Yay team Weirdos!!!!! Did you mean in the statement above you were bored by combat in DAI? I must admit I didn't even really think about combat too much in DAI except for my first PT where I was hey why did they change from DA2 and then it was just sort of whatever. The game was good enough to distract from the combat but when I played Descent recently to finish an incomplete run for one of my characters I really felt like combat was so slow and against higher level enemies it seemed never ending. It was the main reason I didn't keep playing and take the character through Trespasser. That said I wouldn't mind doing a run through of DAI again soon but have a couple of games queued ahead of it. The only class combo I've tried where I have not been completely bored is Two Handed Templar and dual wielding tempest. I've tried every Mage type and they all suck so much it drives me nuts. Pew. Pew, kill me now. I also dislike the limited abilities a lot and would not consider profiles to be an improvement because I played MEA and only switched once after I realized Sniper had been nuked by removing stealth You have to work a little more on your Mage because it is definitely not merely pew, pew.

I want persuasion/intimidation skill back. Or I suppose they could make it a perk. Either way, I want to be able to choose whether my character is charismatic and good at convincing people or TERRIBLE at it and can't persuade people to do shit. We did have perks, sort of, there isn't really much difference between investing skill points into some dialogue skill and investing influence points to perk up your dialogue capabilities. Imho.

Why not go all the way and have a full-on conversation minigame that puts the skill into skill checks?

I just don't know how to fix it...
Its even worse when you know you have posted but you want to post a new idea but aren't sure you haven't posted it before.
Like so:
One of the things that I know probably is a wild goose chase dream for me is I want the ability to craft now only the bows in DA 4...but the arrows as well. This idea has gotten some renwed attention from my brain considering in DA I you often had two weapon slots for your hands, now two handed weapons took up both slots but what if they made it so the second slot when you have a bow are taken up by your arrows. Now to be clear your bow will fire regular arrows if you do not equip any, or you can find them in the world via loot, but if you craft them you can do what you did in DA I and match them to what you think is important. Not asking for a HUGE attribute or stat spike with these like +50 Dex! just something like 5% crit damage might not be too shabby. After all a bow is made out of two components.
Also I think a lot more realistic expectation but one I wouldn't mind seeing in this vein would be for them to add wood as a craftable resource in the game. Metal bows are nice and all but they sound hinky since most bows, as far as I know, have historically been made of wood. But this could just as easily apply to swords and daggers too or they could add in new weapon types like bo staffs in order to make it viable to all the other classes. Maybe it could effect things like recharge speed or reduces the amount of stamina your abilities need to use...I don't know.
Edit: lets hope this works...

I want to be able to shapeshift into a gigantic lion to decimate a large group of enemies and able to fight larger foes like ogres, dragons, and demons. I love how Skyrim does with the werewolf transformation and I really love the way how it enhances strength, speed, and agility. I think the designers should learn from this to make shapeshifter a powerful specialization, and I wanted the same for shapeshifting into powerful predators like dragons, bears, and lions of course. This is the ideal design of a lion and the reason I picked this image because it catches a battle hardened lion that can take on any enemy and devour anything that gets in it's way. More like an apex predator type of thing.

Not gonna lie, DAI'S combat felt more like something that you would find in a MMO and not in a single player game. And having played GoW lately, I preferred GoW's combat then DAI'S, like WAY more. I saw how great the combat God of War is and I'll get the game on the weekend to complete my collection. And I do 110% agree that they should learn from God of War to improve combat gameplay to make Dragon Age more enjoyable.

Wait is that the combat style for God of War? Does that include QTEs? There are moments during major boss fights where QTEs are involved, yes. But that on its own I would be fine with, as long as they resulted in branching paths instead of plain old win/die. But the main mechanic of God of War's combat is using your acquired skills by pressing buttons in the correct order. There are also "Runic Attacks" that work the same way DA combat abilities do. You get two of those at once, and they have hefty cooldowns. The main reason I'm against the idea, though, is because DA should stay DA, and not try to ape other ideas just because they work for other franchises. My favourite game of all time is Dragon Quest VIII, but that doesn't mean I want DA to change to classic JRPG turn-based content, or make us go underground to retrieve a magic harp from a giant talking mole.

That's where Assassins Creed started losing me with Syndicate and even more so with Origins as they now have adrenaline bars and different buttons to hit to activate different attacks using the adrenaline bar plus actively having to hold SHIFT to keep your shield up etc......
