If he goes out badass like Mordin it could be just as epic. Mordin has one of the most memorable death scenes. But sure, mentor death is cliche, I agree. Doesn't mean it can't be done well. Shot in the back by his friend? LOL I did this once and it will haunt me forever. |

Mordin death is earned but killing off Varric especially at the end of the tutorial would be extreme lame. Varric dying in DA 2 and even in DAI would feel earned but killing at the start of the next where he has to be fair no good reason to be is not an epic scene.

Everyone, how does it feel to finally get news? Remember long years of info starvation? After 10 years of waiting I still have to adjust to the fact this game is real and not just something "indefinite" that will come some day in the future. Like, I got used to artworks made by fans and fanfics that explore what might happen after Trespasser, theories about the next game and now it's all coming to an end. It's weird but the good kind of weird (for me at least)
Also, I'm having flashback of the first time I played Trespasser and I'm feeling old lol

No i know its crazy but i am huge Varric fan but i wouldn´t feel anything but just anger. Not for his murderer but the Bioware writers. Come on the mentor character has to die. "How original and clever from them" Is this no good storytelling. I also feel absolutely nothing when Han Solo has been killed off. If he goes out badass like Mordin it could be just as epic. Guys there other options to not reuse a character and just killing him of? We will highly likely that revisited Kirkwall so why shouldn´t he retire or stay in his job as Vicomte of Kirkwall. Also Morrigan? Why?

Ok so some things I would like to see tomorrow
- Dialogue options - curious to see how expansive the options are or any other improvements made here
- Zoomed-out camera or cinematic presentation for dialogue?
- Combat - what does it look like and how strategic can it be? (despite obviously going action-y)
- Classes & skill trees
- Character creation - race options? voice options? body type adjustment? (guessing no based on how the chars look) hair/beard options
- Romance option confirmations (maybe unlikely since it will be early game)
- Minrathous (looks good so far)
- Faces and expressions

Because she's my favorite character since DAI. And my personal head canon will remain that she will be the one bringing about the best future. Solas and her arguing was amazing. I want to see more of them as rivals. Now of course by not making her baby canon that complicates things. Very stupid move on Bioware's part. But I always liked her as the good person seen as the bad guy by everyone. Morrigan has always wanted a future I supported. I'll be very disappointed if Morrigan ends up not mattering at all for the endgame of the series. |

Sooo many of us came here with the shutter of the official BSN and we've all stayed here. The past few years I've pretty much just lurked since there wasnt much to discuss. But I'm so happy so many of us are still here and I believe this is the most dedicated corner of the DA Fandom out there. |

Btw I'm team Varric dies. And I would be OK with it. Good storytelling needs gut wrenching deaths like Mordin. Seriously, it would make a lot of sense for Varric to die. It's just a very common narrative element for beloved characters passing on the torch. Frankly, I deeply dislike Varric and while I would rejoice in not having him pushed at me anymore I'd find his death very cheap, plotwise.

The game is going to be released in Fall, they can well release the CC/CC+demo around August. He did say they're going to show it a lot, in any case.
