I was the leader of my region (Australia, NZ and a few other places) in kills and ships sunk when I played AC:BF. I killed IIRC over 140,000 enemies and sunk over 19,000 ships. Gotten less competitive and a bit soft these days. Only 35,965 kills and 966 ships sunk. Mmmmm must round those numbers up it bugs me
You must have a direct lineage to the first settlers. Carrying on some proud traditions I am joking, joking, I swear!
😆
My family are descendants of convicts, so maybe there was something sub-concious. 😜
Or maybe I just loved the game realised after playing so many hours I was in 10,000 of the leader and accepted the challenge and played 8hrs a day for months. 🤔😜
Just met the Deimos, my brother it turns out. Now I'm really damn curious what happens if you play as him instead. Also just found out, after 20 hours of getting my ass handed to me on Nightmare, that upgrading the spear is what unlocks other ability upgrades and more adrenaline. Fucking hell. I always do this in open world games- wander around doing side stuff when the main storyline usually has the most XP and crucial upgrades. While the writing can be clumsy the story and characters are without a doubt better than Origins. I'm sad this team is now working on the Zelda clone rather than another AC.

Yeah I was lucky to get tipped off re the spear early on. The other thing is if you can don't waste resources upgrading gear to often the stats on your gear only change like every 5 or ten levels or something like that.
I have never attempted Nightmare but the best build for playing a stealth assassin is the CRIT build and for me using Rush Assassination and Critical Assassination fully upgraded. It makes Melee more difficult but if you concentrate on Assassin stats and have Heroic Strike that can be a get out of melee jail card. If you pursue that then getting the Pirate set stuff from killing those particular cultists Gods of The Aegean Sea.
Alternately invest in Warrior and Melee resistances, elemental resistance and also get 100% chance to ignore half damage etc. and use the Greek Heroes Set.

So did the weekly yesterday which was a nice simple one for a change. Sunk the weekly ship easily enough and the game was kind and spawned lots of Athenian ships to sink, Went to one fort that had sixteen Athenian soldiers and killed them all which got me a final seal for for the Spartan General and I already had 3 for the Athenian guy so handed those in and got hopefully the last request to get 3 more for each of them.
Damn FRAPS didn't actually take my screenshots even though it said it did. I wonder if STEAM was running a back ground process or something.
So couple of random old pics, I literally chose them with my eyes closed!!!!
I love how reactive and unpredictable the world is. On multiple occasions my fights with bounty hunters have spilled into the streets, with guards attacking and killing them while I skulk in the bushes. Another time I was on a bounty where I had to kill 4 mercenaries. Just as I was approaching the camp, they were fighting a lynx who ended up murdering them all. The 'quest completed' icon flashed on the screen and I'm like:

I consider the spear being tied to skills to be a blunder by the development of the game. The first one at least for me was at a reasonable distance into the game and it was fine, but chasing down all the other members of the cult to get enough shards to upgrade it the final time was one large pain in the ass.

I agree with this. I guess all the new skills and skill points would be nice for NG+, but right now I'm not planning to do one of those.

It didn't really worry me at all TBH, I actually thought it was good to have an incentive/reward for challenging my self and taking on the Cultists even when I was a lower level.
In NG+ it's great as you can make yourself into a god.

Having done NG+++ It's great it allows you to be god like and invest in all the skills if you want to.

On my second boss boar fight and I finally realized why I hate the fucking pigs in this game. Their hitbox is borked. In certain attacks they're at least 2-3 in-game feet away from Kassandra, but the hit still registers. Their character model is smaller than the hitbox. I don't have an issue dodging anything else in the game but the damn pigs.

Mmmm maybe my memory is going but jumped in to do last weeks weekly and accepted the quests from the message board and it told me to sink 10 pirate ships, 10 Spartan ships and 10 Athenian ships but when I opened the quest it said i had already sunk of 8/10 of 7/10 and 7/10 but I haven't played since last weeks weekly?????
Then the daily I assume was to sink 5 Pirate ships and then without having even gotten on the Adrestia it changed to 4/5 already having been sunk?????
Well anyway it made for short quests so not complaining.

I've run into this before a few times too. It must remember ships that you had sunk previously, or... something.

It's weird though because the weeks before which is the only playing I have done was killing Athenians I think. Who knows but it's weird. 🤔

The AI took over covertly. Or you just went on a drunk rampage in the Aegean with no memories after. Happened to everyone of us, amirite?
