I do like the escalating disgruntlement is this thread...
"I played it twice..."
"I only played it once..."
"I only played it 4 hours"
"I bought it and sold it without playing it..."
"I bought it just to bury it under radioactive dirt..."
It's rather amusing

It's obvious a good amount of BioWare fans on this forum weren't thrilled with game even with the completed patches so hopefully they get something they like Anthem or DA4.

Still technically on a playthrough, but after picking up HZD, I haven't been able to drag myself away, so Andromeda's been on the back burner ever since.
To be honest, the number of open-ended things that are not likely to get follow-up in a satisfactory way (books just won't do) does hamper enthusiasm to go back.

It took me about two and a half weeks to finish the game the first time, playing it a bunch from release day on.
I started a FemRyder playthrough sometime in May but never got that far and haven't yet gone back.

I started a FemRyder playthrough sometime in May but never got that far and haven't yet gone back. There were definite problems. I played two runs and half of a third before setting it aside for 7-8 months. On returning, without all that constant negativity shoved down my throat, I could simply play it for what it is. In the end, I'm left with disappointment that certain things aren't going to be tied up, or will have it done in a novel. Also, I like the fun loving, roguish type, so Ryder works for me, but I would definitely allow for growth into a more well-rounded character in a sequel.

I started my first playthrough on release and made it to just before the archon ship mission and quit playing until like, november. Finally finished it up a few weeks ago and started a second playthrough. Currently on the angara planet, aya. May never leave that planet as I'm not sure I'll play it again. Which is a shame because my current Sara Ryder looks so much better than my original. =/
Currently in the midst of a Trilogy run. (Just before Virmire and Therum on ME1) I'm already having more fun in ME1 than the last time I played MEA. Maybe cause I can play renegade, unlike in MEA.

"BioWare" encompasses a great deal more to most people than just Andromeda. I came here because I love BioWare. The first game I played of their's was Baldur's Gate and I've played all their RPGs since then and loved most of them. I would like to clarify that I don't think Andromeda is a BAD game. It's just not comparable to what I know BioWare is capable of. It's like when Robert De Niro chose to make a stupid ass film where he plays Anne Hathaway's intern. And as if that wasn't bad enough, imagine that the film was called "Taxi Driver: Madison Avenue". On the bright side, I hear Bungie are building an echo-chamber you might like.

I tried to start another run but got rather instantly bored. A first with any Mass Effect game. I still play ME2 and 3.
Oh, I had my fun when it first came out. Did my playthrough and another + playthrough. But that was about it. I'm pretty sure, a DLC would have changed that. New content, new things to try out. Maybe a new outcome. I guess the knowledge of already having seen it all, kills it for me.

I ditched that game within the first 2 weeks I think. I loved the planet exploration but the characters weren't interesting enough, they just felt like copy and pasted version of shepards squad.

Fuck yeah, I will bitch and moan, after a half a decade and 70 bucks later they insulted me with a half-assed pre-alpha game, with the effort put in the worth of a grilled cheese sandwich. I'm not afraid to express my gratitude by putting in hundreds of dollars and thousands of hours in BioWare games that are worth it, and I will also give voice to my negative impression when I get let down by a teenage-level, try-hard-funny, half-done, pile of boring bugs. Excuse me.

Playthrough #2. PS4 version sucks. Frostbite audio streaming is crap in both this and Inquisition with load-times in banter and conversations. Not good enough for me. I'm trying on pc again. Better graphics at lower resolution and high heat. Slightly less comfortable but looks more like the target render and slick cinematic depth of field.

Across the board there have been complaints about the story and the characters themselves......issues that patches could not fix... No, I scrapped all my plans of further playthroughs when they announced that no SP additional content was going to be released. Thanks to EA's questionable management Andromeda ended up being the only Bioware game that I played only once. Oh, and feel free to count me among the "disgruntled people" if you will.

Trying a second playthrough. Honestly don't know how it'll go for me considering one of the only things that made the game bearable for me the first time was the glitches that let you get unlimited resource points, (I liked the remanant armor and never could come anywhere close to getting enough remanant research points on my own to get that armor to X) the glitch that let you level up as high as you could go (I'm picky about having all the powers available to me as soon as possible) and the glitch that let you sells things and get double back. (Never seemed to make any significant cash without it) So yeah, glitches.

Excuse me. Agreed...nobody is hating on Andromeda because it is the "cool" thing to do. Across the board there have been complaints about the story and the characters themselves......issues that patches could not fix... Andromeda is the first ME game where I've seen folks say that they will never play that game again, or that the experience was boring or lacking, yet these same individuals will also say that they can play the trilogy countless times even knowing the outcomes because the experience, the story, the characters and the journey itself is a blast to play. This is the reason why I can't really play it again. I don't hate the game, not by any stretch. I remember being really excited hearing about it at first but I quickly came to realize that while having all this potential....it didn't live up to it. I once thought that ME:A felt the same to me as ME1. But Clips points out something here that makes me realize - despite how bad the combat in ME1 is or how horrible the Mako was and the planet "exploration" that came with it, I can still go back and play ME 1 as part of a trilogy run when I feel like doing one. Still can't play ME 1 more than once a year (only like....10 runs of ME 1 compared to the countless times I've played 2 and 3. Seriously, I lost count after my 20th play through of both) but I can still go back and play ME 1. I'll get that desire to do so and yes, once I hit Noveria, I'll be like, "Ugh....half way there....", but that's more due to the combat system than anything. The story still keeps me coming back. Even with knowing the ending will let me down in 3, even though I know all the twists and the obvious betrayals, the OT got better with each game. Had Andromeda lived up to that potential, I think I could see myself playing it again now and then. But after having no desire to really want to replay it after finishing it, I do begin to question if even new single player content in DLC form would want me to play it again. As was said, Andromeda felt like it was lacking something. I know some compare the squad as "copy/paste" of Shep's squad, but that's an unfair comparison because in ME 1, we were walking in blind about any of these new experiences. By now, we know the lore and we know all about the turians/krogan/quarians/etc. already, so the characters felt flat for another reason (except Liam....while his mission was hilarious, I just....it was like they tried too hard to get everyone to like him). As much as I liked Cora, even she was really one dimensional, unless you pursue a romance with her, which is really sad. It shouldn't take someone pursuing something with them to show they're more than just a one dimensional character. It's still not a bad game; it's average. Not horrible by any means, and those that are hating on it to hate, well, that's their decision. I'd still say to anyone that has yet to play it to try it. I would tell them what to expect fully though before diving into it, but I'd still encourage them to try it and make their own decision about it. However, for me, I'd probably rank it below ME 1 now on my scale. Maybe it was the story just being dull or uninspiring. I have my own thoughts and reviews on it, but this is the wrong thread for that. Am I glad I played it? Sure; just to experience it and see if it lived up to the potential it had. Sadly, it didn't. So no, I can't see myself playing it ever again.

I did a completionist playthrough when it was released and once more about a month ago with a bunch of mods and a save from someone that reached max level, so I can just use whatever skill I want, and I'll probably do it one more a year from now.
