I saw "The Greatest Jagras" quest pop up on Twitter earlier, and it reminded me that Monster Hunter: World's variable-sized monsters were a neat idea. For example, the average monster you'll run into might be ~80-120% of the baseline, but with a rare chance (outside of a quest) of running into an adorably tiny (~20-40% size) or an intimidatingly large version (~180-200% size), with the power to match. No idea if something like that is feasible for DA, but I thought it was a nice way to add some variability to these encounters. Tiny dragons!

So it probably has been mentioned (maybe even by me) and it is a little funny, but with playing Star Trek Online today for the first time in a very long time...body sliders...that is all.

If the game takes place in tevinter, I wouldn't mind recruiting an escaped/former slave to the party. She/he also can't speak because her/his master cut out their tongue. For a loyalty mission, track down the master. What happens to him is left up to the slave, though the main character can give a suggestion. Something similar to what is seen in DA2 with Fenris and Aveline.

Recruiting a former slave, okay I get that. But one that's specifically mute because he or she was mutilated by their former master?

Plot twist: The slave was mutilated because they used to be a serial killer, and when you confront their former master they reveal that they never intended to have a slave, but felt that person was deserving of the treatment they got.

A mute companion could be interesting, honestly. I wonder if they'd resort to "(Wildly gestures at the apples!)" as the dialogue, or if they'd just leave it up to you to actually watch them and guess with PC dialogue choices? lol Wrong guesses get you varying levels of disapproval. It'd be a minigame. lol
They'd have to be able to write, though. So you can receive sarcastic notes from them post-conversation if your guesses were completely stupid or irritating. Like "Were you born this dumb or was it a hard won result of practice?" You know, the things you already mostly knew they were thinking when you replied, but just confirmed for you.
It'd save on the voice acting budget~

Do you know this? I have played a Warden-Commander that you like very much and the Keep can rebuild this WorldState? I made a re run with an Orlaisian Warden and he did so much fun to play. the epilogue was somewhat contradictory (one the one hand, everyone loved and rely my Degenhard as well the Wardens, on the other hand they did not like my Warden nor the Order xD) but nevertheless.
I wish Bioware will reintroduce the Orlaisian Warden, because this Warden is much more like the Champion and Inquisitor. Less complicated to care about diffrent playthroughs. The Origins Warden is a nightmare for the EA Devision Bioware.

Just another commentary on the marketing. I hope they are clear and unambiguous about what is going to be in the game. At launch they should cover the hot button issues and make them clear. Like:
SP only:
Blah blah blah.
Live service:
Blah blah blah.
Etc.

Just like with Anthem. I imagine Bioware themselves has no idea what the game is going to be. Oh DA4 is not looking so hot right now. This post right here is why BioWare needs to be crystal clear in their messaging. When BioWare is only very clear, apparently people get confused. I don't think I am confused. I don't care about their clearity, words are just that... words, they can tell me that they are super aware of what DA4 is going to be, well, between you and me. They said the same about Anthem. That said. My "bias" is not going to affect how I perceive the game once it is released... if it is actually good then I will gladly swallow previous words and say so. I don't stand to lose anything by being skeptical and a constant critic. It is just what happens when your sole goal in life is not to win every single argument on the internet... people could learn from that. Also, this is my last message here... I might be derailing the thread.

I want third person perspective. All the time. Unless the first person perspective actually brings something to the story, then I'm okay with it. But I do prefer third. I also want STORY. I just finished the main story arc in Anthem. I like what I've seen but there's so little of it. It's like they released a first draft or something. But playing it and trying out Freeplay gave me hopes that some kind of multiplayer DA 4 could actually work. So, please, please pretty please BioWare, focus on giving us a rich story, driven by choices that actually has some impact and fallout. Amazing characters that we can fall in love with, and let us explore the beautiful and dangerous world of Thedas. I know you can do it. I've seen glimpses of brilliance in Anthem and I know you can bring that to DA 4. The magic is right there, waiting to happen. By the Maker, crack on and create it! Maybe there will be cake later. Or celebratory Mojitos.

Hm... My wish list.
Non-linear Missions/Quests
Vampire: The Masquerade offered non linearity in both dialogue and core design. It allowed the player to approach a situation or scenario in a number of ways. Oddly enough, it's a first person RPG as well. It would be great if DA4 had multiple solutions to a quest in its SP campaign.

And honestly playing games like Andromeda and DA 2 I lose... little by not being able to control what my companions use. Even inquisition heavily implies what the companions should be using.
