How much is Mass Effect 1 going to have to be changed to be adapted to the big screen?

Actually a TV movie could work. Turn it into a mini series. Best way to get the story across.

It depends. All of his movies are B movies period. I didn’t even know he did some of those movies. Didn’t even know a Far Cry one exists. Of the “video game” movies I’ve only seen Street Fighter( man that stunk), Mortal Kombat (meh), both Angelina Jolie Tomb Raiders, and the Resident Evil ones. I actually enjoyed the Tomb Raider and RE ones.

I am not sure if it has been said BUT I think that for time reason, they would need to combine Liara and Tali into the same character. The ME trilogy has way too many people in it to make sure that all companion have as many screen time as fans want.

in the same universe, yes. adapting Mass Effect(1,2,3 or Andromeda) with their respectives heroes, Nope.


For example, developing a new character with a smaller cast would be ideal. I would have Michelle from Fast and Furious as an ME1 Ashley Williams style Alliance Marine.

Conversely if we had a "canon" Canon Shepard due to each version of shepard howbeit capable, do have their own outlooks and playstyle, that piss off fans to have a fixed canon Shepard, given how Mass Effect is set up. Even with my con current Mass effect Fantasy games works best without Shepard being overt in it. Regardless if it is set in the Milk Way or Andromeda, both galaxies are large enough to have many heroes similar how MCU works. Your Shepard will and is different from mine. Guess what, it is perfect that way. Also people are attached to Ryder as well, it is alright to be attached to him.

Well If there was a Mass Effect movie or tv series, using Shepard or Ryder will be a bad idea but Paragon  Lost(I can't judge for I haven't seen it) was in the right in using a fixed Hero within James Vega. A Fixed hero will work better than Shepard or Ryder within either.

Personally I prefer more games that are either con-current or post to both Shepard and Ryder.  I would like to see a Reaper War Era Mass Effect with a Volus hero because as of right now, I am in a lolzy mood right now and lets face it volus are a funny race. Thus Volus kicking ass would be funny as hell and cool as well.  

A question to those that watched it, "Will I lose brain cells if I watch Paragon Lost due to its quality?"  Personally I would have a healthy balance of more games and quality games than a movie or T.V. series for Mass effect.

Agreed. I would want a Shakarian arrangement, and that would never happen. We would end up with John Shepard x Ashley or John Shepard X Liara if this movie were to happen. No thank you.

I'm not opposed to a well-made Mass Effect movie or series, but Shepard shouldn't appear in it. A First Contact War movie or series could be really interesting and would be accessible to people not familiar with the games, since the human characters are getting introduced to everything along with the viewer. 

So I've  heard.  I'm somewhere early in S1 right now but don't have a lot of time to watch.
