Oh, one more thing. On a more positive note, the game runs very well on Steam Deck. Most websites that have guides suggest you use Lutris but you actually don't need it. You can just get the lates GE Proton (8-4 for me) for Steam through ProtonUP and then use Steam to install the BattleNet launcher and run it. The game does chew through my battery really quickly though, I can only play for maybe an hour before I need to plug it in. But otherwise, it works great. I set the UI scale to maximum in the game settnigs, so it's a bit easier to read item descriptions and such when I do inventory management but even that is no problem.

This is a complaints post of what I find most lacking in Diablo 4 so far and it has some small story spoilers. I am currently in the second act, and we just finished the main quest line. Now we are grinding through the side quests and strongholds before moving to next act. I am not paying attention to builds or game mechanich balance issues here. I am a bit bummed that the end of the Act bosses don't feel that special. I've finished Acts 1 and 2 so far. While game in general feels good, it really lacks in wow-moments so far. Okay, I admit that there was a bit effort in the second act boss, but in the end taking the boss down took less than 10 minutes and no wipes at all. Transition between the acts is also annoyingly unnoticeable.
I've also grown bored and numb with the gory details, you can't keep throwing blood and bowels to us every two seconds and expect us to be horrified. Yeah, I got it Blizzard, you got shit thrown at you last game for not being gory and dark enough. Shoving a dude in an ironmaiden for punishment, chaining a skinless man hooked on bdsm or hanging a living torso in a tree among dozens of other details proves that you got the message. You can take it easy now. Also, the game is too easy. I have zero fear for any of the enemies, be it mobs or mini-bosses. I think I've died five times altogether now.

It's definitely a more casual ARPG targeted at a less hardcore audience. The people who are more min maxxy ARPG players have been saying it's not as much for them.

I'm kind of enjoying D4. The moment-to-moment gameplay is pretty solid, the mechanics are suitably deep with a lot of systems to keep me interested. I'm finding the difficulty challenge about right, but then I'm not one of these super leet uber hardcore meta minmaxers with God-like skillz and lightning reflexes.
What I'm not particularly liking is the forced multiplayer aspect. I'm an antisocial bastard who wants to play solo. I don't want to see other players running around, I don't want to face off against a group of monsters, only to have a big, bouncing, idiot with a name like XXKilleRougeHawtQT come storming into the middle and mow them all down before I can get a look in. I get that other people love the multiplayer aspect and enjoy playing with their friends, but I do not I'm a sad, miserable, solo-playing, cantankerous old git and they can damned well get the hell of my lawn!
