Assassins Creed Odyssey

Ruined the game and franchise for the foreseeable future for me, so...no.

For 50% off? Certainly.

While Episodes 2 and 3 of Legacy was crap and Episodes 1 and 3 of Atlantis were...kind of interesting but nothing special...Episodes 1 of Legacy and 2 of Atlantis were still quite stellar.

For 50% off - sure. Personally, I think the Atlantis DLC is worth it even if it's just for the spectacle and some cool new abilities. The story is a bit weak, but it has its moments. Legacy of the First Blade was the only real major misstep for me, though you do get a decent upgrade to the Andrestia.

It's $19.99 right now, down from $39.99, and includes both DLCs, plus AC III remastered once it comes out (though I hadn't planned to play that game, so that isn't swaying me). However, based on the generally lukewarm feelings you all seem to have for these DLCs, I think I'll wait until I finish the main game and see if I really want more Odyssey at that time. And then if I have to wait for another sale, so be it Otherwise, I think I will play the Ezio trilogy next, or Unity since my brother gave me his disc.

AC3 is so underrated. Two interesting protagonists, a nice finale for that arc of Modern Day, and the best game in terms of handling the Assassin/Templar conflict.

So completed Diona's quest and Kass couldn't resist temptation!!!! Got the decision wrong at the end and had to hit F9 and do it again, I swear I was paying attention and heard which one said the clue and then got confused and chose the wrong option!!!!

Then rescued a "God" and followed him to the home of the gods and watched said God come to an unfortunate ending. Then dealt with the killer:

o the day before yesterday basically did all of the Alkibiades quests I hadn't done yet as I found myself handing in more stele to the Athenian General. Did the Olisbos quest and Kass and Alkibiades made sure it still worked, did the Easy Rider quest, (ummm maybe that should have been what the previous quest was called) anyway this time I let the general/politician die. Haven't done that before and got some new dialaogue. Then did the wedding planning questwhich wa annoying as I'd already gotten the things needed but still had to go to the site to talk to Iris.

After that chased some mercenaries down and cleared some sites, changed Kass's look again and did the first part of Heitor's going to hate and got Heitors sword for him.

Yesterday finished Heitors quest and again let them fight it out, funny that Heitor is not wearing armour and is fighting bare fisted, gets hit at least six times with the sword but wins the fight!!!!! Anyway the other guy only gets knocked out but I threw him in the sea and he actually struggled then dies.

yesterday was also the day of Glitches like I have never seen in the game before. Firstly The Adrestia rammed a ship whilst in battle, in then shrunk really small and span around and then got a bit bigger and cart wheeled around the screen before returning to its normal size and continuing on!!!!!! what the hell, has anyone had that before? I did in Black Flag a couple of times.

Then landed on this tiny island and I started to swim to a sunken ship site and the dog on the island started swimming after me for ages. I got worried for said dog so started to swim towards the Adrestia and the dog turned around and swam back to towards the island but when it got to the wave it died.

Horse and Scenery

Yeah I think it must be to do with her Demi-Godness, extra flotation or something. Need to chuck mYrinne in the water and see if she floats, OH but then she'd be a witch. 

I have had no ship issues at all I think, except once The Adrestia refused to dock. Had a Spartan Trireme get stuck blocking Xenias harbour so I couldn't get The Adrestia out and I couldn't damage it. Had to FT somewhere else and call her.


 

I have spent ages trying to get just the right angle for  shot only to have to can it because I couldn't get the right angle. 

I've been doing loads of side quests and only just met Kass's real dad today.

Alkibiades is done fooling around with Kassandra, I guess. Unless there are threesomes in their future.



Then Kass saw another one of her old friends from Kephallonia. I'm just waiting for Markos to pop up again at this point.



Heitor's "friend" refused to follow Kassandra through this fairly sizable gap in the military camp's fence, forcing her to take the long way around or else he got stuck.


Heitor and his "friend" both managed to walk away from their encounter. Kassandra the Vengeful isn't turning out like I intended.



I think the Master's quest was one of the weirdest/most pointless quests ever. Talk to the guy, get told to kill someone mysterious, find Sokrates randomly standing right there, then immediately get sent back to the Master to close out the quest. No chance to actually go out and kill anyone, even if I'd wanted to. Then once he turned to leave the conversation, I just assassinated him with no fanfare.

(I Googled it, and the person he wanted killed is already on my ship, so it's impossible to kill her. Still think it was super weird to just...not get any acknowledgement of that. Could have had Kassandra say something to herself about not killing one of her lieutenants, at least.)




Saved both of these actors thanks to attacking their assailants with my bow, yet their children were all off-screen sobbing. I think the kids orchestrated the whole thing to get an early inheritance.



Spent some time helping the Magistrate, and did not get the resolution I was hoping for. The Dagger died just as his brother did: being propelled off a cliff. He flew even further.





After watching a dog pee, it was time for Kassandra to go find her real dad!



No more lava. Please.

At least Layla didn't have to climb over pools of lava to get there.

Yesterday put a solid 4 hours into ACOD and Kass's feet and her horse needed a damn good massage afterwards with many kilometres and "?" marks cleared.

Basically started at the bottom of Messenia and cleared everything up to Arkadia and Elis. Day started badly with Kass trying to clear the Forge in Apeia and it going public and Kass ending up with a bounty of 5, stupid civilians!!!!!! Anyway 6 mercenaries were killed at least 5o guards and probably 20 civilians whom I tried to avoid killing by just Sparta kicking them or hitting them with parlyse arrows but in the end i just stopped caring.

Still not sure how i actually got spotted TBH anyway it made clearing some other places like the leaders house easy as there were only a few guards there.

Rest of the day was successfully completed in stealth, highlight was killing an ancient one.
