If I ranted about one of our customers on twitter I could pack my bag and no return. Wouldn't matter if the customer knows about the rant. It'd simply be enough to smear the picture of my company with controversial behaviour.
Keep private private and public stays public. That's a no-brainer and I have no idea why people are too retarded to understand this.

This woman created a giant S@$% Storm over absolutely nothing, because someone, who was a huge fan of hers, decided to -slightly- disagree, on a public platform. Was Jessica Price behaving like an ass? Yes, I think so. Did she deserve to be fired? No, I disagree with that. I'm not comfortable with words (as opposed to actions) being enough to kill your career. But, this is too idealistic. This is how the free market works, and she flat out damaged the brand. She wasn't fired for words, she was fired for embarrassing the company. That is a massive distinction.

Indeed, I see no one going to bat for Rosanne, claiming she didn't deserve to be fired, except for a particular off-shoot of Americans. her entire Life's Work was ruined, flushed away because of one tweet, and no one cares. James Gunn was fired from Guardians of the Galaxy over jokes the man made on twitter YEARS ago ffs, except everyone went to bat for him, and in the end he is still fired. This is simply how the world is, words ruins careers. it does not matter if that's fair or not. I don't think it is fair in some cases, but it is what it is.

And Jessica Price perpetuates her sense of victimhood with her recent twitter activities. I especially like her status update: "Fired from ArenaNet & Paizo for refusal to act like I'm men's property."
To be quite frank I'm surprised gaming companies continue to hire such angry, toxic individuals for important positions. Not only does it affect company culture, but there's always a fair chance it will come back to bite them in the arse later on *shrugs*

It's been happening for ages. I don't see how anyone can be oblivious to this. You seriously question why this industry is full of toxic behavior? Seriously? It seems obvious to me, where the actual toxicity comes from, and the overboard toxic overreactions from some gamers, is the result of all of this crap, combined with the flood of micro transactions.
