Just saying it's nothing wrong with having options. The options in this case being “If you want a romance with sex, choose another of the LIs available.” Cole could be assexual. So a spirit could be the answer.

Watching my wife play RDO it occured to me: With DA4s impending live service...ness...I've noticed that some live service or live service ish games either have all of their cosmetics/ armor entirely statless (Ghost Recon Breakpoint,RDO), where they do not effect game play they are just there to make your character look how you want to...or making some cosmetics statless and make others not.
While I did like messing with my stats via the DAI crafting system and while messing with stats and percentages to get the build you want is a quitessential part of an RPG...I do think BioWare should at least consider the possibility and look into the possibility of adopting a similar system in DA 4. Yes, you may lose the ability to min max but it would certainly be at least one solution to the 'great stats but ugly armor' plague which infects RPGs...though not the only one.
And while always online games have their place I certainly hope that DA 4 is off line. Heck again speaking about RDO I have often wondered if Bio should do a complete single player experience with DA 4 and then release an online mode like RDO or GTAO in order to do all the live service stuff there.

What I like best is when you can apply the look of one armor onto another. That way you can still have stats but get the look you want.
I don't mind doing a little crafting, but in general I prefer getting armor from quest rewards. I don't like spending my time looking for crafting components.

I always wanted to be able to keep some of the early armor models I liked and be able to upgrade those, rather than see their stats limited to a certain 'period' of your playthrough. Even with tier 4 materials, the bases stats of those are too low to keep using them.
And let me reiterate my greatest wish: to be able to customize the look of my companions (like we could with Hawke in DAI).

I mean, they could just add vanity slots, couldn't they? I honestly thought DAI already had that feature, but maybe I'm misremembering. The facebook game (DA Legends) definitely had it. Tons of games of every genre already do it, or provide a similar feature that lets you override the appearance of armour and weapons while keeping your current stats.

I know it's out there but really this option seems a little...unimmersive to me tbh.

A cool gameplay trailer for Black Myth: Wu Kong dropped today. While it is a vertical slice, it's worth a watch. I do like the dual-bladed fire staff in this. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing something similar in DA4.

I'd love the double bladed staff! Remind me of FFIX's Zidane I'd like more weapons type in general. Like, is cool that warriors can have either sword and shield or two handheld weapons, and rogues double blades or bow, but I'd like something... Less classic:like adding a spear-naginata for Warriors, a kusarigama (sort of like a sikle attached to a chain, if I remember correctly) for rogues, a magic book (sort of like the ones venatori mages have in game) and a double bladed sword for mages. Or lyrium infused gauntlets for dwarfes (or mages) for some hand to hand type of combat.

I've been musing.
Of all the good things live service could bring to Dragon Age what I do NOT want to see under any circumstances is live events. Now live events are things that are typically done, I think to get people to tune into a game during a set period of time. Usually a story mission with special rewards that you can get for playing them during their time. This presents two problems, with my experience with them. A. While yes it does provide a great encouragement to get people to play your game during said event but it also provides some uneeded stress to where you HAVE to jump in B. In my experience with them to it tends to throw off the story and make events not flow right. Things that I have not actually played with my current character keep on getting mentioned because the events has already passed.
On a more positive note during the Avengers Beta Black Widow and Iron Man can essentially change weapons with just a press of the d pad. This harkens back to me wanting to do something similar for DA 4 a nice simple way of switching to get to different abilities, and while their abilities don't change maybe Bioware can adapt that system...it seems doable.

I would like to see the programmable tactics for companions like there was in DA2.
I hate pausing during combat to issue orders to companions as I find it hampers the flow.
Please give us companion tactics beforehand!

Aah... the Monkey King.
Sometimes, Chinese names translated into English are kinda funny. But, in this case, it's spot on.

I'm hoping for one of these ending choices for the protag: sacrifice or seclusion/exile. If we're going to have a new protag for each game then I'd like the current one to be able to leave the stage forever, never to be heard from again.
Having Inky decide who to sacrifice to the giant fear demon felt a bit weird. I'd imagine most Hawkes wouldn't wait around for someone to make that choice for them.

Especially with the Advanced Tactics mod installed. What I especially like about that mod is that it allows me to: -- Program rogues to automatically disarm any trap they perceive. -- Allow the controlled character to also run the tactics, so combat is fully automated. -- Rogues can also be programmed to automatically unlock any locked chest or door.

RE the recent discussions about stats vs appearance wrt armors - the age-old dilemma - do I want these stats or this appearance is a trade-off a lot of players are less willing to want to deal with. Something I've always wanted to see, that I think would help resolve it: stat-bearing UnderArmours TM. They would appear as bodysuits worn under the armor, replacing the default underwear. On mages and rogues, they could look like little more than spandex, though I'd like to see some padding on a warrior's UnderArmour TM. The actual armour pieces then become outerwear, and the only stat I would put on them is perhaps armor value (though that could also be included on the unders) - and those would evolve with level. Example: for a warrior, choosing massive armor outerwear would provide a somewhat higher armor value than a medium or heavy piece, but that would be the only difference besides appearance. All of the other stats would be on the UnderArmoursTM.
I think it would be a workable system that wouldn't interfere with immersion as much as other systems I've seen.

If they do any such thing, I'd hope it would be limited to a specific, separate MP component of the game.

Another request I'd like to make is to implement some sort of marker or way to find companions who have fallen in battle. Some of the battle areas are quite large and the palettes of some armours aren't differentiated from the terrains enough to make them obvious.
I can think of a few ways to do this: -- Put their location on a map. -- Highlight them somehow, like outline them in red. -- Allow me to switch to control of them. Even if I can't actually command them to do anything while they're down, at least I'd be able to find out where they are...
Biowar Pls.
