I have issue with bare male chests as well. I find this curious. Do you actually see nudity as sexually charged in all cases? AS a health professional, nudity is just a state that people are sometimes in. I don't even hardly like clothes myself, and run around my house underwear only pretty often. And even then, if I were small chested, I probably wouldn't even bother with the bra part. I suppose I find your reaction odd, because I thought to be asexual meant you didn't see things sexually. But you're seeing sex in non sexual things like a bare chest. Depends on the individual really. Some people on the Ace Spectrum are unaffected by seeing nudity, while others become uncomfortable even when not used in a sexual way. How exactly did Jaal's romance arc ruin his entire character for you? Really, probably a couple main things. 1. The lie about his romance having a non-sexual route, despite in reality even if you choose it it acts like you did anyway with the emails and dialogue. Which leads to 2. Him announcing loudly into a crowded room that you are a screamer and moaner in bed. That was really uncool and made me feel uncomfortable even while playing the game, let alone how my character would feel being actually there. Like dazk says, that experience you can't really forget when playing other playthroughs so that affects my perception of him overall.

I don't even romance Jaal but I thought his sex scene was pretty great; would've liked to have something similar for Vetra rather than flirt + fade to black. Cora and Peebee's scenes were great (for men, anyway. Peebee's sex scene with female Ryder was obviously tacked on from the male version...). I loved Sera's scene because she and Inky were both naked and it was fairly obvious what sex act was taking place. I'm all for more explicit scenes. And also being able to "nope" out of sex for some romances. Same, I honestly don't see a problem with Jaal's sex scene either. I thought that whole romance scene was incredibly well done actually, full of emotions and passion. It faded to black right before it got too explicit. Cora's sex scene was amazing in the sense that animations were top notch and all the foreplay was rather cute and believable. That last scene where you see them doing it on the desk may be too much for some people but I don't see how that counts as "porn" really, since you see it for what, 3 seconds before it fades to black? I do agree that building a relationship and flirting and whatnot is more important to me than seeing the characters having sex, but in the end I feel like that is also important since it's the culmination of all the flirting and bonding. I also like that all characters have their own sex scenes that fit them and their personalities, like for example Sera's. As much as I don't like Sera, her sex scene was pretty good and funny. Lol Speaking of flirting, I like how recent games have offered various ways to do that with some romances. You can either be super flirty, or you use a "flirt" that isn't even a flirt(finally). And yeah, while I may not like all of them I do like how Bioware makes all the romance scenes fit the character. Since you talk about Cora for example, her non-sex route where they stargaze and make constellations was really well-done. Same with others like cuddling on the couch in front of the fireplace with Josephine, kissing in the lab with Suvi, etc.

If the homebase has it where the main character can jump from great heights without hurting themselves, I like that changed to a game over screen. If not, at least let the main character yell GERONIMOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

I could with predictable results. I can't help but think of this song when I remember my Dalish elf running all over the city, jumping and climbing everywhere she could. I keep picturing Cassandra playing the role of John Rolfe and trying to get her to come down. Varric's just sitting back and enjoying the show while Solas continues to casually browse some wares.

Civilian: Did... did the Inquisitor just fall out of the sky and act like nothing happened? Varric: You must be new here. Falling out of weird places and surviving is kinda their thing.

I'd like to see more content for unrequited romance, even if it's just a line here or there that shows that the PC still has feelings for someone without sounding creepy. I can always use headcanon (and I do) but it's nice when the game recognizes it like with Aveline or Iovara in Pillars of Eternity.

How exactly did Jaal's romance arc ruin his entire character for you? I posted my reasons for not liking his romance in the Jaal thread, here:
bsn.boards.net/post/732538/thread
As for subsequent PTs, I just can hardly stand to listen to him speak and his teeth creep me out. He's supposed to be young (late 20x) but his voice and face wrinkles make him seem old. I'm sure it isn't a rational reaction, but it's there nonetheless. I'm more disappointed than anything because after playing my first game, I was really looking forward to his romance in my second PT. And then it just kept piling on the disgust and discomfort factors and ruined him for me.

In a similar vein, I liked how in NWN2 you could romance someone, and then in the expansion you could romance someone else.... or tell them your heart was with the LI from the first game. I ended up having two PCs of each gender, two who moved on with the MotB LIs and two who stuck with their LIs from the original campaign. I would've killed for something like that with Sigrun. :sob:

I had been going through the series again, which is what made me come to these (new) forums in the first place. DA:O is still a marvelous game, and DA2, despite its flaws, is a delightful game to play.
My wish for DA4 is that it is NOTHING AT ALL like DA:I. I can't believe it. I had to stop playing. I beat it twice when it came out. I remember not liking the game as much as the previous entries, I don't remember absolutely detesting the game.

Get rid of the damned jump button.
Because as soon as a developer puts a jump button in a game, they suddenly think they know how to do fun platforming sections, and there are literally 2 major developers in the world that can ACTUALLY do platforming. Bioware is not one of them.

Bioware is not one of them. It could have it's uses if implemented well, but having jump on the omni-button was a pain & so was the location of some of the shards, thinking back to the one in the dragons lair in the Hinterlands, really!? Just my opinion.

It could have it's uses if implemented well, but having jump on the omni-button ... This. This is what I mean. I dont even want them to go there. The option shouldn't even exist, because I have never seen a developer not abuse it when given the option. Its like Bloodmagic in Kirkwall.

Random thought of how I'd like the story to go: Not at all.
Well, that's not quite right. I actually enjoyed a lot of the "open" exploration in DA3, and just kind of randomly hanging out in Kirkwall was actually fun in DA2, too. In DA3, a big part of the problem is that even when open-world missions did integrate into the story (Emprise is an especially good example, though all of them had this to some degree), they didn't integrate into the plot. Yes, the Red Templars are bad, but why am I helping Fairbanks fight them when I'm supposed to be investigating the Grey Wardens, or whatever? That's a problem.
To solve this, it'd be interesting if the DA4 story, the various "side" missions were the plot. Just like how in DA2, the first act is going around doing random things until you can afford to do the expedition. There's a lot of plot threads scattered about, but you're not on a deadline or side-tracking yourself from a more pressing mission, you're experiencing the world as it's laid out and then, in response to Hawke's actions, the threads come together.
An entire game in the style of DA2 Act I would be quite satisfying.

Bioware, mounts like horses don't leave contrails and they're not born to 05 MPH on all speed settings. Look up movement of horses; walking, cantering and galloping in Kingdom Come Deliverance. And please stop the Japanese anime style of gluing swords to the back. I can't stand watching someone walking around with a rapier glued to his back.

An entire game in the style of DA2 Act I would be quite satisfying. Don't forget that the Divine and her Hands wanted to recreate the inquisition even before that to settle the population that was in the middle of a war. The main story of DAI isn't just to get rid of Corypheus, but to grow the Inquisition itself and solve all the random problems that Solas/Corypheus created. And the mission is not that pressing, as the whole game have a duration of years. Having said that, I'm in favor of your approach since it seems that we won't play as leader of a organization in the near future. I'd like to have side quests that changes something in main missions, even if they're small things, like in MEA.

I would like more flexibility with the CC, more dialogue choices like in DAO, and it would be nice to have more meaningful side quests that could effect bigger events later in the game like in TW3. I love when little choices have a shocking impact I did not expect! It makes it so much more fun!
