A third playthrough is planned, I'm just not sure when I actually get the time. It took me almost 2 months to play through Deus Ex:HR instead of the allocated (usual) 2 weeks, so its probably around new year when I finally get around to that.

Just started my second playthrough 2 weeks ago, I enjoy it more than the first, in part thanks to the mods, and not expecting a "conventional" Mass effect game

Starting my first ever playthrough soon! Reviews, previews and initial reactions turned me off when it came out, but now I see on various forums numerous threads popping up where people claim it's a really good game (after all those patches). It's gonna be rough, because I got used to less-cinematic games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne, but god, I really should play it already, I waited so long for new ME game.

On most game forums I read these days the amount of hate/complaints is shocking compared to the amount of people who make it clear they enjoy the games that the forums are about. I see the same here. People love to bitch, moan and complain, and they do here too. Bioware are an especially easy target for them too. Fuck yeah, I will bitch and moan, after a half a decade and 70 bucks later they insulted me with a half-assed pre-alpha game, with the effort put in the worth of a grilled cheese sandwich. I'm not afraid to express my gratitude by putting in hundreds of dollars and thousands of hours in BioWare games that are worth it, and I will also give voice to my negative impression when I get let down by a teenage-level, try-hard-funny, half-done, pile of boring bugs. Excuse me. Yeah but you could move on.

Excuse me. Agreed...nobody is hating on Andromeda because it is the "cool" thing to do. Across the board there have been complaints about the story and the characters themselves......issues that patches could not fix... Andromeda is the first ME game where i've seen folks say that they will never play that game again, or that the experience was boring or lacking, yet these same individuals will also say that they can play the trilogy countless times even knowing the outcomes because the experience, the story, the characters and the journey itself is a blast to play. During ME3 ending catastrophe, I’ve heard people say they won’t play ME again.

Yeah, it was pretty entertaining actually. I'll admit, if ME3 kept its old release ending, I'd probably not bother with the game again, because I really do hate it. Post-EC? I can live with that just fine. BioWare is accused of never listening, but they at least did in that instance enough to keep the game alive for me

But it did add one of the funniest scenes in the trilogy, the what-the-crap evac scene. Would I have the same number of playthroughs if there was no cut? Not sure.

Like Mass Effect Andromeda, ME3 was supposed to be a Holiday 2011 release but was pushed back a quarter and, per details that has emerged since, they really ran out of time per EA-imposed release window of their Q4 2011. Releasing the "EC" rehabilitates the game's reputation somewhat but, if the released the game with the EC endings initially, it would have had a much better reception.

The evac scene didn't really have that much an effect on me, mainly because we already know something like that happens, just off-screen. I guess it's problematic in that it doubles down the whole everyone ditching Earth and jumping on the Normandy for no good reason. Like, if Kaidan is around, he has his biotic squad somewhere. Did he just....leave them? Imagine how much better it would have been to see our known allies fighting on the ground, and the wave passes over them, and its EMS-effect determines their fate right then and there.

Yeah, I took that scene the same way...one last scene with the love interest to say goodbye. As for the "allies fighting" around them, I think the scene where every species you recruited enters via the Sol Relay to retake Earth and battle the Reapers was supposed to represent that idea but I agree it would have been more impressive if they showed your allies fighting around you as fought your way both to the Thannix Missile Battery and at the beam run. The "Priority: Earth" battles felt pretty empty.

No doubt the ME2 crew got screwed in that deal...at least you got Holo-Jack telling you how laid you were going to get after it was all over. Steve and Samantha were never in playable squad so I can see how it would be difficult to justify their presence at the beam run and Jack was leading her Biotic students in the support capacity as well. I think they could have worked Miranda into the post-Priority:Horizon activities as a temporary crew member that could have joined you on the assault on the Cerberus Base, Priority:Earth and the beamrun...definitely a missed opportunity there.

Having such a big roster in the end made it a bit unmanageable anyway. I was happy just to get those goodbyes via holo for the ME2 team. I do think it would've been a great deal better if everyone was at the same base you start off in.

I don't see a problem why Sam or Steve couldn't be in the hangar as the door opens when Shepard gets there to say a few words. Jack and Miranda I can understand, though it wouldn't be that hard. Have them in the area and run towards the Normandy when they see it approach the beam. Had ME3 been given more time, that might have happened

i'm doing a PT now ( might be my 5 th or so since launch ) , on and off. I play a couple hours and then it can be a week before i resume. I rush through some parts- like avoiding Voeld as much as possible, hate that planet - i'll just go back for the Periphona remains so i can do Cora's mission.

I ran the game for the first time on my new One X. Had to recover my savegame from the cloud and redownload addons, and noticed I hadn't played since October.
The lag after exiting the research menu got fixed! But now sometimes the Squad will react to a Hostile and stay that way indefinitely. I could travel to the other side of the map and the game would still tell me I was in combat, which makes it impossible to talk to people. That kinda sucks. Other than that I think this was my second playthrough, had to remind myself where I was at in the progression. All arks rescued, and just before the fight to Meridian which I'm holding off while completing loyalty missions. But what I like most is playing around with the gunplay. Putting burst fire on the Crusader and testing how crap it is. Then putting auto fire on it and suddenly it's a beautiful thing. How Ryder automatically ducks into cover when you approach it, absolutely LOVE that mechanic.
I'm just sad again cause I'm reminded there won't ever be DLC content to be excited for, or that the game isn't even supported at all. This makes me want to compare EA with Zenimax. When Andromeda released incredibly buggy they didn't even try to do damage control and move on, they outright scrapped it. ZOS on the other hand with Elder Scrolls Online? That game is years old and is FULL of bugs that the community to this day complains about, but at the same time the community loves the game too and ZOS has continued to work on it as well as bringing along new content to release on a set annual schedule.

I loaded up after the character creation patch where they added another preset. Played for a bit and thought "Meh I already have a completed save, I'll just wait for the DLC..."
I uninstalled the day they announced no DLC
