So who has traveled from one end of the world to the other end? No ships allowed. Challenge accepted! Hold my wine! P.S. Boats are not ships, right? 😋 Am I allowed to single handedly raid ships while swimming alone in the deep sea?

After accepting to join some Spartan soldiers for an all night drinking binge at the beach, Kassandra woke up with a heavy hangover, looked around and said "I remember the beach, I remember the farm, I don't remember building a Trojan horse..."

I just had a crazy experience.
Riding to pursue a bounty, I experienced extreme pop-in, as a Spartan camp appeared all around me. I kept riding and attacked the merc I was hunting. All of the Spartans pursues, and a big ass three-way brawl started. Soon, civilians were arming themselves and my wanted meter sky-rocketed. One of the four mercs who came for me was Exekias the Legend, cultist and #1 merc. I’ve been #2 for a while, and intended to eventually go find the old man. I dropped his ass, and his bear and three other mercs. Glorious! I’m now “Top of the Food Chain”, as the trophy says. I’ve also decapitated the Heroes of the Cult. I’ll mop up the leftovers as they are found.

It is kind of interesting that the noterioty system seems to be sommething which technically you don't want to raise because that is how they work in most games...you only get points when you do something bad...but for ACO it seems like the only way to get certain things to happen that are apparently story related. Curiouser and curiouser.

I finished the main story this morning. Total gameplay time was right around 90hours. Only have a handful of achievements left to get (but they are the tougher ones).
This game scratches many itches for me (if that makes any sense). I am absolutely smitten with the world and I don't care what anyone says, I think it is better than the Witcher 3.
Oh and it's cool to finally have a Wonder Woman game since WB won't make one.

I reached the first modern day part and there’s a Japanese guy on Layla team. Now I’ll be in conspiracy mode to find any clue about the next AC game being in Japan. Feudal Japan would be amazing.
Make it happen Ubi!

Curiouser and curiouser. I spend a lot of my time with a “two Spartans” bounty on me. Sometimes it’s lower, sometimes higher. Anything illegal that you’re seen doing adds to that meter. Petty theft is minor; murder is major; and attacking/killing a regional Leader is bonkers. It makes interfering civilians a pain in the ass, since it’s easy to drop a few before you realize that they’ve entered the fray. I easily could’ve found and attacked Exekias at any time. It just worked out that he was close at hand when I started murdering. You actually cross paths with other mercs regularly. Sometimes they’re pursuing your bounty, but not always. Sometimes they’re friendly/disinterested even if there’s a bounty on your head. They’ll comment on it, telling you to watch your back. I’m only mildly ashamed to admit murderizing many friendly/neutral mercenaries. I want those XP and loots! I hit Level 50 earlier. I still have to get the spear from 4 to 5 to remove skill level caps. It turns out that quiver capacity is level-dependent, so I’m at 70 standard/35 specials. I got that second melee wheel and it makes a huge difference. More moves are on the table, now. The rich get richer. I’m still wearing the full Heroes of Greece set. I don’t love Jason’s Breastplate, but it’s an excellent set. (I don’t like giant, busy pauldrons. They look unusable.) It turns out that Argolis was exactly the nation in which I needed to be. I’d gone there to hunt and explore, only to discover that the critical path also led there. Convenient. I 100% that region and dipped into northern Arkadia in order to hunt and see a site for the Blind King. I’ll return for the rest of the nation later. I turned in another skin to Daphnae and had more sexy time. I intend to sail west and south around the Peloponnesus, since I’ve never been, in order to return to Athens. There I should complete Episode 4. I hope to discover and loot some sunken vessels along the way. EDIT: Korinthia, Argolis and Arkadia as beautiful. I’m not sure what the west and south hold, but the east coast and center of the Peloponnesus is very pretty country. I’m kind of ready to get out to see, but I will enjoy returning here. Adrestia is almost completely upgraded. I found a ton of stone tablets to fuel those upgrades. I’m sporting a new sail and colors, but can’t recall what they are at the moment. A satyr sail, maybe? I’ve yet to see it unfurled. I’ll get a look at it tomorrow.

www.pushsquare.com/news/2018/10/assassins_creed_odyssey_sets_new_series_sales_recordNot sure if anyone particularly cares, but I'm hearing odyessy is doing great in reception and sales wise. I know for the Xbox, it's the highest rated AC game to date and I guess Odyssey is selling better than any other Current generation AC game did. I'm not an AC fan at all, odyessy is the first one I'm playing seriously since AC2 and that was when it literally came out. I guess I'd say this is my favorite to date, but when you only play 3 out the the 20 games I guess it doesn't mean much 😊 FYI I'm still in korinthia but I'm pretty sure I got the main story done there, just finishing the random ? Mark stuff now and I guess I'll head to pephka or W/E people are calling it since I hear it's a funny/fun place to be.

Mark stuff now and I guess I'll head to pephka or W/E people are calling it since I hear it's a funny/fun place to be. I recommend going to Delos/Mykonos too when Barnabas informs you someone asks for you there to help a rebellion. It's not a light hearted funny area as Pephka, but it's also a pretty well done quest line. And depending on your choices: Barnabas may finally get lucky. Ha! Fun fact, just discovered something. Ikaros is smarter than me.
I was in, well a city I won't name, just spotting a treasure chest when the eagle tagged a random civilian in the crowd and put a level above her head. Out of curiosity I attacked the woman and she turned out to have huge HP pool and could kick ass. Turns out she is a high ranked cultist that I didn't even had a clue on. The eagle actually tags unknown cultists in the crowds.

Helping Kyra was ok. Even though I sided with her, I went and killed the cult guy at the leader house. Because I took that detour, I wasn't able to get the trophy. So I will go back to an earlier save to load. What's interesting is I was still able to have a fling with her.

I knew exactly where the cultist was, but figured those quests would disappear if I went off plan. I didn't imagine that it would glitch a trophy. I turned down Kyra, even though she's the most attractive NPC I've yet encountered. Thaletas seems totally infatuated infatuated with her, and she's involved with him, so I didn't want to get between them. Thaletas could be an ally. No reason to alienate him over some punani. 😂 Alexios can score that anywhere. I'm going kill this cultist and take a break. Apparently, a water main must be replaced on my street. My water will be off for an indeterminate number of hours in the morning. Sounds like a good time to stay up late playing and sleep through the water outage.

I misread the trophy list. That's my bad. What I did miss by doing the way I did was going to Delos Island to sabotage the camp and going to the fort with Kyra to take the treasure to weaken the enemy. She waited outside the fort while I went inside to take the treasure. Once that was done, I did the conquest battle on the beach. After that, instead of having to go to the Podarkes's house to kill him, he was in another location to kill.

For those who didn't know, here's a location, SW of Delos near an island, to find an outfit for the females to have an all-female crew. They sing the same songs as the males. There's also a male bandit outfit in the same location

I often clean up my immediate area, assuming it’s relatively small like Mykonos, before I jump into any real quests. I had the Athenians completely on the ropes before I even met Thaletas or Kyra. I could’ve killed Podarkes immediately after meeting them, but I chose to do those side quests first. I went hunting with Kyra and turned down her advances. (I’m really glad, since it worked out well.) I went to the boarded up house and followed that through to the end. Then, Podarkes died like a chump. I stayed up all night playing this game. I’m just now stopping. Kind of crazy, but I covered an insane amount of content. I’m finally in Pephka right now. I’ve visited and completed most of the southern and central islands, but not all of them. I’ve avoided Thera for now, in favor of hunting cultists. I think I met Alexios’ soulmate in Roxana. I like her. If these romance arcs went deeper than flings, I’d have Alexios stay with her. I could see them having crazy adventures. Next time, I’ll start fighting in the arena with a purpose beyond wasting lives and making coin. I think there are still 19 living cultists. I want to keep pruning that tree. I dumbly tried to save scum the Oikos merchant. Of course they planned for that. My manual save did me no good, as the Oikos is an online feature. I blew a bunch of orichalcum on epics. I received the Athenian ship customization, and I got a “special” lieutenant who isn’t as good as the 6 or 7 Legendaries that I already had. I then landed the Poseidon pack, which is awesome. It looks way better than any others, in my opinion. It kind of pisses me off that it is a Store item. There’s far too little variety in game for them to be locking ships, horses and the like behind a paywall. Anyway, I got lucky. Going back to lieutenants, I wish the best stats were reserved for recruits gained via story missions. We have a bond, after all, if I decided to recruit the person. Even my legendary recruit from a story sequence can not compare to the legendary mercs I’ve recruited. Oh, well. Lastly, we really need a free sea shanty pack. I’m tired of hearing the same damn songs. I never got tired of them in Black Flag or Rogue. There just isn’t enough variety. It’s like hearing the same songs repeatedly on the radio and beginning to hate them.

According to Ubisoft Club, I'm 50% way through game with exactly 100 hrs put in; give or take a few for being idle. Holy shit this game is massive. Though my one regret with how I've been playing, is that I wish I did the question marks later. I just checked my stats a few minutes ago. I’m 66.7% through the main story, with 74% of the game completed. I’ve play just under 102 hours. I’ve traveled 1.67 Million meters. Crazy! I’ve completed so much today. Crete is huge and took most of the day. I’ve completed all of the southern islands and as far north as Samos and Poseidon’s Temple. I’ve gone back to the upper Peloponnesus, now, in pursuit of cultists and unexplored areas. Lots of cultists died today. I’m presently in Boeotia, closing in on completion. Then, I’ll either go to Achaia or back to island-hopping. I think I might try to finish up the Peloponnesus before doing all of the islands. I want to see whether completing the Artemis hunting quests makes those ladies less hostile. I have cultists, two animals and one final site for the Blind King all on the Peloponnesus, so I guess that might be best. For the person willing to grind through those early levels and stick with this giant game, this is definitely one of the best AC games so far. It’s right there with AC2 & Brotherhood, and Origins. It’s a little rough around the edges. Loading times are a constant nuisance on PS4 Pro. What it lacks in final polishing, though, it balances with quality content in great quantity. The game gets better as it goes along. I just diubtvwhether most players will ever see the finish line. colfoley , I think you’d like this game. My views of it evolve as I play. It’s huge with endless things to do. It’s main story is good, and the side quests are generally decent. There’s some repetition in taking down bases, camps, etc... but that’s just part of AC. The RP is just detailed enough to make me think I could RP two types of character (good and selfish) and the myriad combinations between. You’ll still get mostly the same story, but your attitude can vary decently. I believe this game has multiple endings. It certainly feels like there have been a few major decision points that would dictate such. Combat is Grundy at first, then improved and finally very fun once your spear and skills are totally evolved. The explosive power of Aleksios’ moves at this point is pretty fun to watch and play. I almost wish I weren’t using so much fire so that I could enjoy watching the spear flash more clearly. (Almost. I love my fire weapons.) A few assorted thoughts to end the post: Thunderstorms are incredible. The looks and sounds are impressive. The new patch helped the game look cleaner on PS4 Pro. It’s comparable to Origins, now. Aleksios’ VA is really good. He’s silly and sarcastic when it’s okay to be so, but he kills the serious scenes. Great performance! I can’t wait to use Kassandra and feel the differences. Her VA is getting high praise from many online. For all the bitching about this not being “a true AC game”, this is the most AC of all of the games since Ezio for me. It’s centered squarely on all the things that make the IP great: good protagonist; Isu awesomeness; and intelligent, powerful, scheming enemies that need to be killed.

I hope so. Anyways me and my fiancee just got done with Black Flag and really gave up out of it in frustration, might be my fault since I couldn't see the prompts on screen entirely but it was just so clunky in terms of gameplay and really didn't make sense, so I guess I am glad I didn't get into the series too early lol. I mean as I also mentioned to her I don't think I would be too good with stealth only games. I like stealth in my games but all the various 'assassin' games just haven't looked appealing to me...but then that is another reason why Oddyessey does look appealing since you can be stealthy but it does not look like you have to be stealthy. As far as the grind and repitition is concerned...normally these would be bigger issues for me, I generally don't like doing things over and over in games but A. I have found in most games you can mitigate some of your grind by just ignoring it and powering through the story and B. I'm hoping that its grind is more like the grind and repitition in Ghost Recon. IE its there, its noticable, and sometimes can get annoying but it really doesen't matter because the gameplay is still fun and keeps everything fresh. I am also glad that you praise Alexios's voice actor so when/ if I get the game I will probably play him first. (I am trying to do this thing in my RPGs...at least the RPGs if not all the games that let you chose a gender...of swapping them with each game's first PT, so for Andromeda if I play fem Ryder...I'd play Alexios for ACO at least...its an idea I've had).

Ramming Speed: the Game. Yus. Got to Tier 1 Merc at 44. Because collectibles. 12 more Triangle People to destroy. Are You Not Entertained, now all level 50 redux to get other collectibles. Ram everything for money: the sequel My Precious: Somewhat dated pictures from 10ish hours ago. Its stronger now. I like Bird. He finds the good shit. All 22 Tombs vs Snakes in a Pot completed. 105 hrs so far and I just started the main mission for Land of Working Night Ladies. Still have Preview Island, Pirate Lady and Help the Doc to do, as far as main plot progress. X, in the circle of Triangle land is listed as level 35. I outleveled that aspect a lot. 4 triangle branches down now. Just a few more to go.

I've now got 46 hours played. Originally I was going to do pehpka and such, but I decided to do all the other islands on my way since 1. Some were under my lvl anyways and 2. So I don't need to go back, I was going to just do pehpka and head back to Athens.
I'm now lvl 32 as well. Some neat quests I did was help Markos from the Cerberus brothers, fought a lion beast that really liked to just Dodge and not attack and I had two instances of assassinating guards in front of guards and the guards who watched it bugged out. They saw the dead bodies, but couldn't see me right in front of them doing it so it was funny to hear "where did you go!? I'll find you" when you're out in the open. It was also cool to be inside of a volcano 👍I've also unlocked the higher tier warrior abilities and those things can put in some damage. The cherry on top for the night was getting 5 mercs on me at an Athenian rock quarry where I had to have killed over 40+ guys. I will say archers in numbers can be the biggest pain when you're fighting other melee NPCs, Dodge all you want, eventually one of the 6 or 7 archers will get you. I also have my ship decked out so much that everything is purple at the least with a few gold lieutenants.
So I guess once I get home, I'll finish all the islands on my way to pephka and clear it out then head back to Athens to progress the main story. I think I've finally cleared 1/4 of the map, maybe even half now if we include all the islands on the east side of the map since much of it is nothing but water.

I recruited Big Smoldering Bertha (Debora). Now I feel like it makes ship boarding bit pointless for me to join. She just jumps over there and throws everyone off the ship in record time. The sharks have a field day.

Level 48. Gonna be a demi-god soonish. Arena Part 2. Gimmie the loot b/c you are all 50 now. Gimmie. Nice. Must get the rest of Legendary Arena Armor. I like collecting for the engrave unlocks. Bird harasses everything. I usually go to that one Plot Island, with the Upgrade Machine and hunt for all the leather. Helped Markos again. And I have a feeling Ill get a lion king moment with a certain someone else later. They seem to be fond of that trope. Poor Kass, Alexios and Bayek. All my LT are gold 5 star skilled people. Mostly mercs that tried to kill me in fact. XD My favorite weapons are spears, swords, staffs, daggers, heavy blade, and pew pew bows like the Hades one that sets people on fire as a standard.
