Well I hope they don't continue with the stick figure body for elves, especially a dalish elf. A person who runs, hike, and hunt for a living wouldn't have a body of of a stick with no muscle definition. These elves are on the move 24/7, it doesn't make any sense. A lot of there original concept art as well showed elves with muscle mass. Not as much as a human, but muscle nonetheless. The game gave us elves with no muscle mass at all. I'd like to imagine my dalish elf inquisitor was a hunter before becoming herold. But I'm definitely going human next game if they keep up this emaciated child look. Origins did well with the elves. I was excited for the elven PC for Inquisition, but it failed. Humans are third out of four with regard to muscle mass. If you want muscle mass, there might be better options. Just saying.........

You know what, It was only the PC elves that had this problem. Sera body looked fairly healthy compared to the female PC. And Solas well... LOOK AT THE QUADS ON THIS BOI!!!I at the very least want Solas body (That sounds weird), and amor types for the elves to resembles his.

Yet again, muscle definition slider. Needs to happen, because it won't affect clipping as it's just about increasing the definition of muscles instead of the mass of the muscles.

It's not all about the muscle mass. I like elves because they are different, but not too different; they only have pointy ears. Plus I love the backstory of both the city elves and the dalish. They are marginalized, but ultimately come together as a community trying to help their own people. Qunari are absolute beast who are bias against magic and mages, and the Inquisition just fucked them up even more. Their design is hideous. Give me the qunari from DA2. Dwarfs are too short, and well...they are too short. Humans on the other hand are just vanilla. They're are the "basic bitch" of all the races. Not bad, but meh. If I can't have a decent looking elf, I'm going to be a basic bitch.

This is a naked male elf below, I don't know if his thighs are any thinner than Solas' but maybe I'm just blind.

Oh yeah male elves chest is really weird, it kind of feels like they are taking female hormones in some angles, honestly. So yeah, you totally have a point. And they are sickly thin, actually rather than sickly thin, they look dis-proportioned because the arms and the legs are just that noodly thin, and male elves have no shoulders at all.

Sera body looked fairly healthy compared to the female PC. Sera had a human female body iirc. Yeah, Sera had a human body model - same as Vivienne and Cassandra's. It wasn't really noticeable playing as a qunari or dwarf, but put her up next to a human or elven PC and it's really obvious.

I would LOVE if they would let me play Inquisitor for selected missions. I do wanna play as new hero but at the same time I want to control my previous hero. I don't want it to be npc, like Hawke. If they would implement Gerald&Ciri mechanic into DA4 I will literally lose my shit from happiness. Just imagine how much more emotional effect I, as a player, would have if i'd to meet Solas as someone who has history with him, instead of some new hero/

Right, except soldiers in the Inquisitors OWN FREAKING CASTLE didn't even recognize them when they were sitting right next to them with Iron Bull....Can we please stop this ridiculous charade of "EVERYONE KNOWS THE INQUSITOR!" No, they know their reputation. You cannot convince me, that all of Tevinter is going to know the exact details of the Inquisitors physical appearance when people who worked IN THE SAME BUILDING as the Inquisitor for A YEAR did not instantly recognize them when their sitting right there, talking about how amazing they are. This is getting truly ridiculous, the amount of bending of facts that are going on in order to justify biases. Although keep in mind that if the setting for the next game is Tevinter, any qunari, and likely any Dalish elf seen wandering around is gonna draw attention just by not being slaves. This is why I hope a possible new protagonist starts as a slave to to Archon; high enough to familiar with the major movers and shakers, but still low enough to be initially disregarded and have to work our way up.

I don't mind thinner elves with less musculature than humans but the elf body in inquisition was one of the few things that bothered me about the game. The arms were literally broken and caved in and the shoulders were too small for the body, the head looked like a bobble head at times. Also because of a squished chest area, my male elf in certain lighting looked like he had boobs, which I did not want. I ended up using mods, not to make him buff but just to fix the arms/shoulder situation. So bioware, if you're reading this, please fix the male elves for inquisition. My ideal would be a body slider anyway so people could just decide for themselves.
EDIT: Off topic The reason why Tolkien wouldn't be able to say that is was Cirdan's possession of Narya is because another elf Mahtan also had a beard (and in his second cycle to boot). However it is said that he was the exception for having a beard so young. I couldn't resist...sorry

I prefer elves, but they were destroyed in both DA2 and Inquisition. I'm tired of elves looking like pixies; the males look like children. I want more tribal, manly looking elves! I want something like this. Sorry, but in Thedas that would just be a hornless Qunari .
While I too would like a body slider, I would prefer such options remain within the context of each race; for example, I think a lithe Qunari should still look at least slightly bigger than a jacked elf.

We don't even need body sliders, though I hope for one. Just give male elves Solas body model. People want elves to still be slim, well I do too. I just don't want an emaciated male elf. A male elf shouldn't have been as small as they were in inquisition.

Heck in DAI some human enemies looked way bigger than my quanri...

Well shit. I'm currently doing an alt replay of the trilogy and am in the middle of DA2. I've been debating if I want to do a male elf or a male qunari for my DA:I character. I was leaning towards male elf since I've never played one of those. This thread is making me rethink that. I like a big old beefy PC.

I like to play characters with different body types (which is a problem in itself, but I understand that it’s not easy to implement a body slider for the type of game DA is), so I don’t mind that much if the elves are thinnier/slimmer then the other races, but DAI is at a point that it’s too much to play for dozens and dozens of hours with that model. If there’ll be an elf option in TDWR, and it’s decently done, I’ll play an elf in that. If the Inquisitor will be back, I’ll probably use the Keep.

Seeing pictures of bearded inquisitors (and that qunari one is one of the best looking one, quality wise), makes me really wishing they improved a lot on that department.

That qunari beard honestly looks like dirt, but it's the only qunari beard that isn't super bushy and disgusting (not that bushy big beards are disgusting but the way they are modeled in the game is disgusting) but at least adds some facial scruff. So yeah you're right, they better fix their damn beards. Some really basic styles are completely missing. And it doesn't help that Andromeda was even WORSE when it comes to beards.
