See one of my biggest problems with DAIs story was the fact that..after the terrific In Your Heart Shall Burn...the Inquisitor had a very easy path to victory. Which...if you'll remember In Your Heart shall Burn did have the Inquisitor get their asses kicked, but then nothing Two major disappointments for me were the lack of consequences in the main plot to your decision whether or not to banish the Grey Wardens and nil impact of improvements to the Keep. When we are asked to make the decision over the Wardens it is heavily implied that they will still pose a risk if we allow them to remain. This made sense since Corypheus had proven he could control Wardens at a distance and later Morrigan asserts there is no limit to his range. The Grey Wardens we meet in the Arbor Wilds are there whether we choose to banish them or not. I banished them first run for their own good but it was always intended to be a temporary situation until Corypheus had been dealt with. I also specifically told Leliana not to use this for propaganda against them across the rest of Thedas. Then in the epilogue I am told the banishment was permanent and the Grey Wardens are being shunned across Thedas. Meanwhile, if you don't banish them you get additional war table missions and the southern Wardens are stronger than ever. So I felt I had been deliberately misled since there was no downside to keeping the Wardens. (I will take this back if keeping the Wardens has a downside in DA4) Having played ME2 and Awakening where your decision whether or not to upgrade your base does make a difference to the outcome when it comes to the survival or not of your companions, I made a point of upgrading Skyhold everywhere I could, despite the tedious resource collecting it involved. I fully expected Corypheus to attack us at Skyhold and that people would die if we had failed to upgrade. However, that turned out not to be the case and the upgrading was purely cosmetic. So if they heavily imply bad consequences to taking certain action, particularly if logic suggests it would be a bad idea, I would like them to follow through with that rather than actually reward you for doing so. Alternatively, not say anything to influence your decision. Also make upgrading significant to the plot or not make us expend so much effort on doing so. The same applies to collections or at least not waste a "find the item" facility on it. I went into the game thinking that the gold highlighting was pointing to items that would be important to the plot or at least useful and whilst this was in case in certain instances, the number of times it was simply another bottle made me want to scream in subsequent games. (Instead I just swore at the screen and ignored it, knowing what I would find.)

I would like more realistic world map, less mountains, cliffs ( I dont know why, but it seems like obsession for bioware.), no unguarded chests appearing with out any reason (DA:I) and stupid minigames. Basicaly world you could enjoy exploring and who would feel real. I think witcher 3 did it perfectly.

I still want a hat shop. I didn't get one in Hightown or Orlais, and although we got that really cool shop at the Winter Palace in Tresspasser there wasn't a single hat. So maybe in Minrathous we can get a hat shop. I bet Tevinter has some really evil looking hats. 👑🎩🧢

I remember that hat! Isn't it magnificent? But we haven't seen the Black Divine's hat yet, I bet it rivals the Archon's. Just one more thing to look forward to in the next DA. 🖤

No region locked for subtitles, please. To this day, there's still an awful translation in my country for "Way of the Champion" in my country: something like "Way of the Hawke"

Basicaly world you could enjoy exploring and who would feel real. I think witcher 3 did it perfectly. For a game that's set in the real world, sure. But for Dragon Age, I'd prefer it slant a little more towards the exotic/slightly fantastical environments.
The reason for this is that with the rise of photogrammetry, you have these gorgeous, real-world environments, but a lot of these games are starting to feel the same now. They're using the same trees, grass, jungle, etc. assets and I think DA should strive to distinguish itself, so that any screenshot you take, you can immediately identify it as a DA game.
Now I'm not trying to put down photogrammetry, just the opposite - I think they should just try to make an effort to capture assets and create environments that distinguish themselves from others out there. And then give it a slight fantasy spin.
One reason I didn't really care for the Witcher 3's environments (in the main game), is that it felt too familiar. They looked like places I have either lived, or visited. And overall felt kinda drab. DA:I on the other hand looked like (for the most part) places that could exist, but not overly familiar. And each region having it's own (slightly punchy) colour palette also helped (IMO).

So these are things I might've mentioned but have been thinking on them a bit more. Craftable Arrows: I was thinking that it would be really nice if you could craft your own arrows, but to expand, that basically if you are a 'rogue' or use a bow as your ranged weapon of choice it'd be nice if as you get resources you could craft arrows to do certain effects. And if your quiver gave you the option to have at least three different types of arrows 'normal arrows' (basically just wood and a tip) or special arrows (arrows which create an effect). Normal arrows are unlimted, special arrows require more resources to craft as you use them...or find them in the world. They can be crafted with plants you find, or lyrium, what have you, that give different effects. Martial Arts Skill Tree: I am still not sure of the practicality of this but I would certainly like, especially if you can only carry one weapon at a time, and would be curious to see what BioWare can do with a skill tree that is meant for unarmed, or limited armed combat. Non lethal weapons: This can include things like paralyzing arrows or more blunt weapons like batons or staff that are designed to knock out a target but not neccessarily kill them, unless you choose too because blunt force trama is a thing...or neck snapping.

I would like DA4 to be single-player only. Bioware just made Anthem for the people who like multiplayer. Now it is time to make a game for the people who like single player. AC:O was single-player only. DA4 could be as well.

I find that sorta kinda doubtful, seeing as they've been hiring for the position of Franchise Technical Director (or something), and they were looking for experience with multiplayer...

In one of the other threads several people told me EA would let Bioware make a single-player game. I am not sure if that is true, but if it is, Bioware should do it.

At least I haven't heard anything about multiplayer for Jedi: Fallen Order. We'll know next month. On that matter, since we're talking about wishes... Kal-Sharok and female Qunari LI or bust.

Another DA4 wish from me:
I hope they use some of those sweet, sweet facial animations I am seeing in Anthem clips in DA4. (But with more classic cinematic setups that allow us to see the PC's face in the conversation, please.)
And I'd say I hope the story is good (cus I just binged on said Anthem reviews), but this is the team that gave me DAI and they've made it clear the story will heavily focus on/involve the Dread Wolf related plots, so I know perfectly well I'll like the story.

more frequent banter.
In dai i think it was on a 15 min timer, and the timer could be interrupted by pausing. It felt kinda silent, despite wandering big open spaces for so many hours
so i'd be down for cutting that timer down a fair bit to hear more from the crew. If they're worried the banter would be too frequent and might annoy some people they could put an option in the settings for how frequently you want to hear banter?

If they're worried the banter would be too frequent and might annoy some people they could put an option in the settings for how frequently you want to hear banter? I also wouldn't mind an invisible timer/gauge that fills and then when its ready you get a chat bubble next to companion character portraits to tell you banter is available. Maybe you can activate it with a hotkey or interacting with the companion in the field. I didn't have timing issues on the banter, but I DID have banter interrupted by combat multiple times b/c they'd start talking just before we hit a pack of enemies. And I'd like to avoid that in the future. Prompts or going back to the system of banter lines triggering in set spots would work. Or perhaps setting it so banter only starts when you don't have actively hostile mobs within a certain radius? And if they're not going to fix that, at least set it so that banter that hasn't completed gets repeated the next time banter is meant to be said.
