Companions Lineup for Veilguard

Thought so. It's practical I guess given a smaller roster of companions. It's hard to offer everyone romances if some of the companions are 'just not into you' and removes a pile of arguments.

I think this is the first DA game I'll know all the companions before starting the game. Usually I tune out of the marketing before they unveil everyone so I know a few of them but not all. But I guess that shouldn't matter all that much - I knew for BG3 and it didn't affect my enjoyment of the game.

The companions seem fine, some of them we already knew thanks to the expanded universe. Davrin being possibly the first mlm KISA and an elf is the biggest monkey's paw ever lmao (sorry but that archetype is for humans, is just not the same for me) but he is hot and he is pretty much the only one that makes me legs feel weak in the present so I will problably go for him as canon romance. Also BABY GRIFFON!

I think we start with Harding as required companion and maybe Varric as temporary party member at the very beginning. Then we recruit the others and some might be optional. They did say our choices could affect their lives as well.

He's going to be an 'advisor' most likely. The fact that they placed him together with the other in the dragon picture makes it quite unlikely he'll have a really minor role in the game or that he'd die right away.

Is Varric the new Han Solo? Lets finally kill him or what?

I think there are good chances that Varric might die during the game, but I don't think it'll be early on.

The fact that it'll be so cliche, and that it seems very logical that the writers, given some of the things they did in the past, would kill him, makes me thing they might go in the opposite direction.

Besides Harding, I only like this Lucanis dude by looks alone. He's hot. But mage killer gives me Fenris PTSD. At least he's not an elf. Dragon Age has actually turned me into an elf hater, lol. Not touching an elf romance ever again. Fenris and Solas scarred me. Can't stand their whiny asses anymore. Sorry, Davrin. You're not ugly but you're an elf. Even if you're different, I can't do this anymore.

The qunari design seems even more atrocious than last time. Bull looked like somebody drove a truck over his face but this ain't any better. Still hate the big horns redesign. The qunari were so hot in DA2, sigh.

I would ultimately romance whoever is most likeable, I guess. Playersexual, if true, would help a lot, letting me change my mind at any moment.

Curious about more samples from the voice actors. Always an important aspect for me. I can easily be sold on a voice alone. Although that did not work out with Starfield... Changed my romance last minute, even though it doesn't get much hotter than Elias Toufexis for me, playersexual for the rescue!

Well, my expectations are below zero. If the writing sucks then I couldn't care less about the companions and romance options.
