I'm afraid that i was miss informed by that little birdie that told me that the next update + the NG+ would be released in the next couple of days. So i will let myself out now and maybe we'll meet again some day. Glad to see him talk about Sargon and his gambling booth, I agree it needs to be removed it disappointed me 95% of the time with the items it gave. In fact after spending 100's of Ori there I got in total two things I have used for any length of time or that I wanted.

One thing the wee birdies an a few others seem to agree on is January could be a nice month, not just for DLC but free content an January does fall under the timeline Ubi stated for NG+ of geing out before Origins NG+ was received, which that raptor guy said took 4 month for Origin to get NG+ Played abit on the char i'd previously got to Athens an then left there, never progressed the story much outside helping Perikles friend leave the city an just did board missions that gave most XP an money, conquest battles, burning resources etc an ended up lvl 36 i believe. I had previously bought x2 sets of armour out the store because i liked the set bonus an thought in my naivety they be great for lvling an making life abit easy, which in truth they do or did since i can never afford to keep them relevant, even with dismantling everything upgrading the ship takes it all so sooner that done the freaking better, i suppose i could transmorg the gear to look like the stuff i bought yippee fooking doo, my fault shouldn't have retrieved them till lvl 70, which defeats the fooking purpose. Been trying to remember Black Flag since i cant remember upgrading the ship an buying/crafting a new set of armour an weapons to be this stinghy but then i supplse that didnt have seperate pieces. Anyhow im ranting, resources do that to me, they give you all these fucking weapons an armour sets, different perks then say oh fuck no your no upgrading all that an having goddamn fun trying out different builds unless you fucking work an gy work i mean the time yer done you dont wanna fucking play. Ok im done im done, i apologise, but no to you soft leather bstrd. I really hope they do something about it, the resource requirements throughout the game are to much, they should be encouraging replay to discover different dialogue an choice outcomes an experience the game from a different pc no burn out on something as simple as upgrading a armour set you like. Im definitelydone now. Honest Black Flag was hard going at the start mainly due to steel not being plentiful until you started sinking bigger ships like Frigates and Man of War's and then you were rolling in resources. Certainly upgrades involving animals etc like you r holsters were far more realistic like kill 4 Panthers or 6 sharks. The grind in Origins and Odyssey is absolutely ridiculous and especially for leather. I would love to upgrade all my Legendary gear but I don't even think its possible because I wont have enough Ancient Tablets and I have looted all the sites you get them so they are a finite resource.

Easy to find, just a ridiculous amount required that requires time that could be better spent rather than spending hours committing animal genocide.

The only legendary item I got from the lucky dip was a ship theme and I bought a crew that was for sale there, that was it for me in terms of Legendary items but I also got one epic piece of armour I still use.

I killed Daphne and became the leader of the Daughters of Artemis, so why are they still hostile towards me? Is it meant to be like that? WOW you work fast the other day you were just a level 15 character and now you've already killed all the legendary animals +Daphne ... impressive. And yes you may become their new leader but it's more like the leader of nothing because of their constant hostility towards you ... and i don't know if this is meant to be. And this happened to me three times now but some of the daughters can even give you a quest ( this is after you became their new leader ) and two times it went completely wrong and the quest failed because as soon as they see you they become hostile. And one time it went a little better i got the quest but as soon as she gave me the quest she got hostile again ... i was lucky that i did not have to return to her to complete the quest ... very weird this.

Yes you're both right when it comes to the ridiculously amount of soft leather ( and the rest ) that you need to upgrade your legendary armor pieces. So i did a little math and this is an upgrade from level 66 to 70 so you need for breastplate and waistband 2458 soft leather each and for the boots and gauntlets another 1359 each that's 7644 soft leather pieces in total. So lets say you're only going to kill goats and deer they give around 11 to 15 soft leather pieces each so that means that you have to kill around the 587 of those lovely creatures. I do wonder though how big those pieces of leather are 1 by 1 mm and it's an upgrade for crying out loud. Yes i do hope that they're going to change this because ( i have said this before ) all i do lately is killing animals.

Yes I got a quest from one of the daughters to free some wolves, but the next ones I come across were hostile. Anyway, I got the Female Assassins Crew. It was free, you just need the assassin achievement, which I just got. i.imgur.com/hAtgft3.jpgNew problem, how do you get to the top loot in the Cave of forgotten Isle? I've tried from all sides, but she just can't climb up the walls. She gets up so far and just stops, or turns around and dives back into the water. i.imgur.com/cmc0Bmk.jpgYou can see the loot up there. Looking down from the top, it looks like it would be easy to just jump to that ledge, but she won't, she just dives back into the water. i.imgur.com/wLCJiMy.jpg

And look at the ledges i'm not really sure how i did it but i think i also jumped from left to right or right to left and grabbed another ledge and so i found my way up. I have to say that it's not easy but it is possible.

Yeah homebase sounds ok, but for me there just never enough to do with them, Skyrim was probably the best at it with the building etc DA:I skyhold was mediocre an i expect AC:O to be the same, visit a coupla times then dont bother with it. I suppose it all depends as i said what they do but with it coming late in the games life i dont expect much use out of it unlike if it was included from tge start

Is it better to support Athens or Sparta in the war? I picked Sparta since Alexios was Spartan even though Spartans threw him and his sister off a cliff. But it doesn't matter which side you pick because you are going to be forced to kill people on both sides and I know you have to fight on the Athenian side in a conquest battle, whether you are for Athena or not. And the game has things going on in the background all the time so no matter what you do, each side moves ahead or back in each region. As for having a home base, I don't even have anything in my chest on the ship so I probably wouldn't use a homebase much unless there was a good reason, like 500,000 leathers everytime a visited it...I'd visit it a lot then.

Is it better to support Athens or Sparta in the war? It makes zero difference, essentially you are neutral and anything you do to help or hinder the other has no impact on the outcome of the game.

Yes i do hope that they're going to change this because ( i have said this before ) all i do lately is killing animals. Thanks for doing the math @patricia I meant to do that myself. Yes its also absurd when you look at it from the size of the animal you kill. So a great big moose gives me a 15 Soft Leather, a Lion gives 25 and a Wolf sometimes gives me 35????? I am just going from place to place at the moment visiting blacksmiths and buying whatever they have got especially leather and whilst also killing animals galore I am still only at 22,000 its completely out of whack. Will have a look and see if anyone has raised this on the Ubisoft forums.

If its where I am thinking it is you come back to that island for another quest "A god amongst men" I think that you get on Kythera and I am pretty certain I could only get the third chest then.

Yes i do hope that they're going to change this because ( i have said this before ) all i do lately is killing animals. I couldn't see anything on this on the Ubi forums so in a thread re things people would like to see I replied to a Ubi Mod about this but also posted a new thread about it. I'll try and keep an eye on it but feel free to remind me to check back on their boards later. EDIT: Wow had forgotten how toxic the Ubi forums are, no useful responses just ridicule. People stating that all Blacksmiths have heaps of soft leather and that they are rolling in resources but when asked for numbers they really aren't!!!! In my playing just to confirm that I am not having a singular experience, for me not all Blacksmiths stock soft leather and I have never seen more than around 560 pieces at any one Blacksmith. Is this other peoples experience?

Soooo going to be having another really tough time getting to tell all the things I have been up to. On the plus side though it does look like I have gone through this latest round of cultist, got in total 6 of them I believe which is four since the last time I posted anything. Some highlights though is I hunted down my first two Cultists in the Gods of the Aegean sea area and I entirely wiped out the 'eyes of Kosmos' line sage and all. I found it funny that she was in the middle of Athens and I got into a bit of a tiff with her.
Anyways with that done I ran into Eipee who is looking into the 'Mycean's' apparently they scattered armor all across greece and I have to go find some Stele's to look forthem all. Each piece has translation of what they need and what they unlock, I don't know. But with the Minotaur and Cyclops in mind I started collecting them all....or will...later.
Also somewhere in my journeys I came across the location of the 'tombs of the Amazons'. Needless to say since I know what a tomb is I did a little exploring and found a specific tomb with an ancient stele. With it being so hard for me to to level up it seems right now...levelling seems to be going...soooooo slowly right now every ability point is kind of important. As an aside you don't seem to get Xp for knocking people out.
I started the first two Trials of Greece missions and the first one was pretty cool. An old lady gave me a bunch of tests having me run all over Attika. Including tests of character and adaptiability, at the end it was highly suggested that she was Athena. Of course my character expressed doubt, she called him unprincipled...she's not exactly wrong.
Finally I went over to the Image of Faith which...probably is the quest that pissed me off more then any other and its quite interesting that it is a part of the lost tales of greece. Still a bit confused on what happened. Were these old biddies trying to...I think they were trying to get me killed. Heh maybe its better then I initially thought. Still such a loooong grind.

If you want to make it easy on your self you can buy a map that gives you all the ancient tomb locations and shows all the Orichalcum locations as well through the Uplay store. I told her I thought she was Athena, can't even remember what her response was. I liked that one more than the Image of Faith one.
