Has nothing to do with that at all but more with your opinion. I can literally pull up some of your post about fallout 76 where you debate the game falling in line with its criticism based off of reviewers but you have NEVER excepted the same thing towards MEA. You just basically call the haters or the meme machine to garner views. I can keep going back further If you'd like... This literally proves my point. Thank you... Key word facts... the only fact you have stated is that there is a group of people that believe X is bad. You never once presented a FACT that X is bad. Opinion =\= fact. People constantly say this... but 2017 was a garbage ass year for games imo. What games were so much better than ME:A that ME:A isn't in the top 5? Pretty much the only games I would put above ME:A are Divinity Original Sin 2 and Xcom 2's expansion "War of the Chosen." The rest were either not that interesting to me or typical trash type games like AC (before Odyssey, it was great), Destiny, Fortnite, CoD, etc. In no particular order... Nier Automata Divinity Original Sin 2 Persona 5 Horizon Zero Dawn Breath of the Wild Nioh Cuphead Resident Evil 7 Edit: Forgot Hollow Knight Hmmm. I'll bite.
Played Nioh, for about 30+ hours but never finished it. I am into Dark Souls. I have 100% game completion for all including Demon's Souls on Playstation and 100% for Dark Souls 1 and 2 on Xbox. That is just a crazy amount of Dark Souls playthroughs. Nioh just isn't as good. Now I'm going to make some folks angry: I like ME:Andromeda more than Nioh by thousands of light years and I even enjoy it more than Dark Souls. They scratch completely different itches but Andromeda is more fun for me.
Divinity Original Sin 2 ... had to wait for the PS4 version because my PC can't run it so it wasn't even in contention in 2017.
Persona 5 ... played for like 5 minutes. I need to give it a fair shake for sure but in the world of personal taste it doesn't hold a candle to ME:Andromeda.
Horizon ... played for around 40 hours, got about mid way through the story and it just fizzled out for me. I would like to one day go back and finish it but it just isn't even in the same league or sport or planetary orbit as ME:Andromeda (to me). Also, almost every single facial animation in Horizon is worse than Andromeda's, the characters are much more shallow, there are no companions, and the story just isn't very compelling (in my opinion).
Have zero interest in the rest of the games on your list.
I feel like I live in some alternate dimension sometimes because I really do not understand the hate for Andromeda.
