While researching for Spectre Expansion Mod I stumbled across an old ME1 E3 video which displayed an old version of the galaxy map. On there was a demonstration star system called Caleston System, but the only planet description we see labelled the star as 42-518P. Well. I've just finished restoring the star system for Mass Effect 3! Here are some images from E3 video:And here are the images of the restored star system in ME3's Spectre Expansion Mod:I had to write 3 new descriptions for the 3 other planets as they were not known. I am also in the process of writing a mini-text adventure to explain the anomaly on the planet. I should also note that the star glows the wrong colour because there is an issue with ME3's galaxy map where it doesn't register the changing of a flare colour. I hope to one day find a way to correct that bug which Bioware should've spotted before release. If you're interested in the original E3 video, it's below:

About your mod, recommend to those who started the adventure now (I did palaven, omega and those missions of kazumi, blood pack, eclipse etc). I have EGM installed.

OMG I just love that E3 2006 trailer. Also this version: sil the galaxy map on the video is a mockup they put hastily together before E3 if I remember right. Caleston does exist in the game, but its different from this video as you already might know

Glad you're enjoying it. I recommend that people start the game fresh if they want to use the mod, but it will work at any point, just those who start later will end up with a barrage of content that won't flow as well as it should. When I first saw the trailer you posted, I thought I was onto another new E3 star system, until I saw Caleston. That soured it for me . It's interesting seeing the old trailers though, and seeing just how different it is. I found the same recently when I explored the ME1 tlk files and stumbled across text strings (and content) that never made their way into the core game of ME1. I do love digging into the history of games. I should've been an archaeologist

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the galaxy maps in both are very early versions, though sadly they're so much more beautiful than the galaxy map as we see it in ME2&3! Sounds like a cool mod. I wish Caleston had made it into ME1. The original Therum mission sounded a lot more interesting than what we got.
