That's the Asari Ark speech, first thing after the Salarians' is them trying to shut your mission down. Whatever Ark you save first gets the same speech I think, if you go to Tanns office after the Salarian ark they try to shut your mission down. Kind of irritates me as I want to go to Tann for a different mission but don't want to start the meridian stuff yet. Yes certain things are clearly meant to be done in a set order. |

I've always done it last in my previous playthroughs but decided to change it up this time. Its not game breaking or anything I can clear whats his face for murder afterwards, but I want all the pathfinders backing me and still getting shut down. Well now I know for future runs do it after you find all the pathfinders at the very least. |

Actually, I think not supporting Ryder going for Meridian makes more sense early on, since at that point outposts aren't well established and the arks still haven't been recovered. It makes less sense to oppose it once all the arks are recovered and the outposts are coming along nicely. When you're barely surviving as it is, poking the hornets' nest is probably not a good idea. But, once you have a decent foothold, the only way to make sure you keep it is take out the local bullies.
