If they bring back the Creation/Entorpy/Spirit/Primal talent trees and a give every mage access to them like origins, then there won't we any issue of "having to bring the healer character" because you could spec any mage for it. Giving companions unique specialisations was never the problem, removing basic talent trees from their options was, removing healing entirely was an overkill move. For the wishlist: - I hope they don't change the combat to manual attack/dodge/block combat. I like how well I do in fights to be dependent on my thinking and the characters build, not on my personal reflexes.
They didn't remove healing at all though. They merely gave it everyone instead which is far better than forcing you to "always" spec one mage for healing. Imho. In DAI, I felt obligated to dip every mage into the Spirit tree, regardless of specialization, in order to get better Barriers. And I felt obligated to have at least one mage with me at all times.
Barrier in DAI was more necessary than healers in DAO and certainly in DA2, imo.

Really? My current PT only Solas has it (and my Inquisitor is a Mage), and I really only needed it for the prologue. Once I got access to the Golden Nug, the superior gear made barrier unnecessary for me. It always made more sense to me that the Inquisition would have access to fancy gear and schematics anyway, so using it never felt unrealistic.

I want Spirit Healer back.
I like having, (if not a class, at least a skill tree) something ENTIRELY devoted to restoration instead of destruction.
One of my favorite revelations from Origins was a fight in the Deep Roads against a bunch of poison attacks designed to slow us down.
We kept advancing.
Pulsing white, because my Cleansing Aura kept removing injuries and debuffs... I don't NEED a Storm of the Century when I can simply out-exist you.
Group Heal is among my favorite game-changers. Being able to completely reverse a bad situation AT-WILL is immensely powerful in my opinion. Revival is another.
- "They got the warrior!" *I step forward, bringing my friend back from the brink* - "No, they have NOT." *Once more, with gusto*
Less poetry, more gameplay:
I find it a unique challenge to play only with support abilities or with few direct attack options. I act as a a battle commander, directing my allies to the most pressing target, aiding with buffs/shields/healing as needed.

In view of the current shit trend of rpg games(here I'm putting any game with dialogue options) in keeping things dynamics and "interesting", where you have to fight the dialogue mecanics, instead of it being your tamed pet that helps you in creating your character, I have to put this most sincere wish of mine: Please, don't put timed decisions in DA4 and fire anyone who suggest such bad idea.

So more of a marketing suggestion then in game I'd kind of appreciate it if they released the skill trees about a month before launch, give us something to do and since I am so bad at actually studdying the things in the game itself and thus not optimize them quite. They can even give us the specializations but not tell us who they belong to.
In game suggestion: Geralt GPS from Witcher 3. You click on a quest, it gives you the best path for that quest.

A robust skill tree. None of the DA games have really involved skill trees, IMO. I want to see skill levels, skill upgrades, exclusive branching trees, etc., and I want there to be a skill point cap that encourages us to think about how we build characters instead of just putting points into whatever and eventually being able to create an OP character that has all skills at their beck and call.
Also, like many others, I'd really like a healing class back. If they can't balance direct healing spells, maybe they could create a healer that focuses on healing-over-time spells, affixing healing, or a draining type healer (Blood Mage would work well). Heck, I'd even take a non-mage class that uses items to heal the party! I really enjoy the healing playstyle and I'd be discouraged if it never returned.

The thing I most hate about open world games is trying to figure out how to get somewhere rather than actually playing the game. Too often a quest is at the top of a mountain and I end up having to track around in order to find the way up (More often than not, it might not even look like a trail).

Please for the love of God make it so party banter isn’t skipped because some random person decides to tell me something. I swear, almost every time I go to a camp, one of my companions start saying something, only for the requisitions officer to interrupt. Party Banter is one of the reasons I love these games so it’s damned annoying.

Party Banter is one of the reasons I love these games so it’s damned annoying. Last playthrough I took to standing dead still a few feet from camp to hear the banter. It mostly worked but there were still a few interruptions, sometimes by merely running through an invisible trigger somewhere in the world, so I'd tab out and google the first line of the conversation. Every time some kind soul had uploaded the very thing I missed on Youtube. This is commonly brought up internally as well It is? Awesome. Guys....guys....we're not muttering into the wind after all.

Do I dare ask if DAMP multiplayer and Arcane Warrior will return?EDIT: I hope the team takes the time to implement some of the features that didn't make it into Inquisition (from that private showcase they revealed). I also hope they expand the skill trees some as well.

The reason why my Inquisitor doesn't use a mount is to build up her/his endurance. That's why she/he likes running in the sand in the Hissing Wastes.

I agree with no timed decisions. I don't want to miss an opportunity because I'm having a slow think day or somebody is clamoring for my RL attention.
I like taking screenshots (maybe too much so). I enjoy trying to get just the right angle when a lot of interesting stuff is going on. I pause, I hide the HUD, and still can't get a good shot because the targeting star and the enemy health bar remain on my screen. It was great in DA2 when I could pause, hit the 'V' key, and no interface was in the way of me and my desired pic.
Bring back the conversation history. It was so nice in DAO when I could review recent conversations after I'd been away for a couple of days and get back on track - or enjoy a particular encounter again.

Wonder if Bioware will have mages just flinging fireballs, bolts of lightning and wizard blizzards at the enemy.

I like to see a challenge mode. Something like what the Batman games and God of War games have. They have no effect on the main story. Once the player progresses past a certain part of the game, a challenge is unlocked. It can be completed at that time, or, if the player chooses, complete the game, then go back to play the challenges with all upgraded armor and weapons.. Each challenge can be x number of waves of enemies and/or something like a mirror match similar to what is seen in the arena in the Citadel dlc in ME3.

Talking God of War, and thinking of artifacts in WOW... Having that one cool weapon. With a special power, and heavily related to the lore. With the different classes, the type of weapon could change.
Also getting one weird companion like a floating skull (of the Madman of Chaos ancient magister) or the special weapon talking, extra points if cool lore dump+ flirty+ sarcastic.

Honestly, I'd rather all classes be versatile enough for any situation, rather than being forced to run an artificially "balanced" party. If I want to run a group of nothing but one or two classes, I should be able to. Any encounters, whether combat or environmental obstacles, that require a specific character or class to solve strikes me lazy design. From a role playing standpoint, I hate it when the writers force you to recruit characters you and/or your PC might not like, as if they can't stand the thought that someone won't see their work even once .
