i played horizon and while i liked it the actual gameplay and setting was a run on the mil. GtaV i wont even bother, full of broing tasks and all missions play the same Uncharted 4 i disliked on how obvious the combat zones were. The place was full of ammo. full imerssion breaking. like in andromeda! ALso the combat in U4 was the same since U2. Zelda , i do not own a switch but from what ive seen it really steps up! Wicther 3 of course its a great game but ok i happen to enjoy inquisition more. Playing Skyrim VR atm i realised how much skyrim shaped the open world landscape. Skyrim use of map puts to shame almost every game. Lmao this guy thinks all the other mentioned games are "ok" while Andromeda is just so amazing. Typical Biodrone mentality. Where's the DLC and announced sequel for Andromeda again? this is your false understanding, not my opinion at all. Andromeda has problems for sure, the level design is not good, the maps were kinda lame, kadara was terrbilbe imo. Also the fauna and flaura was poor , all the planets had the same dinosaurs. No combat pause, 3 ablities with BAD key binds like other Mp focused games (L1+R1) is the worst key bind ever and whoever though this needs a punch. Still i liked andromeda and yeah it is objectively a better game than Pubg. it runs better, it looks better, it plays better, it sounds better. Also there is ton of hypocrisy , flipflopping and double standards in these forums regarding andromeda.

I guess i'm the wrong person to comment on this...but i guess it's all about perspective and personal opinion...Andromeda's MP is superior to PUGB in terms of visuals and overall polish, but these games are doing different things in terms of MP....i looked at vids of both games and both are not my cup of tea....the only MP i feel is superior to both of these is ME3 MP... (see?...wrong person to comment on this issue).... As far as the argument of what AAA games are doing something different?...Well it depends on the genre and what can be done without the series "jumping the shark"....but for the most part, if the game is just compelling, interesting and is just a blast to play...the formula of "if it isn't broke..don't fix it" applies. Games like Uncharted and Horizon which employ familiar or established game mechanics sell well because again they are very fun and compelling to play and people still find the characters interesting (in terms of uncharted) even tho the gameplay may have become a bit stale....but you can't have Drake all of sudden having adventures in outer space or have him start having magical powers because that is not what that game is and it shouldn't be...at some point every franchise will run it's course...tho there are exceptions like a few of Blizzard games which constantly receive updates and support.....because they are still popular and people still play them in respectable numbers. One genre that is just difficult to create in terms of advancement is the sports genre....i think dev's have taken the football and basketball genre to it's limits and all they can really do at this point is try to improve the animations aspects of it....it's to the point to where they are adding "story mode" to these games to try and keep them fresh...other than that it's just roster updates and slightly improved visuals until the next console generation....really no fault of the dev's at this point...(tho i do wish that the NFL license with EA expires or becomes terminated so that i can see a NFL 2K 2018 football game).....i still only play NFL 2k5..... ...madden for me is trash.....

Yah, that's one thing I'll never get. The people that are more than willing to fork over money year after year for a new Madden game. But I s'pose that I'm weird to them because I'm willing to fok out money every year for a SciFi opera. So, I guess it comes out in the wash.

I admit this game isn't that great but one thing I don't get is how that trash called PUGB gets high ratings. It runs like a slideshow, it only has two maps and its the same crap every game. At least andromeda had some sort of polish to it. We owe bioware and ea an apology. No. No we don't. Andromeda was a bad rushed broken mess of a game on release. It is still one of the most tedious boring games I've had the misfortune to ever play.

Horizon - setting/visual. Not a fan myself, but looked fresh. Witcher - openly men-oriented franchise, something West gamedev wasn't doing for a while. GTA 5 - it's multiplayer mode Uncharted 4 - quality of execution. Literally face of PS. Zelda BotW - another quality of execution example. Impressive scrupulousness in all aspects. They both have shooting and loot. Sure thing. Spot on comparison. i played horizon and while i liked it the actual gameplay and setting was a run on the mil. HZD Gameplay and setting are what make it standout. There aren't many other games where you run around as a tribal fighting giant robot animals with a bow and spear. THe design and characters look great for a open world game. The main story about the tribes is kinda meh but I really loved the backstory of what lead to the world being destoryed and rebuilt. GTA is the tell of two games in one. THe single player is great and I loved every second of it but the online, while it can be fun with friends it's boring otherwise and way too much granding unless you willing to pay money. Uncharted 4 is very good as well. I wouldn't consider it immersion breaking when you have to fight mercs everywhere or you can sneak kill or pass them. Going in guns blazing is actually not the best way to play u4 unlike the other ones. Don't really care for Zelda or Nintendo but it looks like a Skyrim Clone but Zelda theme Witcher is great in as well but not the game everyone praises it to be. It has better RPG elements than most RPGs this past couple of Generations but it's combat is easy even on Deathmarch. MEA is a decent game. It's not as bad as most people make it out to be but it's not a great game either. The combat is great but it's not as good at anything else. Anything else falls under bad or just meh. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the hell of it and beat the game 3 times but it was a step back.

What does MEA offer in the RPG Story Driven world? Nothing, hence everyone forgetting about it. What does PUGB offers for the online world? The most played game, hence the absurd sales. MEA is just the ugly duck from 2017.

MEA is just the ugly duck from 2017. Are you sure its the most played game? I will give you the most played game on Steam, but there are plenty of other system sellers out there that probably are played more then a FPS game that cannot keep a stable framerate. Besides I haven't forgotten about Andromeda and neither have you so not everyone has forgot about it.

Then when reviewing and talking about PUBG they did the opposite for the game while acknowledging there were problems with the game minimized those issues.

.....3 ablities with BAD key binds like other Mp focused games (L1+R1) is the worst key bind ever and whoever though this needs a punch. You can't just rebind? On PC sure but on console it's not as easy as that but then that's one of the main rasons why I game on PC rather than console because my disability does require me to rebind a lot of controls to my liking to be able to play most games.

PUBG has a lot of reports of massive frame drops and poor netcode and for an online shooter knowing things like that are important and indicates flaws. If you are just going to gloss over something like that because people are having fun with it while the facial animation problems with Andromeda were the end of the world because of how important they are just seems to be pandering to certain demographics for click revenue.

Because PUBG appeals to the mass hordes of people who want nothing from their games other than to mash the trigger for an hour or so trying to kill other players. It's the same reason why games like CoD and Battlefield are popular.
I don't think Andromeda is a bad game, but it's not in the same league as ME1-3. And the fact that it got crapped on so hardcore that they don't even wanna do a sequel in the near future (or ever) really makes me sad. Partly because there aren't enough space games in the AAA market and mass effect is my favorite series and also partly because Andromeda had a great premise, it was just rushed and didn't have as much care in it.

PUBG is a new series from a new developer right? That might have something to do with it, also Pewdiepie. But to be fair, a lot of viewers have made some of the problems with PUBG well known.

Same reason why Bethesda( studios) receive a free pass for, well (nearly) everything. Games don't exist in vacuum, PUBG offered a unique experience to a lot of people, despite it being of meh/low quality. The graphics in PUBG do suck, but I found the game enjoyable playing with some friends on xbox who wanted to try it out. And a couple of them played ME:A and thought it was decent. The flaws in ME:A matter more and in some cases matter way more than they should for a variety of reasons.

as far as bioware and andromeda go... i think the issues revolved around to fact that it felt like BW didn't even try to do a good job with andromeda. now, if they waited till after anthem's launch or battlefront 2's to start production, or put either title on hold so they had one of their top teams free to give andromeda a proper go, instead of an understaffed support studio that never worked an a full game before, andromeda might be very different... does anyone think otherwise?

Honesty is important, if places are just going to gloss over the problems in one game and in another point every issue out and talk about how it killed another game to me its a problem regardless if it is because people are having fun. If you think that facial animations were the only issue with Andromeda, you've got another thought coming. I know there was more, but that was a focus for plenty of outlets and I am not living in a bubble I will freely admit there were problems with Andromeda. I also don't care that an average person has an opinion that the technical problems in Andromeda were worse for them then a game like PUBG. When you read reviews were people want money by either views, clicks, or advertisements is when I would want them to hold technical issues to the same level. I watched Jim Sterling's video a few weeks ago "Fuck Skyrim" and he pointed out that reviewers were putting a positive spin on the technical problems with the Wii release of Skyrim and those technical problems have been in the game since Bethesda stopped patching the game. A technical problem is a technical problem, you cannot call it "quaint" and then just let it go.

What does MEA offer in the RPG Story Driven world? Nothing, hence everyone forgetting about it. What does PUGB offers for the online world? The most played game, hence the absurd sales. MEA is just the ugly duck from 2017. Are you sure its the most played game? I will give you the most played game on Steam, but there are plenty of other system sellers out there that probably are played more then a FPS game that cannot keep a stable framerate. Besides I haven't forgotten about Andromeda and neither have you so not everyone has forgot about it. It is the most played game. The Xbox version alone is going soon to outsell every Playstation exclusive, it's also becoming the most played game there. Everyone wants to play PUGB, even in a messy state like the preview one. No one cares about Andromeda anymore, are you surprised the fanbase does? Holy fuck! No shit. Don't pull a Sherlock on me. No, seriously, Andromeda is forgotten, the sales reflected that and so does the cancellation of the series. It was meant to dominate 2017 and run for GOTY, but ended up being forgotten in oblivion. PUGB is a phenomenon, shame that RPG (especially BioWare) players are becoming so salty by it. You can blame BioWare, though.
