Your first ever Gold/Plat solo!

My first ever gold solo was unsurprisingly with this guy. It was against Rippeduns on Giant. Successful on the second attempt ( I would have been successful on the first attempt if it hadn´t been for a disconnect ). The only other thing I remember: high adrenalin levels that got only higher the farther the solo progressed.

I hate solos and only did them for BOTB as it was one of the few challenges left.

Don't remember a lot about them, except GT, Reapers and Giant were involved.

Three attempts. Failed the first, succeeded the next 2.
In reasonably good times, considering (about 50 mins each).

Still not interested in doing a Plat solo

I hate soloing in general, but I did complete gold solos for BotB on both profiles. I've done four gold solos on six attempts. I have attempted plat solos twice - one with a late wave sync, the other a mission successful but failure to extract.

Attempt two: GI Claymore vs Cerb on Reactor: mission fail, phantom stab during res. Tried to replicate Spec7er's solo.

Attempt one: MQE Arc Pistol vs Geth on Hydra: mission fail
Attempt two: TSent Arc Pistol vs Geth on White: mission successful
Attempt three: MQE Arc Pistol vs Geth on Hydra: mission successful

PC (Plat)
Attempt one: TSol Raider vs Collectors on White: mission fail
Attempt two: GI Talon vs. Reapers on White: mission successful, missed extraction

I'd like to complete one Plat extraction, but I don't want to mod objectives or use flamer/dot cheese. It's just a matter of finding a good amount of time to sit and slog it out.

When I started playing, I played on my own most of the time. I was on my brother's account, so there was already some stuff unlocked, also something known as the Krogan Vanguard and the dark lord So, most of my games were Glacier/Geth (anything else would sync kill me)/Bronze, always (except the first two games) without equipment though.
From time to time, I mixed in a silver solo, same conditions.
When I got more comfortable with the game, still pretty much only playing Reegar Kroguard, I went for a gold solo at some point. I don't remember anything for sure anymore, but with a probabilty of 99,9% it was Geth/Glacier/Gold with a Reegar Kroguard I'm pretty sure it was sub-30 but I guess that ain't too impressive considering the circumstances.
This is one of my setups that I use if I get frustated with my current attempt, completing a not-so-cheesy gold solo.

So yeah, there was a lot of Reegar and Kroguard in my first year of playing this game, it was only when I started completing all challenges that I got to know other characters and see there are other ways to play this game.

First ever Platinum solo was Acolyte Geth Trooper on Giant vs. Reapers. Wasn't pretty, took about an hour, with a scrub setup, but had to pop the cherry on the plat solo somehow. Don't remember my first Gold solo, though I think there's a reasonably high probability it was a melee Kroguard, probably vs. Geth.

When I first started playing ME3MP, I didn't want to burden other players with my utter cluelessness, so I spent a week (!!) soloing bronze with the Juggernaut armed with a Crusader (both unlocked in my "welcome to the game, new player!" packs, I don't remember what they were really called).

My two gold solos were the KroGuard with incendiary Reegar on White vs. Geth, and TGI Harrier on Giant vs. Reapers. I'm not proud of that, but it got the job done.

I haven't attempted a Plat solo and probably never will; to me it sounds like having a 60-minute cortisol drip. Kudos to those who do it though, your skill and patience are well beyond mine.

I think I can go one better. I was kicked from the first Bronze lobby I entered, a week after the game's release, so I put away MP for several months until discovering that there were solo challenges. I started with the HE, and can remember the first time I managed to earn wave 3 credits. I was lucky enough to unlock a Krogan Soldier and Graal early on (the only time the Store has ever been kind to me) and had solo'd Reapers on White before I ever searched for another lobby again, having played on my own for at least a couple of months. I also solo'd Silver before pugging that level. I don't have a competitive gene, but I genuinely don't want to suck and potentially spoil others' enjoyment.

First Gold solo was the Warlord with Adas against Geth on Giant. I've never used a Reegar on any Krogan other than the Big Idiot, but in those days I was more concerned with the ability to stagger at distance, so I went into battle without a Shotgun for probably the only time ever. I've done 20 more, all with different kits (Asari Valkyrie stands out as a highlight), but the reason I don't sport a BotB banner on my Alts is because I won't go through the hell of promoting ever again.

Hmm first gold and plat solos. Two stories, I'm not found of but maybe it is time to share those "dark" secrets...

Ok lets start with the my first and only plat solo. Sometime in early 2013 I set myself the goal to complete all minor challanges in the game at least once. Therefore I needed a plat solo and the newly released AIU seem to be my best chance to get it done. I did it, after the first 3 attempts ended all in Banshee hugs, on Giant vs Reaper armed with Wraith and Scorpion. It took something like 100 min or so (Dealing with 2 banshees on my own was a big problem for me) and I swore to myself to never try it again.

Now to the really shamefull part. My first 2 Gold Solos. In 2012 just after the challanges were released, there was a bit of an rush to unlock the first banner to show it off in the lobby within the group I was playing with then. And the Lone Wolf banner seemed to be the quickest one to unlock. But how cloud I hope to achieve that while I was barely capable to hold my own on gold in a full team and completly incapable to clutch even an easy Gold wave...
Well there was an Option... Glaicer vs Geth with a Kroguard and an Incindiary Reegar. (Don't know if it counts for anything but I didn't want to use 2 respec cards so I kept my melee build and brought an Omni-Blade which resulted in a few Melee-Medals.)
About an hour later I had a Lone Wolf Banner and an ethernal hate for the Dark Lord, who made possible what at that time shouldn't have been possible.


This Post should not end of that note so here are mentions of Gold solos 3 to 5:
In 2013 I wanted to know if I can solo Gold proberly. For the setup I used a theme going by the name "Whaler on the Moon" posted in the BSN. Batarian Sentinel with a Kishock on Condor vs Reapers. First try work but took 75 min... again those double banshees.
And later, than Prestacious posted his first solo challanges, I took part in the first two. That was fun but somehow I took an extended break from any solo run since than. Taking 3 swords in the belly in a single run may has something to do with that (The 3rd Phantom cheated and waited for the Opspacks invulnerbility to wear off before she stabbed me).

First Bronze solo was this lovely lady, I can't remember the equipment. I actually solo'd Bronze before I started joining quick games because who wants to play with a newbie 4 years after the game came out?

First Silver solo was with Hurricane GI vs Cerby and was pretty quick IIRC.

First Gold solo was with CLAYMOAR Sexbot vs. Reapers on Giant Hazard and took somewhere around 40 minutes because I was super cautious in the later waves.

First Plat solo was with Throwslinger!!!!!! Reapers/Giant Hazard and took 64 minutes. I got wave 10 targets and whiffed badly with my first two missiles on the first target because I was so nervous

Now I have an annoying amount of failed plat solos failed on extraction wave, some just seconds before the shuttle leaves, god that's annoying. If you're into it I'd recommend trying the N7 Challenge Series it's frustrating at times and a good challenge, but most of the solos are fun except for N6.III they suck right MPApr2012?

First gold was Krogan Warlord vs Geth Glacier.

First plat was Asari Vanguard vs Cerberus/Goddess. Almost quit video games over that combo because one attempt ended with a goon stomp special literally one second from extraction and I was a rage monster back then and also a serial keyboard/mouse/monitor murderer and wallpuncher. These days I'm far more chill and keep all my rage in game, thankfully.

My first Turian plat solo was the Fat Sentinel. I think he was the third plat solo I did. I wasn't experienced enough to handle that Turian for my first time, or so I thought. He ended up being unexpectedly smooth and gentle, though, on White/Geth. Love that Turian.
