Hello new dwarf thread! To distract everyone from fighting vertigogomez hopefully start some discussion: what are your favourite romances for each dwarf origin? I love Blackwall with Cadash, although I hear Sera is pretty cute with her, too. My Brosca stayed single, but I really like the idea of Brosca/Leliana even though I've never played it out. If I ever play another Brosca, I think I'll romance her. I ask because at some point I'm going to make another Aeducan, and I can't decide between Zevran and Morrigan. Alistair is not an option because this Aeducan will be a dude and I want the Keep to reflect my choices, so mods are out. I don't want to choose Leliana because I'm already planning the Ultimate Sacrifice ending, and one world state with sad Leliana in Inquisition is enough. Morrigan has some appeal because it would be extra sad to leave two fatherless children behind, but I feel like Aeducan might actually have more in common with Zevran. I mean, sure, Aeducan is a prince and Zevran grew up in a brothel and the Crows, but I feel like they would both know something about not having any choice in how you live your life until it's horribly derailed by stabbing-related incidents. On the other hand, can I cope with the idea of Zevran being sad because his beloved Warden died? I don't know! Oh come on, what's a tavern without a good brawl?  Anyway, favorite romances! It'd be Leli/M!Brosca and F!Aeducan/Gorim/Forever aloooone back in DA:O Bianca/Varric for DA II and Cassandra/M!Cadash for DA:I. Brosca and Leli because they both finally found happiness in each other's arms after much hardship and bitterness, Aeducan and Gorim because I'm a sucker for star-crossed lovers, Varric and Bianca 'cause Varric and Bianca and Cass and Cadash because they're both Andrastrians, they both have massive chip on their shoulder about their family and they're both fans of Varric's works, much to the latter's dismay.  Leliana/f!Brosca for me. Bull/f!Cadash in DAI (I haven't play it yet, though) And I love Varric/Bianca! Nice to see other people like her too. |

You could top that by going Aeducan, sleeping with Mardy, sleeping with Morrigan once while keeping Leliana warm on the side, dump them both, romance Zevran and then US. Two bastards, one destroyed plan for OGB, two passive-aggressive ex-girlfriends and one suicidal assassin! Delicious tears from everybody! Except Oghren. He would probably declare you Paragon for that. To be serious: I'm not really unbiased. I would romance Claudia Black's voice in RL! Thats why I never managed to pair my DAO PC, dwarven or not, with anybody else than Morrigan... and I regret nothing! In DA:I I've only managed one playthrough till now, so I can only compare the lovely Cassandra romance with what I've seen on YouTube. Based on that I would say either Cassandra or Dorian in DA:II... or... maybe.... Claudia Black's voice?!  |

Poor girl just cannot win - any achievement, any invention is erased by her being in the shippers' way. |

I love Brosca and Leliana, because they share a similar way of life. But, I don't know if the next game will beat my favorite pairing(Cadash/Cassandra). |

So, how many Provings do we have going now?  I don't have a problem with Bianca Davri, most of the criticism I see seems to assume that Varric isn't a big boy who is competent to make his own choices. She's pretty straight up with him about the situation; he could walk away and doesn't. Does she make big mistakes? Yes, but so have a lot of favorite characters. And at least she does try to repair them, even if it's a lot of closing the barn door after the horse is gone. Blaming her because the writers chose to use her to make sure Varric wasn't romanceable makes no sense... |

Kind of annoyed me when she randomly threatens to feed me my own eyeballs when I've been nothing but supportive to Varric and civil to her, though. :/ Like, lady, he was already my friend long before I met you so you can afford to throttle back a bit. And the fact that she seems to do it, not so much out of concern for him, but out of her own anger at herself/embarrassment made me want to at least get a chance to respond. Something along the lines of "Hey, don't take it out on me. You know you're the one who messed up." As a Varric/Cassandra shipper, I headcanon Bianca's husband to be a decent sort. Varric passive aggressively maligns him, but he doesn't really deserve it. So, she's not in the way, she's just got a different path. Here I thought you were a person of taste. Excellent taste, yes. I said I'd go to the Provings. Fight all fancy and everything. -- I think the big mistake people make with Varric/Bianca is not realising that they're still a couple. They're just a very unorthadox one. So Varric isn't pining over a woman who is married to someone else. He's her boyfriend. The sole reason Bianca is even married was to protect Varric (it's said that she only turned up to her second arranged marriage, and it's implied that was to keep Varric safe). To be honest, I've always felt like much of the vitriol Bianca gets is unwarranted. It doesn't help that she's in the way of any ship for Varric: Varric/Hawke? Bianca's in the way. Varric/Quizzy? Bianca's in the way. Varric/Cassandra? Bianca's still in the way. Poor girl just cannot win - any achievement, any invention is erased by her being in the shippers' way. I am not a huge Berserk fan (though oddly I *am* a huge Berserk Abridged fan >_>) but I am loving the use of Caska gifs here. lol  So much for being a person of excellent taste. (Naaaah, just kidding. My love for you and everyone posting in Tapster's is like a truck...Berseeeerker.  And thanks! I'm having far too much fun posting those Casca gifs, actually.) |

How are you posting gifs? I'm not used to this site and feeling like I should show some anime fandom pride and get some FMA around here.

Hello new dwarf thread! To distract everyone from fighting vertigogomez hopefully start some discussion: what are your favourite romances for each dwarf origin? I love Blackwall with Cadash, although I hear Sera is pretty cute with her, too. My Brosca stayed single, but I really like the idea of Brosca/Leliana even though I've never played it out. If I ever play another Brosca, I think I'll romance her. I ask because at some point I'm going to make another Aeducan, and I can't decide between Zevran and Morrigan. Alistair is not an option because this Aeducan will be a dude and I want the Keep to reflect my choices, so mods are out. I don't want to choose Leliana because I'm already planning the Ultimate Sacrifice ending, and one world state with sad Leliana in Inquisition is enough. Morrigan has some appeal because it would be extra sad to leave two fatherless children behind, but I feel like Aeducan might actually have more in common with Zevran. I mean, sure, Aeducan is a prince and Zevran grew up in a brothel and the Crows, but I feel like they would both know something about not having any choice in how you live your life until it's horribly derailed by stabbing-related incidents. On the other hand, can I cope with the idea of Zevran being sad because his beloved Warden died? I don't know! Well let me just slide on in here and proclaim my love for Cadash and Iron Bull & Cadash and Blackwall. As far as DAO, I like Brosca and Zevran & Aeducan and Leliana. |
