I think DA4 should have combat and finishing moves to bring up combat into a whole new level, and I think it would be a step up on combat gameplay. They could learn a lot from this.

I've been playing AC:O and I would love it if they had something like Phylake bounty hunters in the next DA game. Super powerful, so much so you have to avoid them at lower levels, as in they can kill you with one shot. There is such a sense of accomplishment when you get to a skill level where you can take them on and win. ooo, what about a big bad random encounter boss/dragon that could literally appear on any of the maps available? so there you are, farming some nugs in boring ol'-- oh shit! a dragon!

I don't like surprise attacks. The Phylakes are clearly marked on the map with a red skull and an alarm sounds when they get too close to you so the player can avoid them if they're too powerful. That is a good thing because there are ten of them and almost all are above level 20 ( I think one might be at 18), and I think 5 are above level 30 in a game (pre-expansions) where 40 is the highest level. They all have names (the toughest is called The Iron Bull) and wander around certain areas in chariots. It is similar to the dragons in DAI scaled down for single combat, but I'm saying I would like something like these elite bounty hunters in addition to the dragons. They had something like this in Skyrim as well but the Dark Brotherhood assassin's were all weak.

Rather than 13 dragon's that seem o be voluntarily keeping themselves in a cage, asleep, and Totally oblivious to the outside world.

ooo, what about a big bad random encounter boss/dragon that could literally appear on any of the maps available? so there you are, farming some nugs in boring ol'-- oh! a dragon! excellent. And then the dragon grabs the main character with her mouth shaking her head, then throwing the main character across the screen killing her/him. Now the player has to play one of the companions to deal with the dragon. If at a low level, the companion cries like a little baby while running from the dragon. Once far enough from the dragon, the main character magically comes to life. At that point, the player fast travels back to base to find more quests to do to level up to deal with the dragon the next time a surprise attack should happen. Or at a certain point in the game , and high enough level, the player has a surprise encounter with the legendary dragon. It is huge. Nearly twice as large as other dragons. The camera focuses on the main character who takes a big gulp of air with the look of 'oh crap'. The dragon will have the capability to grab a companion or main character with its mouth, fly high in the air and drop the character to their death. excellent. The dragon will have a sweeping tail move that will knock all to the ground taking away a good chunk of their health. It is large enough to step on a character instantly killing that character. The dragon can also use its horns to impale a character killing that character instantly.

I want them to go back to doing the big talk with all companions before the final showdown. We had none of that in the base game. We sort of had some in trespasser.

As long as I can save during it whenever I want and can talk to people in any order since I always leave LI for last if I can. Not being able to save at the FOB in ME3 was dumbdumbdumb. Possibly having LI be almost the first person you talk to was annoying.

I've decided that I like Meredith's voice actor. Especially that line," if you cannot give me a better way then do not brand me a tyrant."
Let's bring her back for more, shall we? She's got skills.

I wanted to be able to shapeshift into a dragon to fly across the world, and to wreak havoc on a battlefield. That would be a good specialization of Shapeshifter.

What I want to see
A living, breathing world that responds to your choices. The world doesn't need to be an "open" world. BioWARE is at its best when the story is on rails. You can show me this "open" world in a place ten times as small, provided the people react appropriately.
Immersive characters. If we are Tevinter, show me a mage that has grown up believing magic is both natural and a blessing. It should permeate his being.
Likable and understandable characters. Too many people have said things like "I don't want to be a hero", or "Lolz, I wants 2 be da EVILZ." That is the biggest turn-off I've ever seen. If I don't care about the character, screw him.
When it comes to characters specifically, I'd like to see a character recently off of a relationship. Perhaps he was married and his wife dies violently over the course of the game. Show me the bitter, raw emotion.
Be it plot or character, treat all choices as if they require a valid justification. If I have a choice to side with two people, give me a good reason to side with either, presented clearly within the game. Never autodialogue a character reaction to another character. Ever.

If I don't care about the character, screw him. I think there's a middle ground here. Being a mustache-twirlingly evil caricature is totally different from just not being a hero - plenty of people want to survive, or want to protect their own families and interests, so they're not necessarily heroic but they're not villainous either. I like playing characters who aren't squeaky clean. I don't mind a character with a history - I think it'd be nice to have a LI, female or male, who's been married in the past - but please none of this 'my wife was violently killed and now I'm angsty' stuff. No more dead wives/girlfriends/kids. It's old and overdone. Bad breakup and bitter as hell? No problem. Agreed. Women In Refrigerators is lazy writing. "My girlfriend/daughter/mother was killed and now I'm a grimdark anti-hero badass out for reVENGE!!1"

In DAO I loved when either my character as a mage or Morrigan had the shape shifting skill and turned into bees and attacked the enemy, it was fun! If not a full giant dragon, a wyvern or griffin would be fun. Or hopefully train a dragon and being able to ride it and use his fire skill on the battlefield. Kind of like Divinty 2 but better. I rather be the dragon than ride one. It's much more fun and versatile.

Well... Dragon Age has always done it better Yep. Look at ME3. Holobyes? It was funny the yellow pages QEC guy was able to find Jack like he did. She must have been the only person in the galaxy named Jack. I've decided that I like Meredith's voice actor. Especially that line," if you cannot give me a better way then do not brand me a tyrant." Let's bring her back for more, shall we? She's got skills. Another yep. She's the best character in DA2. Jean Gilpin did a very good job voicing tha character. Maybe the next da game the player learns that Meredith has a twin sister who becomes a companion. hint, hint Bioware

Higher Level Cap. I've been just replaying DA2 and leveling feels so slow at times. Also getting the "Veteran" achievement at level 20 in DAI felt too soon. Cosmetic Armor. Because I would just wear the Chasind Robes for the rest of the game if I could. Hide Head Slot. This has already been present in the last two games (DAI & MEA) but I'm going to mention it just in case. Class Intro Sequence. Like the one in DA2. Only it should be optional this time. Like a separate thing from the main game. Wartable. Because it was awesome. More missions this time but otherwise it could be just like it was in DAI and I would be most happy.
Just some of the things on my Wishlist.

I didn't like the missions where you send your advisers to collect minerals/leather/herbs etc. You could just remove those entirely in my opinion. Or have some easier way to do it. Maybe talk to agents of the Inquisition directly and send them on these errands. Or those companions who are not with you while you're exploring. Like the companion craft missions in SWTOR.

^ I think it'd be awesome to be able to send your actual companions out on missions. Like when you have half your group defending Denerim and the other half fighting the Archdemon, or in ME2 where you assign someone to lead the second fire team, etc.
It makes your companions seem like capable leaders in their own right, instead of just tagalongs for the almighty protagonist.

I want to see a broodmother again. It would be really gross and disturbing probably, but that's sorta the point. Hespith's poem in Origins followed by the revelation about how more darkspawn are created was horrifying. So was the Mother in Awakening, particularly when you consider how disturbed she was by her awakened state. Did she remember her time as a human? If so I can't imagine how she felt about her current state.
I guess what I really want here is more dark fantasy instead of high fantasy, as well as elements like this that were forgotten after Origins.

Cass had a dead ex, which you only find out about if you romance her, but I think she's the only one. Anders had Karl which, again, you only find out about as male Hawke. Zevran, of course, had Rinna. ME was worse, Thane and Steve being the most egregious examples. It's still old though, as is the "virgin/first love" type (Alistair, Liara, Tali, etc.).
Time for some experience but preferably without the tragedy tag-alongs. DAI did ok with the older cast of characters but just couldn't leave the tragic past completely out of it.
