My characters aren't that leveled yet and I can't say I've collected much good armour or weapons, since I've gotten off the station, landed a couple of random planets and then ran into this evil toaster that's worse than Gandalf on the bridge. You shall not pass!

So, a roleplayer villain hmm?
//totally doesn't stare at Space and Smiles, except stares
Dragon Wait, which overload, shield or weapons or some other? My infiltrator uses pistols, not omnitools, but she has two abilities I dragged to the hotbar. One of them busts shield and then other overheats weapons briefly.
Does Mira use omnitool then?

Does the character have one weapon equipped, but they're really using two weapons at the same time in combat? Because my Shepard has pistols, but I use that overheat ability. I can't say I have figured out how omnitool and that other one work. I've been using only the straight forward shooting devices, four of them, but except for the pistols I can't hit a mountain with the accuracy on all the other ones.

I don't know what an apple watch is (it sounds like James Bond type of watch), but I guess you use it for special abilities/skills rather than to shoot bullets with it.

Pela Really? I'd love to have a good blast at that nasty toaster with my Mako. Over which cranny on which side can the Mako be squeezed for the future reference? I don't think I want to watch that cut scene repeatedly in the future either. I'm not the best at describing the layout of things, especially in Therum, so here's a screenshot! I have a bug with some of the textures in Therum, so half of the ground is black. imgur.com/a/PHhX0Also, nobody died? This is a good start so far. Now to figure out who could possibly be an agent...

She means Liara, I'm pretty sure. Also, what the heck is that window?? Is that in the game and I missed it? Or is it photoshopped? Nope. I was playing XCom 2. There're many mods for XCom from various games. I chose to mod the chars / soldiers with ME skins. I can have anybody I want from the various races; turian, salarian, asari, geth. I can also choose any of the ME char skins; femShep, Shepard, Wrex, Garrus, Liara, Miranda, Legion, Mordin, Grunt, Jack, Aria, Samara, Nihlus, Saren, Tesla Vasir, Nyreen and Marauder. I'm not sure if there's a Kaidan, maybe not. I think there is Ashley. They all speak in their respective voices, btw, and wear their respective armor skins. That screen is the final mission report on how the soldiers performed. As you can see, I put Garrus in the team and incidentally, he turned out to be a sniper. Unfortunately, in the recent mission, he was wounded and I was told his confidence is shaken. So if I don't bring him through another mission unscathed, he's going to remain that way.

Wow, I want xcom2 now. That was an interesting first night. Those Cerberus mooks had one coming. Adoniel, there is one spot just before you meet that evil giant toaster that you had to get out of the mako and walk. Pela, I think, I read there is a bug that causes black areas when using an asus graphics card, I think.
