Here's two things I haven't mentioned in any other posts in this thread:
First, I want TW3's movement modes. Being restricted to walking, running and climbing ladders feels artificial, and riding felt completely unnatural in DAI. I want to walk, run, climb, swim, dive, use boats and horses etc., with all of that feeling as natural as it did in TW3.
Second, a difficulty adjustable in two dimensions. What I wanted most, for instance in Descent, is not easier fighting, but shorter fighting. I don't want to spend (read: waste) so much time in combat, but the time I do spend with it can be somewhat difficult. Currently, the typical difficulty setting lets you survive with little effort, but it does nothing to make the fights shorter since you do the same damage and the enemies appear to have the same hit points. So, I want to adjust the damage done to you by the enemies independently from the damage you do to them.

Crossover from the Solas thread, but if we have dual protagonists, then I definitely want this now: As for the Inquisitor's appearance for those selected key moments of the game, the introduction to the Inquisitor character, could be resolved via singular cutscene, similar to the one we see at the end of the Trespasser, indicating our underground operation base and introducing the war table/similar mechanic, where as the Inqusitor we will be operating our movements. The next following appearances of the Inquisitor should apply to individual missions, one or several, regularly distributed during the main narrative. As an example, one of these missions can take the form of a dream. Due to the fact that the Fade is Solas' dominion, it has the opportunity to play an interesting role, enabling occasional conversations with him in one or several moments of the game. Depending on our relationship with him and our dialogue choices, it could influence his actions in the final confrontation. The final confrontation, as in the case of MEA, should be divided between the main protagonist and the Inquisitor. At some point there may be a separation, where both characters must simultaneously deal with other matters, or will be forced to do so by occurring circumstances. Another reason may be the Inquisitor's personal narrative itself, which will eventually lead to her/his separation and then resolved during the final confrontation. The inquisitor having Fade conversations with Solas after key story beats is an interesting idea. Kinda like those QEC conversations Shepard had with Hackett after major missions in ME3, but more involved. Solas reacting to developments from the main protag, discussing them with the Inquisitor, and the Inquisitor could use those opportunities to either continue to threaten him or try to continue to change his mind (or maybe fake trying to change his mind in the hopes of tricking him into a trap or something). And we choose all that dialogue. Add in some conversations with other allies in the real world before and after those Fade conversations, and some involvement in the finale, and you've got an appropriate amount of content for TLCA, in my opinion.
All without forcing the player to learn a new combat style aside from their main protagonist's. Hell, in this scenario, they wouldn't even actually need their arm back.
I like this idea, mesciq. I'd still be fine with the Inquisitor being the protag, but for a dual protag system, it'd be a good way to go.

Another thing i hope they add from Odyssey: ability to upgrade your gear (preferably gold only) so if you have a weapon you like you can keep it relevant...like the dragon bow.

Gear that levels with you, like in the DA2 item packs.
Also, loot that levels with you. If I open a chest at level 6, I should get level 6-8 gear. If I open it at level 15, it should be level 15+ gear.
Quest rewards that are class-based. Nothing worse than getting an awesome reward, but not being able to use it because I'm a mage and the awesome weapon is a 2H sword. Screw companions....I want to be able to use it myself!

Just let me upgrade my weapon and ill be happy.

I wish DA4 would be as seriously as Kingdom Come Deliverance it is. I mean did you hear what they sing in taverns?^^
a direct translation from the German version, I have not hear the english version:
It is a big funny moment, when Henry and the priest enjoy themself with easy woman and at the end henry can pee from the church tower. a roleplaying game with so many possibilities, that dares so much. This is fun.
Bioware. Please, have the courage and go back to the dark and gritty and bloody world from DAO. Not this rainbow unicorn World from DAI.

I like a quest that involves the main character and companions. What I mean is a quest where a warrior, archer, mage and dual dagger are needed to complete the quest. The warrior can smash through a weak wall or need their strength for moving an object. The mage for making a bridge, providing light in an area without torches. The archer to fire an arrow at a object to open a door, fire at a vine to use for all to swing over a ravine, gorge or a gap that is too wide to jump over, and the dual dagger can throw a knife at whatever that activates a door, hidden wall or a statue that moves revealing a secret area.

Maybe not specifically with cursing and whoring and pissing from church towers, but the gritty and lived-in feel, as well as the more or less unbiased dilemmas and themes, of DAO are sorely missed. And the roleplaying freedom of the old dialogue tree. And classes sans weapon restrictions. And rogues who don't fight like anime characters. And generally less spectacle and more substance again, please. And Loghain. For God's sake bring Loghain back. Also, plenty of light romance/flirt options scattered throughout the setting, a la Andromeda. It was great to get to play a character with lots of sexual energy and interest to go around, but no time or resources for a heavy committed relationship on top of everything else going on.

I'd love to play this Bizarro-world version of DA:O that I keep hearing about. Is it developed by Erawoib?

DA:O was not THAT dark and gritty. I don't think the tone have changed a lot from DA:O to DA:I, just the story. I won't be too happy if John Epler delivers on his "DA is about friendship and how no matter what...." blah blah blah friendship is magic, no! That said. I would not mind if they actually made Dragon Age MUCH MORE gorey. I mean, it already is 18+ why the heck not commit fully to all the adult themes

A lot of gore is usually reserved for 18+ games Atleast the heavier stuff. And since Dragon Age is 18+ already, might as well commit fully. Did you read my post?

Honestly, gore shouldn’t even be in 18+ games. As we see here, children can still get their hands on them. And while it doesn’t turn them violent, it sure does turn them into little edgelords.

I would not mind if they actually made Dragon Age MUCH MORE gorey. Gore is not necessary to make the setting dark and sinister. Back in DAO one of the most unnerving parts was when we meet Hespeth and her voice follows us around reciting that creepy poem about how they make darkspawn brood-mothers. That was spine chilling horror, particularly if you have a good imagination. I've always found excessive gore in films either repulsive or comical, depending on how the special effects are done, and largely gratuitous violence that certainly doesn't add anything in story telling terms. When playing these games I know I am killing people without having to see more blood sprayed about than it is already.

I'd like to see a return to the injury system that we have in Origins, but have it expanded upon, for example, a S&S warrior could suffer a broken arm & not be able to hold their shield for a set time, using an injury kit, would visibly put a sling on the character & cut the healing time in half. Add to this the option to sit on chairs, speeding up recovery time, lying on beds, speeding it up further & maybe even adding a spell to cure wounds that takes the remaining time down to a quarter of what's left.
It's just an opinion & I know that it would take a resources & time to implement, but I think it might add depth to the game to see your character limping around for example because they've got a sprained ankle, or something like that.
Just my thoughts.

You set someone on fire: They fall over.

And one can argue sitting doesn't have a point in Skyrim/Fallout, either. Still glad I can, though.

I had a little time to think, and...
For me, an ending to it. Like KOTOR, KOTOR2, ME1, ME3, DAO, DA2, DAI.
It's ironic because I remember thinking it's a shame I can't continue to play after main story completion in Fallout 3 (without Broken Steel) and now I've changed my opinion into this.
I just find it nice when a game has a solid, non-questionable ending point and an epilogue. A "Here the story ends". I also think I might prefer the tight narrative structures of earlier RPGs. While Inquisition and Andromeda are both nice, they're a little looser on the narrative lever. It's a different approach, not necessarily worse. Myself, however, I think I prefer it neat and tight.
