Text Based Let's Play of AC: Oddessey

Any shark anywhere will do. There are usually sharks near the underwater points of interest. You can shoot sharks from your ship or when you swim on the surface of the water. Underwater fighting is harder, so just try to shoot them.

This is their first attempt at branching narrative and it shows, but it honestly could be way worse.

Those conquest battles

It kept kicking my butt because I'm specced as a hunter assassin and there is no way to pull that off in a group battle

So I went to hunt some mercs before they hunted me. Got some better gear and went up a level. Then remembered I could re spec

So then I got to go talk to Papa about his trying to kill Kass the last time I saw him. A bit bummed I couldn't choose the dialogue at all. Then didn't kill him-- only to find out he wasn't my daddy. And Alexios hadn't been his son either.

O.o so wait here. There are years age difference between Kass and her brother. So Nicolaus was cuckolded twice?

phoray, regards the eagle. Yeah, it's also present in ACO. I don't know about Bayek's (sp?} origin but from what I understand of the AC lore, there were a first people / race called the Isu. They were homo sapiens divinus, technologically advanced. They created the humans as a docile slave race in their own image and the Isu artifacts. The human slave race were wired to obedience but some were born without the innate neurotransmitters as they were human and Isu hybrids, making them immune to the effects of the Isu artifacts. The human slave race (led by Adam and Eve) revolted and broke away. The resulting war and a coronal mass ejection destroyed the Isu civilization and bounced the humans back to a primitive age.

Kass is a descendant hybrid so her genes are closer to that of the Isu. The Isu have triple-helix DNA structure and had six primary senses so she definitely inherited those which explain why she could see Isu writings. To explain away the eagle thing, I just extrapolated that the Isu were able to telepathically link to animals.

It's always a cult.

I just realized... How does my eagle know all these people's names?

Yeah I thought I'd save him the grief and shame but it backfired on me to. No hetero love for Kass for me either. 

So as I mentioned above, I am hunting cultists now and then. It is interesting that as much as I was like, "ugh, always a cult" this is the first cult I've seen done this well in a while. They SAY the cult controls the Oracle, but I thought it meant just the recent one. But no, it's been a while, and the little old biddy had been the cause of all Kassandra's childhood diving drama. And this is only a side quest I nearly decided not to bother with that supports the bigger narrative. When they say a Cult is all powerful and doing ALL the evil things they actually DO have their fingers in all the pies. At least, the Oracle ones so far. But I assume there will be other small quests to support this narrative as well. At least hope so, Because that would be impressive.

I guess I shouldn't have been shocked after the "I may not be your father but I'll always be your Daddy" scene with Nicolaus not find out that Alexios was still alive.

What's funny is he walks in and I say to myself "I think that looks like Alexios. Guess they just have similar character models" and then it took Kass going "Alexios?" For me to be like "whaaa? No way!" So they got me.

there must have been some sort of net on the underside of the cliff for both Kass and Alexios to survive. "Deimos" cultist description said the Cult raised him to be the psychopath he is today. No way a baby survived that fall without intervention.
