There's no reason Sovereign would know he was an indoctrinated stooge. And I think Control's merely a wash -- if the available options are replacing one indoctrinated personality with another, the Reapers are left exactly where they were. No other option because there isn't an independent personality to restore. You can find murdering them better on the merits, sure; that aspect's a rerun of Legion's LM, isn't it? Funny enough, Legion and the non-indoctrinated geth believed destroying the indoctrinated geth was the way to go. Take that for what it's worth. Also, logic says that if synthesis and control were good options, the reapers wouldn't indoctrinate people to make them believe so. Prothean VIs were telling our Shep (destroy was the plan from the beginning) he/she is not indoctrinated since ME1 while our enemies were - Saren (synthesis), TIM (control), Kei Lang (serving TIM so control too).

I don't really know the company behind TW, but for what I've seen, Bioware likes to step away when things don't go their way. ME3 to Andromeda is the example I'd use. Not saying they should retcon it, just let it "cool down" so to speak. They already did that with ME3 in fact, when they released MEA. They didn't want to deal with ME3 endings, so they essentially took the "let's get the fuck away from that" approach, and changed settings to a different galaxy (which btw is not a bad thing IMO, so long as it's done right). As things are now, I personally can't see a reason why they would do a direct sequel to Andromeda. I hope you’re wrong. At the end of the day, I honestly don't care where the next game is gonna be set at, so long as it's a good game. I know people tend to get attached to characters and stuff like that, that's why many people wanted a "ME4" direct sequel of the third. The idea of ME on the trilogy was to build up the experience with the subsequent games, it worked out rather nicely if we nitpick ME3. I personally am not attached to anything on Andromeda, so it would be easier for me to transition, obviously that's not the case for everyone. But as I've said, so long as it's a good game, well presented (nothing related to parallel universe space magic stuff) I don't really care where it is. Just using my own logic and past experience with BW as a company, I don't see high chances for a direct sequel to MEA. I do however hope for a good and rich game, whenever they decide to release the next installment in the series.

They were divided on the issue, with 573 voting rewrite and 571 voting destruction (so more believed rewriting was the way to go). The lack of clear consensus is why they leave it up to Shepard since Shepard has perspective they lack.

But then other options were available which made them question their goal, even to the point of it being technically the minority opinion.

Yeah -- if you're in a "kill or be killed" situation, "kill" is always gonna look pretty good.

Of course where things get murky is how people want to define a good game. Personally, if I have a strong, focused narrative with rich characters and an antagonist with some substance and rationale behind their motivations along with some fun combat I'll be happy. Bring back something like the P/R options of MET and thrown in a snarky-Hawke third option and it'll be golden.

Yeah its a nice, hopeful thing... i wish i could believe it. If you wanna know what i really think: Its a pipe dream... I think EA will close Bioware down inside couple of years, after they fail with Anthem. Sadly this is my thoughts as well. I just don't see Anthem doing well. Maybe it's just me and this is certainly only my opinion, but when I see the name Bioware I don't Invision a action mmoesque, RNG looter, dungeon hack n slash game. Bioware makes amazing RPGs with grand plots and deep characters.....not a Destiny wannabe. I just don't see it succeeding.

The thing is, if they go more borderlands than destiny it would fit the bioware mold pretty well. What killed destiny for me was the repetitive grind of the same quest and quest locations. Borderlands, you can play through always going to new locations, dungeons etc until you it the end. Sure if you picked quests in a terrible order you'd regrind the same area a lot, but I rarely did. Yeah you replay it and grind to max level but if they give story choices that's something many bioware players would be doing anyways.

I'll never forgive them for shutting down visceral games after making them create a second battlefield in an attempt to do with battlefield what Activision does with CoD.

That was actually good imo. The SP anyway. But the biggest casualty there is the Dead Space series and the Star Wars game.

But the biggest casualty there is the Dead Space series and the Star Wars game. yeah they wanted to do the whole rotating yearly releases of Battlefield thing, and Hardline didn't sell as well as EA hoped. Because of that they shut down Visceral, essentially killing Dead Space and Icing that open world star wars game they were working on. Issue is Battlefield 4 was still releasing expansions with new maps and weapons when Hardline came out and it just split the base to much.

The hope front, lmao. Ain't even a front even there's not enough people in it. No one really cares. We're growing. One person at a time. You might do well to remember this line from another video game: "The final gift and more important gift that Razial gave me more than the sword that now holds his soul, he gave me a glimpse of that most dangerous and terrible of all emotions: HOPE."-Kain from the ending to Legacy of Kain: Defiance.
BTW Andrew Lucas I've blocked you because you can't accept your opinions are NOT facts and you act like a bully and a troll. So don't bother quoting me or PMing me, tagging me, because this is the last time I will speak to hateful troll like you.

That's kind'a the thing though.
No one really sets out to be Bob Dylan. I mean, you can. And it can be good. If you take a look at Springsteen's Born To Run album, he's said in many interviews that was his Dylan-esque album. Although it sounds nothing like Dylan.
However, most people can't, and if they try it'll be shit. Make what you're good at making. IMO, the OT of ME stood up there with giants of the scifi genre like Star Wars. That, in and of itself, is like Dylan. I think that they've created their best work, and now that they have their eyes set on a higher meta-structure, it'll all come crashing down.
Just my two cents.
