OK I get where you are at now, so yeah its fine do all the quests you get with her and Brasidas and for the Spartan kings, that's all good and necessary as part of the family and cultists quests. JUST DON'T do the meet your dad quest until you are finished those two branches - and all the Black and Gold Quest markers Oh so doing research on it just now I think it just clicked when you say black and gold quests you don't mean that they are two seperate quest markers but its the black and gold quests with the exclamation points...right? Christ I have to do them all to get the best ending. God dammit Ubisoft. It's not that bad some of them are hysterical, some are short and some are quite convoluted but yes the B&G exclamation marked ones. At a certain point I prioritised those over trying to clear everything in a location per se. FYI did you do all the quests for Xenia when you were on Naxos, I didn't realise till I finished that I'd missed her quests after leaving straight away with mum. Not to get the best ending but to get to the end. There are some that are superfluous like the ones for the Spartan General and Athenian General but most are story related or are necessary to find a cultist or Mythical Creature.

If I remember correctly there is an important Segway off those quests that reintroduces an earlier character. It was disappointing for me to do that after finishing the game. Her other quests send you looking for artifacts of the gods sort of stuff that she collects. Finding the location is the puzzle but I just googled it and then there some very minor quests at the end of each. I recommend doing them.

At least I did "daddy" last but it was jarring and I didn't like it at all. I'm pretending it didn't happen. Oh this is going to be ME 3 isn't it? Well it may be as confronting as the ME3 ending but I wouldn't put it in the same category.

Oh i do love the game m8, i love being a merc, i love exploring Ancient Greece, i love fighting for Sparta or Athems, i love wiping forts, i love sea battles an exploring with Poseidons trident, i loved hunting the cult an i loved fighting mythical creatures but that ending put me in a dark wee corner whimpering like a baby an it took me a coupla days to semi get back into the game an even then i had lost alot of enthusiasm to play. The main reason im still playing is i had bought a couple of armour sets before the end in anticipation of another PT an i'll be damned if i dont get some use out them 😁 Ah. Still anything about a game which subtracts from the desire to want to do another PT of said game would be a major flaw to me and I would always want to play a game again that I 'love'. Its funny I did forgot to mention during my 'journal on what I did today that I have lost all desire to do any of the conquest battles. Certain events in Attika and now Lakonia makes me really want to tell either side to pound sand and not really fight for either of them...or alternatively murder them all but I am still at least leaning towards Sparta but I/ my Alexios just does not care about doing any of the conquest battles anymore. And I doubt my Kass will either when I get around to playing her. Feck Sparta, feck Athens. It didn't make me not want to do another PT but I am definitely waiting for NG+ I also gave up on conquest battles as soon as I realised they had no impact on anything. simit I can never get a multi shot off in those conquest battles I am always getting attacked in Melee by someone.

Oh this is going to be ME 3 isn't it? Well it may be as confronting as the ME3 ending but I wouldn't put it in the same category. Yup. ME3 takes the cake for the worst ending. That's imo. AC Odyssey, the father quest, just leaves me wishing I didn't bother to find out what it's all about and that it never existed. It's bad planning and writing on the devs' part. I'm kind of hoping they would change it and Layla was experiencing a very bad animus's glitch or just plain hallucinating for being so long in the machine.

I have the Flaux of Olympus equipped. (think thats how you spell it) which grants +100% damage but caps your health at 25% an a bow with some draw speed bonus, it makes for some funny dodging manouveres cause i cant take alot of hits, normally 1 or 2, but i can 2 shot captains with a normal headshot an multi shot takes out about 6 - 7 in one volley so i normally finish a battle with over 80 soldier kills an always seems 4 captains which earns i believe over 80k xp for a few minutes work plus i always go attacking side for the x2 epic reward for materials. Flaux is great tbh i just forget i got it equipped sometimes an jump head first into the fight which normally lands me on loading screen but at lvl 64 it gives me 25k hunter damage an 164k assassination so yeah it a beastly engraving on it. Edit: Because of the dmg bonus an with hunter your always going for headshots you could engrave adrenaline on headshot or hit but i engrave crit dmg and chance an that seem to get plenty adrenaline back on them headshots to full my meter up to them fire more multi shot which i them volley of an the time the adrenaline finished i have a captain moving in on me who i headshot kill, get nigh full adrenaline an rinse/repeat the process, with multi shot it auto targets so just spam the buttom you assigned it to while running about like yer bums on fire

I thought the same m8 but you get used to it plus conquests really only time im out in open battle, rest of the time its stealth assassination or devastating shot, ghost shot from a distance so no really any threat an if stealth gets blown it normally easy enough to run an do a drax the destroyer

So a brief couple of notes: First of all I was checking through my side quest list and I discovered something interesting. First, that the character oriented side quests are below the region/ geographical side quests. I love RPGs. This is one part of the genre I love, no sarcasm, that you can be playing a game for 60 hours and still be discovering things for the first time. Point two....apparently I STILL missed a cultist in Attika. So shortly after a doing a few things I will indeed be going back to Attika. Second, I noticed that I have a SIDE QUEST where have to go find 'bio daddy'. On thera. Now while I suspect that finding him in actuality could be later in the family story is this the side quest people have been reffering to? I wasn't going to do it for a while in either eventuality, I have enough to do, but just would like some confirmation. Sorry for bothering everyone with this. Anyways I think I need about 10 APs before being able to complete what I want my build to be before I can get onto the mastery levels. I am on level 44. Honestly finding the tombs is about the only reason I would have at this point to do actual honest to god 'exploration' Soooo been mostly helping out the rebellion on Mykanos today. Despite the fact that I agreed with Thelatas plan I decided to go do Kyra's stuff first. As a note it might be a little annoying to me (I have mixed feelings) that that 'choice' seems essentially meaningless and you can do 'both sides', but then again this game has surprised me by pulling the wool over my eyes and then doing a nice twist. Anyways so in the process of helping out Kyra I bumped into Sokrates, his quest was fun. Go rescue a rebel he said, he murdered someone, stole, but he is a rebel...so I went to rescue the rebel, and he's kind of a jerk. Love Sokrates and I'm not even mad. After that I bumped into Kyra's..old nanny? and she pointed me in the direction of an abandoned house. In the house was a murder and a lot of blood, surprised the crime scene was preserved after all this time but I had the growing suspicion...which was right that evil cult dude was Kyra's father . So that's fun, I love the morality questions this game raises but on the flip side I wonder if there could be a deeper examination, especially...given Deimos. But this resulted me to go into the 'leader house' and I wanted to get in there stealthy, which didn't go too well. Almost killed Podrakes...and obviously I didn't want to yet...for reasons. Tried to get the doll once couldn't interact with it in combat, so I did my vanish trick, which worked. Back to Kyra with the evidence but before I could give her the evidence she had another quest for me. So I went down and did the quest and told her the truth and she was all like 'I need to be alone' but since I triggered the previous quest she very shortly started following me again...*sigh*. Anyways all that done I engaged in a wicked naval battle for Thelatas.

Looking for bio daddy starts the Atlantis quest. It's best done last for many reasons. For the most part, there are no NICE twists with Kyra/Thelatas (I've spelled his name so many wrong ways). It'll be interesting to hear how things turn out for you.

You can go there and meet him but you don't want to return with all the pieces of Eden and complete the Atlantis arc until the very end of the game, that is when it gets disappointing. The Kyra quest and related romances are probably the most convoluted quests of the game. I romanced Kyra and wanted to make sure it worked out so I actually googled what to do to achieve that. I got a good end result but I had to make Kassandra lie for the first time which left a bad taste in my mouth but it meant Kyra was happy!!!!! So

Maybe this is already old news but a little birdie told me that there is an update coming from Ubisoft for Odyssey in the next couple of days. At least before the tenth of this month i don't know if this also includes NG+ as well i hope so that little birdie was not sure about that though.

I picked this game up shortly after it released and loved the hell out of it. Then it got put on the back burner as I got distracted by other game releases and holiday events in what's currently my "main" game (Elder Scrolls Online). And now I'm back on the Odyssey kick again. I am sooooo far behind everyone else here, but I love it because it means I have SO much to do and game to explore. One funny but kinda irritating thing happened to me the other day, though. I saw a random side quest icon on the map and started heading towards it. When I got there, I found a soldiers' camp with bears attacking it. By the time I helped kill the bears, all the men were dead and the quest starter icon was gone. I mean, clearly, it couldn't be an important quest to have that chance of being taken out like that before even starting it, but... that was kind of annoying. LOL

LOL I think the game does a bad job of explaining quest icons. You can basically ignore all of the silver ones, they're radiant quests, and they'll appear again (I've seen one titled "There goes the neighbourhood" 3 times already). If you like exploring the map (like clearing the forts and military camps) then you should take quests from the notice board (those without an hourglass) over the random silver markers - they give you a lot of XP, and it's the stuff you are already doing, like kill X Athenian leaders. The bigger side quests that include some neat stories are marked with a golden exclamation point.

Yesterday I was running around in the game and saw two hourglasses in one place (I've been ignoring those these days), thought two in one place was interesting, and ran towards them, only to see a man and woman with hourglasses above their heads, get killed by linx (they didn't have a chance with linx, poor things) and the hourglasses disappeared, of course. Then rescued a prisoner from two thugs, who suddenly had an hourglass above his head, did his request and came back into camp and he was a prisoner again, even though no one else was in camp. Maybe he locked himself up to stay safe from linx.

Logged on did weekly an daily an got 65 which made me search to see if you could get daily/weekly reward on another character which took me to Ubi forums where they "talking" about the inclusiln of coloured ppl in the games setting which made me groan out loud an try commit sepuka by falling out my bed which only gave me a headache.
Other than that i made another 2 chars, another Kassandra who will be a assassin and a Alexios who will be a warrior, i got Kassandra to 26 i believe and on her way to Athens an got Alexios to lvl 8 an on the ship for first time, i was abit apprehensive of doing Alexios because i read his VA not so good an tbh his time as Deimos didn't exactly make the statement wrong but as Alexios it pretty different an i've come to enjoy it tbh though i still think Kassandra the better option it be interesting to hear her as Deimos

I was honestly a bit more surprised when I bumped into someone who looked very caucasian the other day very light skinned, blond haired, blue eyed and I was doubly surprised when I was allowed to querry her on where she was from she said Korinthia.

Maybe this is already old news but a little birdie told me that there is an update coming from Ubisoft for Odyssey in the next couple of days. At least before the tenth of this month i don't know if this also includes NG+ as well i hope so that little birdie was not sure about that though. Oh please let it be so then I can start an NG+PT!!!!!

I mean, clearly, it couldn't be an important quest to have that chance of being taken out like that before even starting it, but... that was kind of annoying. LOL In any areas the main quests to focus on are the Black and Gold coloured ones with exclamation marks as they relate to story or cultist stuff. Any of the black and white ones are ignorable and the ones like you mentioned will respawn.

Yeah they did, the whole family cultist narrative needed some clearer guidance even though the journal does try to help with that.

I am also hesitant to se Kassandra as Deimos cause I just love her as the hero and love her VA's work.
