I'd love for a way to break down equipment (armor and weapons) into crafting materials Yeah, it'd be nice to have a way to recycle gear, even if we don't get back the same amount of mats put into it. There's nothing worse than having to reload, because you realised halfway through you screwed up and wasted a ton of rare materials making the wrong thing.

I mean, using weapons that are laying around is one thing, but putting on some dead guy's armor? yeah...no (in games like Skyrim I make it a rule to only wear crafted or bought armor)

Speaking of crafting, can we buy masterworks in DA4, rather that spend hours farming mats in the hopes that they might randomly drop? Even if we have to pay through the nose for them and spend half as much time killing mobs for the cash, it'd be so much easier.

Yeeeees, I'd also love if they'd sell NPC outfits and armor designs we didn't have access to and let us craft them into high level tier stats even if it did cost us all of Skyhold.

How about some trophies for other non-standard builds?
Kill 1000 enemies as an Unarmed Mage Caster: "You Got The Touch"
Kill 1000 enemies as an Unarmed Warrior/Rogue: "Unarmed and Dangerous".

(I'd really love for a bow that functions as staff, then have the protagonist echo Dalish and say 'it's a bow' )

Well into the endgame of my Inquisition playthrough now. For the next game, it would be nice if findable gear doesn't suck quite so badly compared to what can easily be crafted by the late game.
Cleaning my inventory for oceans of trash every hour or so is annoying, and instantly having to sell really cool equipment with its own lore and in-game story, or that I had to fight and travel and read and think to get my hands on, because it's utterly useless compared to what I'm wearing always makes me feel cheap and guilty.

Nearing the end of a series playthrough that has taken the better part of a year in total, and feeling the sheer fatigue of it, I think I could also live with the next game not being as big or long as we've gotten used to these days. I'd be disappointed to complete it in a single setting, but not having the story and collectible-hunting and sidequests dragged out into the hundreds of hours and them instead spending that development time polishing up the whole thing wouldn't go amiss. The whole experience might be much tighter and more impactful if Bioware isn't focused on providing us with mediocre escapism for weeks on end.

I want interesting, well-written characters and a good story. Preferably one without plot holes the size of mass relays, yes I am talking to you ME Andromeda. If I get a scene between my Inquisitor and Solas where he restores her arm (she was an archer for Maker's sake. An ARCHER) and they walk into the Fade together, I will be over the moon happy.
Or you know... maybe I'll just make the game myself. Considering the state of Bioware at the moment maybe that is our only shot at actually getting a DA 4.

If I can't have Vivienne's hat, NO ONE SHALL On that note, how about individual helmet toggles for each character? I mean, I'd LOVE to have Vivienne's hat on display, but if another character's helmet if fugly (especially the Inquisitor's) I have to choose. It's all or nothing.

Yeah, same. My mage (non-solavellan) Inquisitor was pretty okay with it, she can hold a staff with one hand, just no weird tricks and spins. BUT my archer solavellan was PISSED

I like to have the Wicked Witch of the West edition. In the previous DA games, the term witch was used. So why not play as a witch, or at least look like one. After completing the game once, the player gets the option to play as the witch from Wizard of Oz. To have this happen, the player has to choose female human mage. The character ends up looking exactly like the witch from oz wearing the same outfit. Unfortunately Margaret Hamilton(RIP) isn't around to voice the character as well. The staff will look exactly like the broom seen in the movie. It would be nice if the main character could use the staff/broom to fly to another location instead of using a horse. If not, at least be able to craft the outfit for the main character.

Oh! Yes please! I've always wanted to cackle and go "I'll get you my pretty!" As combat-banter.
And maybe there could be a spell that lets us turn people into frogs!! I've wanted that since the first time I heard Alistair go: "Zap and it's frog-time!"
Maybe one of you moders can use your awesome powers of moding and conjure one up? Pretty please...

I saw "The Greatest Jagras" quest pop up on Twitter earlier, and it reminded me that Monster Hunter: World's variable-sized monsters were a neat idea. For example, the average monster you'll run into might be ~80-120% of the baseline, but with a rare chance (outside of a quest) of running into an adorably tiny (~20-40% size) or an intimidatingly large version (~180-200% size), with the power to match. No idea if something like that is feasible for DA, but I thought it was a nice way to add some variability to these encounters.

I like it. But I wouldn't want to kill cute tiny creatures. Maybe we could feed them or capture them and have them as pets around Skyhold... Err... whatever HQ/base/camp we'll get in DA4. Imagine having an entire flock of little dragons running around, setting fire to things, annoying NPC's.
Also, on the note of monster. I really, really want fancy pants trophies. For example, if I kill a dragon I get its skull as decoration for the camp/castle/whatever. Or maybe a statue? Heck, even a small statuette on a shelf would suffice. But in this case, big is always better.
