I trust CDPR implicitly, so I will be buying the game. Whether or not I pre-order depends on if I get anything useful out of it. And even then, I'll likely pre-order only a day or two before launch.

I'm going to laugh when Cyberpunk 2077 ends up being a glitch-riddled piece of shit. Not that it'll stop CDPR fans from worshipping the game and treating their delusional psychosis as justification to harass and threaten BioWare fans and staff, because they know how stupid they are to idolize CDPR. The salt is strong with this one.
No kidding lol Icing on the cake is he's basically doing to CDPR fans what he abhors them doing to Bioware fans.

I'm really down with buying Cyberpunk 2077. I feel like it's the game I been waiting for long before it was a thing. Huge fan of Shadowrun games, even as far back as the original on SNES. I never played the paper and pen version.
I acknowledge that I'm not a huge fan of CDPR. I hated TW1. Really hated it. TW2 was better but not great. I still haven't finished TW3. My main interest here is the cyberpunk aspect.

I'll probably buy it. I don't preorder anything ever, nor I have anykind of a relationship (be it trustful, supportive, etc) with any company or corporation (or similar legal entity or imaginary community). So before I buy it, I'll will see what initial reactions are, although I don't have any formalized system, threshold, or per-conditions what I'll expect it to met. It's more heuristical and intuitive judgement, something like when it comes and couple days after, I'll spend couple hours reading various user feedback from different sites, some random videos maybe, etc. Kind of a low resolution sense of what's the word on the streets is. It's a quick and dirty, but accurate enough method to detect if a game is a total flop (like 1-3/10). A prospect I find unlikely, but one never knows. As long as a perception is at least average, I'll probably buy it at some point. No particular sites or users in mind (only "critic" I watch is ssethtzeentach). What I am looking for is a random but wide general perspective, not a critique or analysis. I have a low time preference for these things, and it's more depending what sort of schedule I have going on then. No point of buying day one game, if I don't have time to play it until months later.
I am mostly into the setting, because I am a huge fan of tabletop RPG it's based on. Not the first one, which I have never played and definitely not the third one either (Cyberpunk V3.0 if I recall, which was released sometime around early 2000s. The one which totally flopped, and was universally acclaimed as a travesty and joke. Like lol, as an example, rather than doing traditional artwork for the book, like illustrations, etc, they rather used staged photos with zany night-vision filters, which featured Action Man dolls. Production quality for the rules and world building was comparable). 2020 was the shit back, and very popular around here at nineties and early 2000s (maybe it still is, although it's been like 6 years since I have played it). So much actually that there was a translated version of it. It's the only RPG I've seen, where I prefer translation over the original. It's worth of reading for its own sake, if you speak Finnish (vitun hauskaa läppää kannesta kanteen. Esim. Hahmonluonnissa oli tyyliin ohjeet "runkkarista punkkariksi", jne). That's enough for me to pique my interest for the CRPG.
I am pretty neutral towards CDPR. I like the fact that there's diversifying in the industry for triple AAA level (which has traditionally been dominated by Japanese and Western European, especially North American developers), and I especially like that they are Eastern European company (as a sort of Eastern European myself, though I am not a slav). It wouldn't alone warrant me to buy the game, but it's definitely a plus. I have not been thrilled with their past games. Although I have only played Witcher 1, and I wasn't bananas about it. Never finished it actually. I can understand why people like the series, but for me undesirable elements outweighed the enjoyable ones, so I doubt I'll ever continue the series any further (I am aware that the series is supposed to get better from the first one). Trailers for Cyperpunk look really good, but I don't put much weight into marketing, and stuff like is it first person only or third person are pretty meaningless details to me (as long as the premise is interesting, I am pretty omnivorous to almost all other features). So far so good, so much that I cannot think any other game I even remotely waiting for. Maybe The Outer Worlds, but there really isn't anything else onto horizon.

I'm really divided on how I am going to play the game... I still don't have a PS4, since it's very expensive in my country. But even if I had, I'm terrible at shooters playing with a joystick
My PC is quite good now, but it's old. I doubt it will be able to play Cyberpunk when it is released (that counting my PC is still fully working until then: it's 8 years old, and I already had to change the video card).

A proper singleplayer RPG from a more-than-reputable developer with tons of options? Why would I say no to that?

I'm not making excuses, there are clearly crunch issues in the industry, but to pretend it's systemic is pure speculation. I work in a company with different departments and guess what - they're all treated differently.

I cannot find it anymore, but I read once that CDPR is having trouble hiring in the EU because of their crunch behavior. I do wonder how true that is, but with the acceptance of how brutal their crunch is it wouldn't surprise me.

I work in a company with different departments and guess what - they're all treated differently. BioWare was being tarred and feathered over about a dozen Glass Door reviews and they would be around the same size as CDPR. My stance was that since I couldn't fully trust anonymous reviews with BioWare and I will do the same for CDPR, but I saw plenty of people claiming the BioWare ones must be true and the CDPR ones false for they "trust" CDPR. Personally I only thought there was truth to the matter when I first saw the article on Gamaustra by a former CDPR employee and then CDPR saying that their development style isn't for everyone gives those reviews some merit for they never outright denied what was being said.

I'm wondering whether GOG's financial difficulties is putting pressure on them to release games a bit sooner than intended ... Possibly? But they've shown in the past a willingness to - seriously - delay a game if it doesn't meet their standard. Given "how close" CP2077 is, surely the - approx - billion dollar shot in the arm their books will get from releasing that would alleviate any immediate pressure on the cashflow. I think we'd need to see significant numbers of 'non game development' staff being shown the door PLUS an unanticipated speeding up of release of this 'other game' before we could - confidently - make that assertion. Not to say that it couldn't be all connected, of course, it would just be hugely out of character for the way the company has acted in the past.

I'll buy it relatively soon after it comes out I'm sure. I'm not usually a fan of 1st person games though, but so far the game looks amazing. I don't want to miss out. I just might have to take some motion sickness medicine first.

Pre-order...because I love Cyberpunk. I'm wondering whether GOG's financial difficulties is putting pressure on them to release games a bit sooner than intended ... I personally think it was the plan to release CP2077 no later than 2019 since they announced the "two new AAA before end of 2021" years ago (2016/2017). Their only option to achieve that with a normal (~3 years) development cycle for the other game was releasing CP2077 in late 2018 or 2019 because their devs were/are all tied up on CP2077 and Gwent. GOG's financial difficulties is because they are failing to grow, if a game release on Steam and GOG, people will use the Steam version. Epic isn't making million dollar exclusive deal to force people to use their platform for giggles, it's the only way to get people to use something else than Steam.

The problem is when CDPR addressed them for me with the statement of "the way we make games is not for everyone". Its why I don't blame BioWare for the statements they made after the Kotaku article about Anthem and the reported issues during development. Overall I think the crunch problem at CDPR needs to have a very strong light shone upon it, but I am to the point where people aren't looking for a reason to be upset at them and will just ignore any reporting on CDPR and their methods and go with a "its fine I like their games" and continue to support the company without even condemning them.

I might not immediately start playing it but I just want to show my trust and appreciation. Same here. I bought the Deluxe Edition of Andromeda, to support BioWare. But recent events have me reconsidering my future potential purchases from that company. I also got the Witcher series for cheap. Beat the first one, could not slog through the second, and am now playing the third. At least for TW3, I can see why the hype exists. I can't say it's my favorite game, but I am getting my money's worth, and the game is a prime example of how to do side-quests. So, for CyberPunk2077, given that my machine should be able to run it well, and that it's sci-fi... I want to buy it, but I'm going to wait-n-see. It'll be an easy buy if I like what I see, but the gameplay mechanics of CPR tend to be "not my style", or more accurately, I like being able to create my own build. To be fair, the Witcher let's you choose what skills to develop, but you are always a Witcher. I know that's part of the story, I'm not dissing that, but I like being able to choose your "class". So if CyberPunk2077 let's me do that, it'll likely be an easy buy, but I assume nothing.

Literally the only thing holding me back from pre ordering this game is the fact that it's first person. I usually don't like that at all.

Biggest hold up for me is:
1. Will this game have actual multiplayer?
2. If so how many and how will it be implemented?
I have too many fond memories of planning a joint heist with my friends in 2020 to want to see 2077 as a single player only title. Give me fully integrated co-op, or at least an engaging co-op mode and I'll pre-order this game in a heartbeat.
