I went into it with incredibly low expectations and they still managed to disappoint. Thought there could be the possibility of an additional small dlc for Diablo 3 announced, at the least. Perhaps similar to the Necromancer but with the Druid but oh well, I have no interest in a mobile game, I don't even have a phone.

Perhaps similar to the Necromancer but with the Druid but oh well, I have no interest in a mobile game, I don't even have a phone. It would be great to have something along the lines of the Necromancer DLC/Expansion again, but at the same time I don't want it announced too early otherwise that is all you are going to see people talking about and building up hype to the point when it finally is released it falls flat. I think with the Necromancer content it was a short period of time between the announcement and the release so maybe a few months down the road there will be something new. I am happy with where Diablo 3 is systems wise and nervous of any big update or sequel will run into the same problems as The Sims or Destiny where things I consider key for the experience are removed because of how the development cycle worked out. I have very little interest in the mobile version of a Diablo title as well, but I have signed up for notifications so I can see what it is like and then completely trash it for I don't bash games until I actually play them.

The devs etc said over and over that there is other Diablo stuff in the making, but I think how they announced this mobile version, and that it has lore + the fact they put it in the slot for blizzards biggest hype slot for blizzcon and people are desperate for news of the other stuff they declined to give .. maybe blizzcon or at least that slot was a very poor marketing choice. overreaction to it, yeah obviously - that is human nature. Humans tend to react negatively or positively overdone - type right away then go and sit back and think after the fact. So yes, all those shitting on humans for being humans is , well, hilarious.
It will more than likely be a heavily monetised game , which is the fear I see most about the negativity reasons.

The recent mobile game announcement went poorly.... People are over-reacting to it. Blizzard decided to partner with another company release new Diablo content because people won't shut up about it, now those same people are upset that they aren't getting what they feel Blizzard should give them. Its not for me, but I still have Diablo 3 to play, just like for the 12 years between Diablo 2 and Diablo 3 I could still play Diablo 2. It doesn't help my point of view when someone uses the title "Blizzard goes full EA" either, for it really feels like "give us everything, but only the everything we want" point of view. You worried about your investment portfolio? About every other post of yours I read is defending some mega-corp. It is, curious.

This is all good.
Gaming as an industry is cyclic, and we have come back to the shittiest part of the cycle.
Some people roll their eyes, because they just don't care that much or are just heavily medicated, I dunno you'd have to ask Sanunes.
The vast majority of the rest of us, actually have feelings about how wrong we are being treated by the industry.
R* triple dips. Biowerpls. Diablo-Gate.
These things are bringing this cycle to a close. Finally. The industry has gone mad, and needs a firm redirect.

Blizz had to of known this wouldn't go over well. Perhaps they were showing it off to potential investors and are willing to take the heat for doing it there. Want to know how it went? watch Blizz stock price on Monday. If investors find the announcement favorable stock prices will probably climb, if not they may fall. That is what Activision really care about.

It's easy to speak for the majority, when the majority is actually unified. Most gamers think this release is a shameful cash grab attempt, and that it ignores what the consumer's actually want. How is that a positive business model? Triple-A, alive today. Days are numbered though... The point about the dev's admonishing the crowd, "you all own cellphones?" was well-taken. As is the collusion between YT/Google and Activision/Blizzard removing downvotes and negative comments from the trailer comments. We are nothing to them but chum around the whales. Only an idiot prefers to play games on his/her phone when there is a larger, better screen to play it on. However, Google wants you to play more on your phone. The ISPs want that too. So, let's please the corporate overlords, they are all that matter. Triple-A is a dying corpse. Edit: also, this thread is a solid breakfast food -

I'm surprised Blizzard hasn't justified their reupload and the scrubbing of downvotes as circumnavigating "Russian bots"

What gets me is that Blizzard revealed beforehand they'd have some news at Blizzcon. Hardcore Diablo fans and predominantly PC gamers shell out 200 dollars to attend the event, waiting with bated breath, hearts in mouth, handkerchief in hand. Then they pull this shit. Then afterwards said "we weren't expecting this kind of anger".
I will say that trying to bring in a new audience with Diablo on mobile is not too bad of a business move, but this new audience wouldn't be at Blizzcon. Their old audience is at Blizzcon, and their old audience are attached to their PC. I want to have a look at the face of the moron at Blizzard who thought this was a good idea.

It seems like Activision is becoming more and more intrusive in what Blizz does lately. I'm not a fan of Diablo, but I feel for fans who have been waiting for a diablo 4 or even a remaster of it and instead get a Mobile game. Between the questionable designs in BFA and now this, Blizz is certainly feeling the heat lately. ON the bright side, I loved the two cinematics released for WoW. Blizz has no equal when it comes to in-game or out of game cinematics and story telling, imo. I think Vivendi was even more intrusive so altogether we're in better position now. As for Diablo immortal, yeah, disaapointment of course but I look upon it as I would the comics, netflix series or whatever else side projects they have. Strange that they had it as premium showcase though. It must be for the asian market primarily. I have signed up so far, but when will I play it? I mean at home i have my PC. I drive to work. I don't know. We will see.

Blizzard's dodgy "PR stuff" starts at 5:50. People have confirmed using socialblade that over 100k dislikes have been removed, and people are astonished because no one thought it was possible. Simultaneously they are also disgusted at the lengths companies will go/dive and are like "fuck AAA"

The manipulation of YT numbers... That's false advertisement and/or fraud. They should be sued.
