Are the four of us enough for a movement? But...ugh...you spoke to the Requisitions Officer??? Sometimes, sacrifices must be made. She must be commended. Indeed. A true professional. We all need more Requisitions Officers in our lives. *pulls out requisitioned flag and dual wields with shitty improvised one* Our off-hand can double our effectiveness no matter what our right hand is doing! The world needs to see!

Okay, so I had a dream last night that I was playing DA4 and I was exploring an area that looked a lot like Yosemite and I happened to stumble across the most magnificent treasure with all these beautiful rogue type weapons and this amazing cutlass made of the brightest silvery metal, it literally gleamed... and that is when the biggest fucking bear showed up. Goddamn bears. I didn't have time to collect the treasure so I jumped on my horse to try and outrun the bear and my horse turned into a pony. So here I am on this little pony trying to outrun this huge bear and a friend pops up out of nowhere right next to me and asks if I need any help. Well, I of course say yes, and proceed to tell him to go back and hide the loot I had to leave behind because it was still out in the open and someone else might get it.
Why am I telling you this story, you ask? Because it made me realize a few things. Firstly, we really need a spell that can shrink large dangerous creatures to a more adorable size, that way we don't have to kill or be killed by them. I mean we have Chauncey, so we know it's possible. Can you imagine a tiny dragon?! I realize that this type of thing may not be feasible to use just anywhere in the game so maybe on just certain creatures in certain areas. Secondly, it made me realize just how much I love DA because I was so excited to be playing this imaginary DA4. And thirdly, I apparently have a thing for cutlasses.
Also, there should be one mount in the game that is magically cursed to change into a tiny pony whenever it feels threatened. 😄

*requisitions a flag* #twoswordsforall Dual wielders would be nice, but I want ranged warriors to make a come back. Hell, they don't even need a dedicated skill tree, just let me be able to switch to auto attacking with arrows when my ranged rogues and/or DPS mages go down, like in Origins !

It won’t happen without a specific skill tree, because warriors and rogues’ skills are tied to their weaponry. And they won’t make the archery tree available to both class unless the rogue has an additional weapon tree. Granted, they might shake things up (and considering the battle system changes in each iteration of the franchise, it’s quite likely), but I wouldn’t bet on it.

I know, but they changed things from DA2 and it continued with DAI. Expecially given how stats worked in the latter, it’d be impossible to have warriors use bows and rogues shields and swords.

I’d personally love something like DAO’s system or a more flexible one, I just wouldn’t bet on it to happen, since it was something people wanted already after DA2, and it didn’t change in Inquisition. Though hopefully Luke Barrett liking your post is a sign of at least a plan to deliver a more flexible system.

more frequent banter. In dai i think it was on a 15 min timer, and the timer could be interrupted by pausing. It felt kinda silent, despite wandering big open spaces for so many hours so i'd be down for cutting that timer down a fair bit to hear more from the crew. If they're worried the banter would be too frequent and might annoy some people they could put an option in the settings for how frequently you want to hear banter?
Frequent banter usually runs into repetitive banter which is particularly annoying..
There is a WORD count limit imposed on the game. So said David Gaider, lead writer (I believe) in the Dragon Age series. This limits the banter for each character. How many line do each character have? Well, you could take the number of lines / number of NPCs. However, some NPCs will have a greater role and more banter lines given to them. Thus even less for others.

That's why I suggested a setting to adjust how frequently you hear it, you control the timer rather than 15 mins for everyone. If you feel the banter is getting annoying you could increase the timer from 15 to 30 mins, but if im feeling the games getting lonely/boring I could turn it from 15 to 10. Also, I know about the word count, I'm not asking they put more into the banter of the game, DAI had lots of banter, there's a youtube video with all of if and its plenty. But I feel I only saw a fraction of that banter despite multiple playthroughs. Exploration in games isnt something I'm very into, so hearing more from the characters couldve spiced it up for me personally.

Another thing they could do is how ghost recon handles dialogue. Every time the characters are interrupted (like by combat) the main character says some variation of "hold on" and then when things quiet down its "where were we?" And the dialogue continues from where it left off.

74 pages, so I assume this has probably been said before, but;
Non-combat "skills", that occur alongside standard abilities/spells, rather than costing an ability point. Not specific to class i.e. I'd like to be able to train a mage to pick a lock.
Or maybe, more 'setting accurate' have ways for mages and warriors to open locks. A mage has an "Open" spell that is available from the "skills menu". A warrior can "Pry" or "Bash" open a lock.
My point is, our characters shouldn't just be a collection of "ways to kill enemies". They should have other skills which set them apart from companions and other characters we choose to play in that game.

I don't know if this is a wish for me per say, but one silly thing I've noticed in my gaming trends is to avoid all crafting... unless it's cooking actual food. Armor, I'd prefer cool unique loot. Other than basic health or magic potions, I always forget potions and poisons are in my inventory and never use them. But if there's a cooking type craft my characters become master chefs.

But if there's a cooking type craft my characters become master chefs. The only reason for a cooking mechanic is because you have to lug around food to eat to restore your health. No thanks - it takes up inventory space I need for real loot. Just give me health potions (plenty of them) and a way to make more that doesn't cost a fortune.

Just to be clear, I wasn't saying food would replace potions, but rather just exist in game as a different option. Skyrim lets you cook without it being required, and provisioning is a skill in ESO alongside alchemy. Pillars of Eternity also had both.
